Rose Castle is a private exclusive hire venue, steeped in history. The 800-year-old castle is set in serene gardens and extensive grounds. Rose Castle offers a truly exceptional venue to enhance any event. With 15 bedrooms, and the facility to sleep 28 in the castle, accommodation is part of the exclusive use rate which runs 2pm - 11am. The state rooms of Rose Castle are designed with timeless elegance and historical charm. The grand Drawing Room featuring unique wallpaper and open fires is spacious yet romantic. The castle’s many rooms and quiet corners invite intimate conversations, laughter and shared stories, making your wedding an experience that lingers far beyond the day itself.

The gardens at Rose Castle create a beautiful backdrop for wedding photographs, garden games and reception drinks. Nonetheless an onsite Chapel, starring stunning stained glass and a grand piano; is licensed for your civil ceremony giving you the unique setting for your vows. Alternatively, Pettinger’s Garden is licensed for an outdoor ceremony.

Onto food at Rose Castle, which is a key part of any wedding celebration and Rose Castle believes the choice of food should reflect the couple. Each couple chooses their menu with assistance from their Head Chef. From 3 or 6 course banqueting celebrations to informal BBQs on the lawn, Rose Castle is committed to tailoring a high level of hospitality through a thoughtful, and personal approach.

Capacity for the Chapel and State Dining Room is 78 guests. Rose Castle can also host upto 90 guests during the day using the private dining room. For evening receptions, Rose Castle can host up to 120 guests. If you are looking to host a celebration for larger numbers, a teepee or marquee would be required on the grounds.
