The wedding of our dreams!

Myself and my now husband recently got married at Upton Barn and Walled Garden. We cannot even begin to put into words how perfect our day was. From the start of our booking journey to the running of our wedding day, the staff at Upton were sensational. Throughout the whole process, everything felt personal and all our wants and needs were met. The venue is just stunning and was everything we were looking for when we booked it over 2 years ago. The wait and build up led to a wedding day that was perfect and even surpassed our pwn expectations. Thank you so much to all of the staff at Upton Barn, we will be forever grateful for the memories you allowed us to make.

Even better than we'd imagined!

Wow, where to begin! Our wedding day was even better than I'd hoped for, and Upton Barn was such a huge part of what made it so wonderful. We had a February wedding and Upton has such a warm, cosy feel to it at that time of year, and looked absolutely gorgeous with lots of candles. We had rain all morning but as it cleared during our ceremony they asked if we wanted to change plans, so we could have our confetti and photos outside, I was so pleased! It was coordinated so seamlessly and easily.

Everyone who works at Upton puts so much care into every detail, Sarah was our coordinator and we can't thank her enough! Her excitement and energy was contagious, and she handled a few last minute changes with ease and really helped us feel relaxed and prepared in the run up to the day. The rest of the team throughout the day were impeccable at making us feel so looked after and happy, we truly got to feel like 'guests of honor' rather than hosts, we absolutely enjoyed every minute and couldn't have done that without them, thank you all!

Each area is so carefully considered, the Paddock is absolutely incredible for getting ready, and the accommodation is gorgeous and so convenient to have nearby. We really loved that there was plenty of seating in the bar area, and we used the entrance space to make a kids area too. Our guests had nothing but amazing things to say about the venue, the staff, and even commented on the reasonable price of drinks, everyone kept comparing it to other weddings and saying how much better Upton was! Having seen friends planning weddings with a lot more stress than me, I know I found the guidance and coordination from Upton invaluable at every stage.

We were unbelievably lucky and won 50% off the venue, we still have to pinch ourselves at how amazing that was, we want to thank Upton again for this incredible prize, and for giving us the absolute dream wedding day. Thank you!!

The BEST venue!

We cannot put into words how thankful we are for everything everyone at Upton have done for us and for our special day. It truly was the best day of our lives! From the moment we came to Upton we knew we did not need to look at any other venue. It had such a warm feel to it that you can only describe once you see it for yourself. We fell in love with it the moment we came onto site and all the extras like the beautiful Paddock, cosy and modern accommodation were all just icing on the top of the cake! Nothing over the past two years of planning was ever too much trouble. Upton were efficient, organised and had such an eye for detail, our day was beyond our wildest expectations. We are genuinely so sad we can’t do it all over again!

The perfect venue

From the first moment we stepped foot in the venue, we were overwhelmed with how stunning the grounds and interior was. It is modern but has character even without adding decor.

The staff were incredible and so helpful. On the day we had a medical emergency and they remained calm and professional and managed to seamlessly attend to the incident, support us as the bride and groom and attend to our other guests. We cannot thank them enough for this.

We were supported with the planning of the day and this helped the day to run smoothly and everything to be perfect! All of our guests commented on how stunning the venue was and how amazing all of the staff were.

I cannot recommend this venue enough!

Dream wedding venue!

The venue truly took our breath away. From the rolling countryside views to the beautifully restored barns, everything felt magical. What we loved most was how the venue already feels so special without needing excessive decoration, it’s full of character, charm, and thoughtful details that speak for themselves.

Wow - blown away! The venue and the staff 😍

The team at Upton are absoloutely incredible, from the lead up and throughout they supported us and helped to shape our wedding day into the most special day. It was all WOW!

We had an inkling from the fantastic website that Upton Barn and Walled Garden was high quality, but we knew for sure that it was the place for us when we met Sarah, one of the wedding coordinators, for a tour. It was all WOW from that moment onwards.

We wanted our day to feel like a treat - to have a loving and memorable experience with our favourite people, whilst giving us space to be joyful and have fun.

The Upton team are hugely experienced, always looking to improve and offer a beautiful personalised service. We immediately trusted that we could plan our day with them and not have to worry about a thing on the...

We had an inkling from the fantastic website that Upton Barn and Walled Garden was high quality, but we knew for sure that it was the place for us when we met Sarah, one of the wedding coordinators, for a tour. It was all WOW from that moment onwards.

We wanted our day to feel like a treat - to have a loving and memorable experience with our favourite people, whilst giving us space to be joyful and have fun.

The Upton team are hugely experienced, always looking to improve and offer a beautiful personalised service. We immediately trusted that we could plan our day with them and not have to worry about a thing on the day. Sarah and the team are super efficient. On our planning visit, we went through everything in great detail. The plans were updated a number of times, so everything was exactly how we wanted it.

We went on two family days during the planning - it felt really special as we were able to show our children and parents around. We got to know the space, so we could consider how we wanted it set up and flow on the day.

The Paddock - what can we say! - we didn’t think we needed it, but when we looked around and visualised getting ready together with our family around us, there were tears! We had Storm Burt join us on the day, but that didn’t get in the way at all. The Paddock was warm and bright - we were cocooned.

We wanted our ceremony to reflect us and to celebrate with our closest friends and family - our chosen celebrant helped us create this and the Upton team set everything up, including playing our chosen music at just the right time.

When we saw the Tac Room (a little bubble for the couple to take a few moments throughout the day), we immediately imagined getting into our inflatable costumes to surprise our guests! And of course the Upton team did everything to keep it a secret and make it all work out as we’d hoped!

There are so many beautiful spaces at Upton and even in November the light is stunning. Our photos both inside and outside capture so much joy and laughter with the most incredible backdrops.

Sarah looked after us so amazingly. She held the day, gently guiding us through each moment. And the handover to Natalie was seamless. We are so grateful to Natalie for making sure the storm didn’t stop a thing - she found the moment to light the fire pit for the marshmallows and to have our sparkler photos!

The Stalls, Bower and The Nest were the perfect end to an incredible day. We walked up the puddly lane, with our dresses bundled in our arms and our rainbow umbrellas held up against the wind and rain. We reached our pods of warmth and comfort.

The only sad thing was having to leave the next day. But at least we get to keep the memories forever.

We couldn’t have chosen a better home for our wedding day.

The grounds at Upton are stunning and the on site accommodation is fabulous, especially the new honeymoon suite. The bridal suite is the dreamiest place to get ready ever, all of the girls loved it so much. Our guests commented on what a wonderful venue Upton is and how it has such a magical, special feel.
