Sissons Barn is located in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. This family-run venue is nestled in the quaint village of Peakirk.

Our stunning exclusive use Barn has exposed oak hammer beams and a timeless interior. The versatile space will suit any colour theme or style of wedding. Sissons Barn is the perfect blank canvas to suit any colour palette or theme you may have in mind. You'll delight at the modern but rustic features of this venue, from the huge glass windows the natural light beams into the barn, lighting up the venue in beautiful ways. The unique blacksmith's forge is steeped in history and lends itself as a beautiful backdrop for your day.

The barn is surrounded by landscaped gardens, which boast vibrant lawns, blossoming flowerbeds, and an ever-growing wildflower meadow. With biodiversity and sustainability at our heart we care for the gardens and wildlife ourselves and even harvest rain water ready for the summer months.

Everyone wants their big day to be unique and at Sissons no two weddings are ever the same. You will get the chance to create a wedding day that is absolutely ‘you’. You and your guests can explore the lounge and enjoy the sun in our wildflower gardens, our beautiful resin topped bar is incorporated into the room so that you can enjoy some refreshments throughout the day.

Sissons Barn is a fully licensed venue which offers exclusive use with dynamic spaces, perfectly adaptable and versatile to suit your wedding vision. For your ceremony, we have 3 Ceremony areas, The ever popular Willow Room, The Grand Porch and The Forge, which can all host up to 100 guests, with our temperature controlled dining area growing to a capacity of 120 for a seated dining experience and up to 180 for your evening reception.

Whether you choose to get married onsite in one of our three beautiful ceremony areas or wish to have an offsite ceremony your wedding will include the following -

A personal service from your first viewing to beyond your big day. Our small but enthusiastic Team, love to create personal connections with you and encourage regular meetings to help make your wedding vision come to life.

Day before to set up and a collection time the day after. The set up day is for arranging your table centrepieces and styling the venue to your colour palette and theme. We will be on hand to assist and advise you as well calming and relaxing you before the big day.

Personalised Copper Leaf handmade onsite for each couple to hang in our gardens.

Tractor Ride into the countryside, a chauffeur driven tractor ride on our 67 year old Massey Ferguson (Fergi), a beautiful time in the day to spend together to celebrate privately. Wether by day or at golden hour, take along your photographer to capture your special moments together.

The Lounge contains our soft sofas and log burner create a calming space to take a few rejuvenating breaths away from the hustle and bustle of the day. It’s also a great room for a Photo Booth. You can hire our Vintage Tea Set for ‘help yourself’ teas and coffees.

Our passionate bar and waiting team will be with us to serve and help coordinate your day to perfection.

Tables, Chairs, Outdoor Furniture, Linen, Cutlery, Glassware and Crockery are included in your hire price.

Food and Drink

Sissons Barn is quite unique in our food and drink choices for your reception, wedding breakfast and evening. We want you to have your menu your way. This means within our minimum spend on food you can create a truly unique menu based on your own tastes and budgets. As well as bespoke food we also offer a bespoke drinks menu, so you can really personalise your drinks. The options are endless and will really help make your wedding be as unique as you. We have a fully licensed and staffed bar within the Main Barn fully accessible to all your guests.
