What a sensational venue. We spent many hours researching venues and booked multiple viewings, however from the moment we walked into Slaley, we knew this was the venue. The hall is spectacular and catered for our large wedding, but they also had additional rooms that we were able to use for other aspects of the wedding and pre-wedding. The outdoor space is unmatched, with huge patio and gardens for guests to venture out to and a hidden garden that guests loved exploring. The venue itself pictures very well and we were able to get many great drone shots too. Slaley Hall also has a golf course and spa that the wedding guests were able to use around the wedding and they all loved.
But Slaley Hall wouldn’t be Slaley Hall without their incredible wedding coordinating team. They were very attentive, professional, supportive and helped make our wedding incredible. They were very accommodating to have meetings around our busy shift work and their expertise shone through as they guided us through all the intricacies of wedding planning and organising. On the day, they made the day run so smoothly and were very active, allowing us to enjoy our wedding. A special mention to Becky and Kate who were sensational and we feel without them the wedding wouldn’t have been so smoothly run. Thank you to the whole team. Mohamed and Nasreen

We had our wedding at Slaley Hall and had a fantastic experience. From the first meeting, they talked us through what would happen at each point of the day, giving us the options available to us, and making the pricing clear and understandable.

In the build up to our wedding, they were always prompt at replying to emails with all our questions, no matter how silly. We appreciated the organised and structured approach to our 6 month- and 1 month- meetings. We discussed each part of the day and the options available, which put our minds at ease that every detail had been considered and there would be no surprises on the day.

The wedding day itself was magical. The venue is truly special - it looks like a castle on the outside, and has a hidden Japanese garden for photographs. The day ran exactly to schedule. Our food was delicious as well, and received compliments from the guests.

I can’t thank Kate and the team at slaley hall enough. We had our dream wedding which was absolutely perfect. The team were so accommodating with any changes and I couldn’t have done without them, especially Kate and Becky! I would 100% recommend them. Our day was perfect!

We are so happy we booked Slaley Hall for our wedding venue; the venue is beautiful and the staff were perfectly attentitive to our needs. Our guests remarked throghout the weekend how beautiful the location was and how professional the staff were.

Laura, our coordinator went above and beyond to make sure everything was ready for us. On the day, Sarah made sure everything ran like clockwork. There was one hitch with our canapés that we passed on to Laura the day after the wedding (we had ordered 4 different types but only 3 were served on the day, one of which was different to what we had ordered|) but this did not detract from what was the perfect day at the perfect venue.

We would highly recommend to anyone considering Slaley for their wedding venue.

We had the most perfect day from start to finish. Our wedding coordinator Laura was fantastic especially contacting us and putting our minds at rest regarding the covid pandemic they answered any questions we had and were very fast at replying to my emails. On the day we arrived much earlier than they anticipated us but it wasn't a problem we were shown to the bar and they promptly set everything up for the drinks reception. We chose the dukes suite for our sit down meal as the views across the golf course we're amazing and it offered a more intermit environment. Food was delicious and everyone loved our choice and they even selected a few special dishes for family with food allergies which they took very serious. Night time we moved onto the keilda suite which provided excellent space with its own bar for our night time party. The staff were amazing especially David who was on the day our go to person and also the concierge Nevil who was great and looked after our belongings and put them in our room ready for the night. I can't thank everyone enough for what they did for us.

Beautiful surroundings, brilliant team. Laura was the most amazing and helpful wedding planner ever! Communication was amazing (especially when you had to do it four times). Will made the day run so smoothly and the team on the day were amazing too. We only viewed the one venue because as soon as we seen Slaley, we knew it was for us. Highly recommend!

I could not recommend Slaley Hall enough. We were unfortunate that we had booked our wedding in 2020 and therefore had to postpone our day. Our wedding planner Laura could not have been any more helpful. There was never a moment where we felt unsupported or stressed. I had read about other venues who had asked couples to change their price or to go ahead with the wedding with the limited numbers but Slaley never pressured us to do this. They were incredibly supportive throughout and as we got married at the end of November 2020, I had asked if any Christmas trees would be up in time for our day and Slaley went out of their way to make sure this happened. It looked stunning and made our day even more special.

The venue is absolutely stunning. We chose to be married in the drawing room and then have our meal and evening reception in the kielder suite. Both of which were perfect for 80 guests. The food was delicious! Throughout the day, all the staff went out of their way and the entertainment on the night time was fantastic. We booked a winter package with Slaley that included a DJ from Prime Entertainment. He was absolutely brilliant and the dance floor was full the whole night.

Most of our guests chose to stay and commented on how lovely their rooms were. I stayed in the Ladywell suite the night before the wedding (perfect for getting ready in on the morning with bridesmaids) and the Ministeracres on the night of the wedding. Both rooms were phenomenal!

We chose to have our photos taken outside and also made good use of the Japanese gardens. We managed to get some amazing photos courtesy of our amazing photographer (Stephen Beecroft).

I honestly could not recommend Slaley enough. They made our day absolutely perfect and we’re worth every penny!

Me and my husband got married here in september 21, I highly reccomend slaley hall it is the most beautiful hotel amazing staff who could not help us enough we had the best day ever and we couldnt of done it with out all the staff there the rooms are gorgeous too. I would highly reccomend any one to get married here

Can not fault the wedding team at slaley. Our 1st date in 2020 was cancelled due to pandemic and the team were fabulous and so helpful. Kate our wedding coordinator was particularly fantastic. Everything we asked was answered immediately. She kept me calm throughout the planning especially in the current circumstances with restrictions changing. The wedding day took place and everything ran like clockwork, luckily the restrictions were all lifted and our day went as planned thanks to Ben the operations manager and team. I wish I could do it all again!

A truly wonderful experience giving complete satisfaction from start to finish. The team at Slaley must be congratulated on every aspect of a truly magnificent day and night nothing too much trouble and so so professional in every way never a hesitation to be back in there company and care well done all.

Honestly the best day of our lives! We had our wedding at Slaley Hall, booked in feb 2022 for 23rd May 2024 and from the get go was hoping for our wedding to be outside under pagoda. Had heart set on this but due to weather week leading up was clear this wasn’t going ahead as rain wasn’t the best, the team as Slaley had a back up in drawing room in this case and it couldn’t have been more perfect, I ended up preferring it!! Such a beautiful room for our wedding, infact all the rooms including one prior for wedding party was huge and spacious for myself and my 6 bridesmaids to get ready in! Every staff member we encountered could not have done more for us, all extremely friendly and helpful, made us feel so at home!

All in all our whole wedding was a complete dream of what we wanted, infact more!! It was the best day of our lives and we can’t thank Slaley Hall enough for all their help and support throughout!!

WHAT A FANTASTIC DAY AND NIGHT WE HAD.NOTHING WAS A PROBLEM TO THE TEAM.FROM RISING IN THE MORNING THE TEAM WERE ON HAND TO HELP THE BRIDE PREPARE FOR HER DAY TO HELPING DOWNLOAD THE MUSIC FOR THE DISCO ON THE NIGHT.THE SUPPORT FOR THE WEDDING SERVICE AND EVEN THE 2 REGISTRARS FROM HEXHAM WERE REALLY SUPPORTIVE.THE FOOD AT THE RECEPTION WAS REALLY GOOD AND THE DECORATION IN OUR RECEPTION ROOM REALLY NICE.ALTOGETEHER AN AMAZING WEEKEND.

My whole journey from the beginning to the end was amazing. If it wasn’t for Slaley hall my dream day wouldn’t of went the way it did.
From the venue, staff to management was spot on. Kate Walker was my events planner and What a lady she is. She was so professional and so understanding from the start. She help me prepare for my big day and checked up on my always and kept me sane! The venue itself was the most dreamiest place and I still pinch myself to think I got married there. Lastly. Let’s not forgot the grooms helicopter entrance. Thank you so much for letting us use your grounds. Everyone still speaks about it until today. We originally booked our wedding for July 2020 . We postponed twice due to the pandemic. Each time we postponed nothing was too much trouble and staff went out of their way to accommodate us . When we finally got our day everything was so organised and staff couldn’t do enough. Stunning venue. A day we will never forget. Special mention must go to Kate for her help running up to the wedding.
