Stately Home Wedding Venues in Essex

My daughter hannah married hurry on the 7th sept 2019 It was the best wedding I have ever been to. I am the father and have had nothing to do with any planning..my daughter and husband did it all. The staff at Hatfield place were wonderful, led superbly by Michele. She was extraordinary.. adding ever bit of detail that was needed. She was on hand 24/7 The building has been beautifully restored and all the rooms in the house are majestic. And the orangery and grounds where the reception was held was amazing. This has all been built over the past year and made the day so special and the pictures were incredible with beautiful back drops ..go and see this place before you decide on anywhere else..

To have such a grand, historical building on our doorstep in Ilford is amazing. The mansion allows us to come away with great pictures and have a gorgeous setting for the big day

We are so glad we chose Barnston Lodge to hold our wedding reception. The stunning house, lawns and beautiful lake were just perfect, and our photographs are fantastic! We would have no hesitation to recommend Barnston Lodge as a wedding venue. I''m sure some of our single friends will be calling you in the future!

I attended a wedding of one of my friends this year at Creeksea Place.. Excellent service, organization, location.. couldn't have been more beautiful.

A fantastic venue, superb food, great service, beautiful grounds, what more can I say!!! The deer roaming in the nearby deer park, that the gardens overlook, just adds to the idylic setting.

I attended a wedding here as a guest, and have to say it was the best wedding i have ever been to! The venue itself is spectacular, with lovely gardens and spacious, elegant rooms inside. The service was first class, (as was the food) and the staff were efficient yet inobtrusive. My only complaint would be the toilet facilities, there aren't enough! But now i'm planning my own wedding, i only wish i lived closer so that i could hold my own reception there!

From the road this hotel looks disapointing but once inside you are transported back to another era. The barn is truely stunning - beams and ornate brick gives this a truely magical place to hold your reception. I would sincerely recomend to everyone. The grounds are also good lots of places for photos. It was a joy to decorate as a balloon decorator - my pictures have captured the magic of the barn.

We chose Fennes because the grounds are so beautiful and well kept and the Pavilion is absolutely stunning. The dance floor is through a door with the pavilion being separated by a glass partition, which allows for loud music to dance too whilst the guests that don't fancy a dance can hear the music, see the dance floor and still be able to talk (which is great for the oldies). Sometimes I felt that communication breakdown had happened between the wedding planners, e.g., I had asked that the guests leave via the French doors, the canapé's and Pimms be served 'after' the group photographs and the meal be put 15 mins. Later. This had not been told to the wedding planner on the day, so the guests all left through the main door, they were eating and drinking whilst the photographer was trying to do the groups shots then we were told that we could not do the receiving line due to time restrictions. The food was fresh and well cooked/presented (silver service)and staff were top class. (Note: when they say 'spicy' they mean it!!! - though it didn't give heartburn great quality)
