The wedding of our dreams!

Myself and my now husband recently got married at Upton Barn and Walled Garden. We cannot even begin to put into words how perfect our day was. From the start of our booking journey to the running of our wedding day, the staff at Upton were sensational. Throughout the whole process, everything felt personal and all our wants and needs were met. The venue is just stunning and was everything we were looking for when we booked it over 2 years ago. The wait and build up led to a wedding day that was perfect and even surpassed our pwn expectations. Thank you so much to all of the staff at Upton Barn, we will be forever grateful for the memories you allowed us to make.

The most perfect venue

My husband and I both say our wedding day was better than anything we could have imagined. This is greatly down to the incredible Upton Barn team and their gorgeous venue. From the planning meeting to the day itself, the team made everything run so smoothly alongside Mulberry and their incredible catering. We can’t thank Upton enough and feel so blessed to have had our wedding in such beautiful surroundings!

Our wedding day was phenomenal! Not only was it just perfect for us but all of our family & friends, too.

Upton Barn was on my wish list before we got engaged and when we arrived at the first viewing, we just knew it was the perfect venue to get married. Everything from that moment was so easy and relaxed. Any questions we had were answered quickly and you offered so much advice. We appreciate every little thing you all did to make the planning and wedding day incredible.

I don’t have the words to express how our wedding day felt. It was so emotional, everywhere we looked people were smiling and laughing. Everyone has said how beautiful Upton Barn was, they loved the layout and how easy it made the day flow. The staff were fantastic and super helpful.

Georgia- you are such a wonderful person, so sweet and caring. You helped me more than you’ll know, when the nerves kicked in and it was time to walk down the aisle, you kept me calm. Thank you for everything!

Phil - I don’t know how you managed to stay up with us lot! You helped us in so many ways and kept everyone organised when needed. We are truly grateful for everything you did and all the effort you put in.

I could write forever about how perfect our wedding was and I wish I could do it every day!

Absolutely perfect venue and wedding day!

We honestly cannot recommend Upton Barn highly enough! From start to finish they could not be more helpful or accommodating and were responsive to any questions in the lead up.

The paddock to get ready in the morning of the wedding was absolutely perfect, it was spotlessly clean, had everything you could need from towels, to glasses and so much space for everyone.

The venue itself was amazing, the layout of everything had been so well thought through, with the huge windows in the reception room with views over the countryside and horses in the fields, the dance floor was the perfect size, and the courtyard with the fire pit is such a lovely touch. Our weather was ideal meaning our ceremony was in the walled garden which is just beautiful and every single one of our guests said how perfect the venue was.

We couldn't be happier with everything, thank you SO MUCH Upton Barn, we will definitely be recommending to anyone. Thank you xxx

Cannot recommend highly enough

We are so happy that we chose Upton Barn as our wedding venue this summer and we cannot recommend them highly enough 💯

The venue itself has a beautiful modern-industrial design that we loved and it’s situated in the rolling hills of Devon with stunning views all around.

The team at Upton Barn were so friendly and helpful both in the planning stage leading up to the wedding and on the wedding day itself — one example was how they had two event coordinators on the day making sure we were in the right place at the right time, and also liaising with all the suppliers/vendors on the day so we didn’t have to think about that at all. They were also flexible when our meal/speeches overran slightly and they were able to adjust the upcoming schedule on the fly so we didn’t feel too rushed into the next thing.

At Upton Barn you are restricted to choosing between two catering companies that they work with, but this was not a problem at all. We had such a positive experience with Mulberry and highly recommend them. The menu was varied and the food was absolutely delicious.

The two bars were great — they had a good selection of drinks at decent prices and they were well-staffed throughout the day and evening

If you’re considering choosing Upton Barn for your wedding, go for it — you won’t regret it!

The BEST venue and team!

We secured Upton Barn as our wedding venue back in 2022, a few weeks after we got engaged. We had viewed several that day, but nothing compared to the beauty and aesthetic that came with Upton!
Our personal tour was thorough and thoughtful, with the staff answering questions we had and equally asking us questions regarding pricing, interest, themes etc.
They also gave us an entire list of recommended suppliers, to which we used to hire several for our big day!
Upton gave viewing days almost every month in which we could tour the venue and remind ourselves of what type of place we had booked, and ask questions to the team when we visited.

Our special day went so perfectly, and the coordinators involved were amazing! After our meeting with them and inputting all of our information regarding our suppliers to themes, to decoration and food, they took all of the stress off our shoulders. As the bride, I had a relaxed morning getting ready (using their beautiful accommodation, the 'Paddock' for the bridal party to get ready!) and any questions or concerns were communicated to us clearly and provided support when we needed it!

For the money we paid for the venue, the ease of finding the location, the support we got from the coordinators, I wholeheartedly believe this venue is worth every penny!! I look back on photographs and get so emotional remembering that day, and it has given us that clarification that we absolutely made the right decision for our wedding venue!

The most amazing wedding venue!

It's hard to put in to words how amazing Upton Barn & Walled garden is. The whole process was amazing from start to finish. The venue is stunning and all of the staff are so attentive and helpful especially Sarah and Phil. We really wanted a venue that matched us and Upton definitely did that, it certainly isn't the typical old fashioned venue, it's modern and suited us down to the ground. I would recommend this venue to everyone and hope that we'll be able to attend more weddings there in the future. Sending a massive thanks to every single member of staff that we came in contact with. We will remember our day for the rest of our lives!

Amazing venue with even better staff!

We had our wedding with Upton Barn in July 2024. Despite us living overseas the staff at the venue couldn’t have been more helpful. Organising zoom calls and fantastic response time with email communication made the planning process so smooth. They made us feel at ease throughout the whole planning process and were very thorough with details. They were so accommodating with every request we made and helped our day become so personalised. Once meeting them in person we were so reassured our special day would go exactly as planned. On the day they had everything set up for us in the exact place we wanted. The staff were so accommodating and helpful despite problems with weather on our day it flowed so smoothly. All our guests praised the Upton Barn staff with how polite and accommodating they were. We cannot recommend this venue enough, the venue speaks for itself with its natural beauty and fantastic flowing space throughout.
