Facilities and Capacity

Set on over 150 acres, this property was thought to be the last campsite of Richard III's army before the battle of Bosworth. Additionally, records from 1279 indicate that there was a manor and chapel on the site, adding to its historical significance. For your big day, you'll have access to 3 large kata tipis and 1 king tipi. The kata tipis can be decorated to your specifications, and they're ideal for hosting a wedding breakfast or evening reception. The king's tipi provides additional space for you and your guests to kick back and relax. Say 'I do' on the property with a celebrant-led ceremony that can take place outdoors or inside the spacious tents. A photographer's dream, this venue provides ample opportunities for stunning images of your special day. Once night falls, enchanting fairy lights and a flickering firepit create a warm atmosphere for dancing and celebrating.

Services Offered

Sheepy Meadows can host ceremonies and receptions, offering a wide variety of services to help you create the wedding day you've always imagined. You may choose to hold a celebrant-led ceremony on the property, but a list of nearby churches and registry offices can also be provided. A number of items are included with the venue, including wooden tables, cross-back chairs, and a cake table. You and your guests can enjoy the large dance floor, complete with a disco ball and spotlights. Creating your favourite cocktails, this venue provides a full-service bar which accepts cash and credit card payments. Mouthwatering catering can be provided by Saffron Catering, which whips up everything from delicious wedding breakfasts to late-night bites. A list of preferred vendors offering additional services can be provided, but they also offer the flexibility to choose your own suppliers. For greater comfort, this property is equipped with toilet facilities and on-site parking, as well as heating and electricity.

Sustainability

Here at Sheepy Meadows, we are surrounded by wonderful countryside, which we want to protect for future generations to enjoy. We all know that the environment is precious, so we thought we’d do our bit. In 2007 we planted 12,000 trees over 20 acres to help offset our carbon emissions. In 2015 we completed work on installing a 12kw solar PV system.

In addition, we support local biodiversity with our very own wildflower meadow, beehives and reinstated historical hedges on site.

In addition to the above, our on-site catering team source local ingredients to support local, sustainable providers and cut food transportation emissions. Plus, we also have a zero landfill policy on all waste.

In 2023 Sheepy Meadows was awarded the GOLD ECOsmart award by events and hospitality sustainability specialists Greengage Solutions for proving a comprehensive approach to environmental sustainability.
