Truly Magical Venue

Whilst this review has been in the making some time following our wedding in July this year, we simply felt time was needed to do absolute justice to the truly wonderful venue that is Wilde Lodge.

Having been to see a few venues around our local area prior to booking, we had continued to leave venues somewhat overwhelmed and deflated. We had started wondering if that feeling of knowing a venue is 'the one' was a simple fairy tale.

That was however until we stumbled across Wilde Lodge back in 2023 and thankfully booked ourselves in for one of the many open days they were offering to perspective couples. Whilst some may say it was...

Whilst this review has been in the making some time following our wedding in July this year, we simply felt time was needed to do absolute justice to the truly wonderful venue that is Wilde Lodge.

Having been to see a few venues around our local area prior to booking, we had continued to leave venues somewhat overwhelmed and deflated. We had started wondering if that feeling of knowing a venue is 'the one' was a simple fairy tale.

That was however until we stumbled across Wilde Lodge back in 2023 and thankfully booked ourselves in for one of the many open days they were offering to perspective couples. Whilst some may say it was the delicious cinnamon buns that drew us in (and they wouldn't be lying), it was hard not to fall in love with the beautiful grounds, lodge and white wash walls of the venues wedding barn (just one of the many places the venue has to offer for your ceremony to take place).

It was on that day and upon driving back down the tree lined lane that we knew Wilde Lodge was meant for us and their was no other place we wished to get married.

Whilst the venues location and utter character is hard to beat, it is the staff who truly make Wilde Lodge what it is with their dedication, kindness and hospitality. From the staff behind the bar, to those cleaning tables and all of the other tasks that go on behind the scene, every single member helped to make our wedding day an utter success and we cannot thank them enough. We do however want to extend our special thanks to our truly amazing wedding coordinator Hannah who is an absolute angel and brought our wedding dreams to life. Not only on the wedding day itself but on the months leading up to the wedding, be that via email or during our scheduled check-ins Hannah was always on hand and helped to make the somewhat stressful time of planning a wedding a rewarding and much easier process. Not only ourselves but our whole family are forever grateful to Hannah, words will never be enough to thank her for what she did in helping us becoming a newly married couple.

Wilde Lodge will always have a special place in ours and our families hearts and we will remember our wedding day with memories of pure joy and happiness.

Dream Venue and Dream Team for the perfect rustic wedding.

Wilde Lodge was the absolute dream venue for our perfect day, and it went down as perfectly as we could have imagined!
The space in the long barn for the ceremony and the safari tent for the wedding breakfast was ideal for our wedding of 70 people.
We also used the Lodge and bell tents for our close family which all worked so well
All the extra activities and seating areas are fantastic and meant our wedding guests could spread out and relax.
Jemma made us feel so welcome and at home at the Lodge when we viewed to venue a year before the wedding and myself, my husband and our two small children all agreed immediately...

Hannah and her team went above and beyond on the day of the wedding for us behind the scenes making the day run smoothly. And on the run up to the wedding Hannah (our wedding coordinator from Wilde Lodge) had regular video calls with us to cover all bases and make sure the day ran perfectly for us.
We would 100% recommend Wilde Lodge to everyone and so well uld all of our guests!

The most amazing Day. Chris & Alison

Wilde Lodge was a amazing place for our small family Wedding.
Hannah Davies was amazing, friendly, helpful and helped every step of the way from, Food, Makeup, Hairdresser, Flowers.
We were made to feel so special by all members of staff and Wilde Lodge are very lucky to have such a amazing team.

Stunning venue!

If you are looking for a venue that is stunning everywhere you look then you have found it! With gorgeous countryside and a river, a beautiful lodge and so many spaces to use for creativity to flow, this is such a special venue.
We had the whole weekend to celebrate and Jemma and the team met us with nothing but encouragement, support and excitement about the plan we envisioned. They really did help make our weekend such a dream and I can’t thank them or recommend them enough.

The most amazing venue!!

It's hard to put into words how incredible this place is.
We've just had our wedding here and it was everything we wanted and more. Each space is beautiful, and so versatile.
You get so much for your money, it's worth every penny.

The staff are all amazing and helpful but Phoebe needs an extra mention as she is all you want from a wedding coordinator and more!!

Lots of guests have commented on how lovely it was there and how great all the staff were.

We are so glad we've got photos and videos in all areas and the grounds. So we can look back on such a special day here.

Can't recommend them enough.

Incredible Venue & Team

Highly recommend the venue & team at Wilde Lodge for anyone's wedding (big or small). If you are considering... definitely book!!

Throughout the entire process the Wilde Lodge team were exceptional.
Thanks to them we managed to book & plan our wedding in 5 weeks. A particular mention to Hannah (our coordinator aka "brides best friend") because she was just fantastic in the weeks leading up to the big day. We had regular catch up via Teams (as we lived 2 hours away). Nothing was too much trouble and she completely put our minds at ease every time we spoke. Even between our catch ups all our email queries were dealt with really quickly by the team.

The day itself was perfect. Despite the weather not being on our side (we'd planned an outdoor ceremony), Hannah was well organised with the back up plan ready to go, which actually turned out to be better than the origional idea. All the staff were really friendly and made our guests feel welcome & at ease. All the small details were thought of and taken care of before you had a chance to worry about them (like the groom forgetting to put on his boutonniere).

Still getting wonderful comments from our guests about how much they enjoyed the day, how stunning the venue is & how helpful the staff were.
Bonus... it's also dog friendly.

Everything we wanted and more!

From the moment we saw Wilde Lodge online we knew it was the venue for us. You can personalise the day and relax knowing that the team would understand your vision and bring it to life (Jess - ❤️) We felt so comfortable here, our family and friends are still talking about how perfect it was. The grounds are perfect and no request is too much. The team worked seamlessly with our suppliers and were on hand for all our needs - from a quick glass of water before the ceremony to decorating with us on Friday.

Stunning rural wedding venue

We had our amazing day in August, at the stunning wilde lodge.

Wilde lodge was local to us so made sense for us to go to an open day. We were blown away by the stunning backdrop, and fell in love with the stunning ceremony location of the Long Barn. We had to book it. We also loved the fact that we could get the venue for the whole weekend meaning family from further afield could stay and making the whole process stress free. The fact we could set up the day before also meant we spent the morning of our wedding focused on us.

Jess our wedding coordinator was fantastic from start to finish. Not only was she simply lovely, she was easy to talk to and any questions we had she answered quickly. During the day she was always on hand, helping organise everything, being super reassuring, and providing much needed pina coladas.

A few amazing extras they have at Wilde Lodge also topped it off for us. Our dog was there on the day which a lot of venues don't allow. Jess even helped up put her harness on. They have a stunning Landrover to take you for photos which was amazing in it's own right. The bar staff were also stellar and just so lovely, making our own custom cocktails.

Hannah, our magnificent wedding coordinator, was on hand from the very beginning - responding quickly to our numerous 'silly questions', checking in with us via video call and then being the most caring and supportive cheerleader when we arrived to set up...not to mention taking care of us both separately when nerves about public speaking inevitably hit. We don't think we've ever seen someone graft so hard and put in so many hours to make sure that we felt that everything was exactly how we pictured it.

Nearly 4 weeks on we are still getting messages from friends and family gushing about how fantastic the day was, how relaxed and comfortable they felt and about how you all, without exception made them feel at home and welcome. Your warmth shone through in spite of the ‘changeable’ weather!

The venue is spectacular, so many amazing spaces and beautiful views, and the food by CSONS perfect. We had so many compliments, “this is not normal wedding food, this is spectacular food!” Thanks to you Hannah for indulging my last minute nerves about...

We are overjoyed that we found Wilde Lodge and you all. You delivered the day we always hoped to achieve and more and you did it whilst making us feel like family. Your support and guidance in the run up to the day made us feel in such safe hands and took a lot of worry away from this stressed bride!
