If you're looking for somewhere a little less conventional to hold your wedding, Kelham Island museum could not be more perfect! It has an industrial charm and the reception room needs so little decoration due to its original features. The team were so helpful and did everything they could to make our day just as we wanted it. Although there are some restrictions (I believe you are limited to certain caterers due to the venue not having a kitchen, and limitations on where confetti can be thrown), the team were flexible to our wishes. Booking process was easy and we were welcome to view as many times as we needed. We had a very useful meeting with the wedding co-ordinator a week before which meant everything ran smoothly. Extra points for not having to pack up the venue yourself on the night and not having to be there super early the next day to collect things. We would highly recommend this venue - 10/10 would marry here again

We had an amazing wedding reception at Whirlow Hall Farm. Meg and her team worked tirelessly to ensure everything went smoothly on the day and dealing with her beforehand was a pleasure. The food was excellent (and plenty) and it was great that so much of it was locally produced. The decorations (by wildweddingdays) was even better than we had imagined. If you are looking for an informal, relaxed and personal wedding reception venue, we highly recommend Whirlow Hall Farm

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Tapton hall and it was the best wedding day we could have wished for. The staff were brilliant everything was perfect and the food was amazing. We can’t thank them all enough for making our day so special.

From arranging to view the Adelphi room to putting the whole day together, Ellen's communication with us was very open and quick. We booked the room a year in advance which gave us enough time to get all the details together. We had a lot of back and forth emails with Ellen approaching the day to confirm details and met with her personally 2 weeks before the day, to discuss everything. Even after our final meeting, Ellen was incredibly understanding with our late night emails to her of details or questions we forgot to raise. Working with her definitely made the wedding planning process a lot better and less stressful. We mainly chose to hold our wedding at Crucible because we were allowed to have our little Archie (our dog) for the entirety of the occasion and it was within our budget. The room has air-conditioning so although it was warm in the foyer, it was cool and comfortable where we were. The food was enjoyable although there were some delays to it so we had to wait a bit for it to be served. The rest of the staff that I met on the day were all so friendly, professional and accommodating, they honestly couldn't do enough for us. We had shots of tequila and JD honey for our toasts which they had also accommodated by request. It was a shame that it rained all day as we couldn't have photos with guests outside but luckily we only had 20 guests so we had plenty of room indoors in the foyer. The reception decorations were perfect and even better than we had imagined. 100% would recommend holding small weddings here especially if you're looking for a more laid back and non-traditional wedding. Wedding planner Dharby was fantastic. We wanted to book quickly and she invited us to meet her the same day and fitted us in for six weeks time, although she had earlier dates. It was effortless for us as she arranged everything and bespoke too. On the day Molly and Matthew met us and helped take in our things, Molly gave me and my sister a drink to get ready in our rooms, and again ensured everything ran smoothly. The venue looked wonderful inside and out and all our guests commented what a great venue it was for a wedding. We would highly recommend The Old Rectory and are really grateful for their excellent and professional service.

The Maynard is not only is a fantastic place, set in a beautiful location - the people that work there mirror it. Amazing service, amazing food, attentiveness, drive to make everything perfect. I highly recommend the Maynard for your wedding. Soraya and team are second to none. Thank you for pulling together such a perfect day.

We had absolute confidence in The Mowbray team from day one and the way they pulled off our evening wedding party did not disappoint. We would not change a single thing about our wedding day and they did an incredible job, from the venue styling, facilitating surprises for our guests to the amazing food. We would do it all over each month if we could and can’t thank the team enough for everything they have done. If you want a wedding done right, do it at The Mowbray

Newlyweds (me and my husband) we would just like to both thank all the hotel staff for making our wedding say truely special we couldn't have asked for anything more, right from staying the night before to breakfast the day after our wedding we couldn't fault a single thing! Megan has been an absolute diamond from the start of planning our wedding and Charlotte did an absolutely fantastic job in ensuring we had the best wedding day ever! All our friends and family commented on it being lovely! Hats off to the chef for the lovely food, no one at all had any fault! The staff have all been very friendly and welcoming and we were all looked after great!! The hotel staff have kept in contact with me from day 1 of looking around for a wedding venue right till after our honeymoon, emailing us to see if we enjoyed our wedding day! Everything was absolutely perfect and left us wanting for nothing I would recommend this hotel to anyone whether it be a spa day, weekend away, overnight stay, meal out and would certainly recommend this as a wedding venue!! Thankyou all again so much for making our day extra special! And thankyou for The personalised touch in our bridal suite, the bubbly, chocolate and cake was a lovely touch!! We had our wedding reception at Halifax hall after getting married at a local church. We were a little hesitant to book the hotel as there aren’t many reviews but after meeting Amy and Francesca and all the staff at the hotel we knew it would be the right choice. We booked all the rooms so that our guests could stay for the weekend and it meant we had full use of all the rooms. Both Amy and a Francesca were really approachable and easy to get hold of. We live in Hertfordshire so it meant we didn’t get to have many wedding meetings but we did this over the phone and by email instead. The food was delicious and all our guests complimented the food and friendliness of the staff. The rooms are comfortable, a little small but very clean and high spec. We opted for canapés and welcome drinks in the music room which looks out onto the lawn, then wedding breakfast in the Ennis room, we had a band next door in the library and then the dance floor back in the Ennis room. This made everything flow really well. The only addition we would have would be one more bartender! A great little find in a lovely leafy part of Sheffield with excellent customer service!
