Stately Home Wedding Venues in London

We held our wedding reception at Winchester House this summer. From the moment we met Heidi and were shown the venue with its beautiful rooms and gardens we knew it was perfect for us. So many other venues we visited were promising until you saw the main reception room as they always seemed to be soulless 'underground bunkers'. Winchester House's ballroom however is on the first floor and full of natural light overlooking the river. It is stunning! We had canapes, a three course wedding breakfast and evening snacks. We also opted for the full drinks packages as it was so reasonably priced. Everything was perfect and we have received so many compliments from our guests who have also commented on how lovely the staff were. Heidi ensured that we had the best wedding day and I cannot thank her enough. Simply wonderful.

We had an absolutely amazing day. It couldn't have been more perfect. We had so many wonderful comments about the orangery, the mansion and the park being so beautiful. I can’t thank you enough for everything you did both on the day and in the run up. I know how busy we kept you on the day and on emails and meet ups beforehand! You have been so patient, calm and reassuring and I felt totally confident about the day knowing that you were going to be there.

The wedding was absolutely brilliant. Some of our guests said that it was the best wedding that they'd ever been to. Hurrah! The food was exceptional and noted by a lot of people. The service was superb. The co-ordination of course utterly brilliant.

Thanks so much for all your work in organising our wedding on Friday - we had such a wonderful, wonderful day and it was all down to you and the rest of the team at Dartmouth House for making it happen! The space itself is one of the most stunning spaces one could hope to find in central London, and the four rooms all lent themselves perfectly to arrival drinks, dinner, dancing and after-dinner drinks. More importantly, the team at the Drapers left nothing to be desired. The food was delicious (something several guests commented on after), and everything ran seamlessly from start to finish. They were incredibly accommodating with any requests I had (for example, volunteering port glasses for my Swedish schnapps toast), and handled so many details for me that I was probably the least-stressed bride that any of my friends have encountered – both in the weeks and months prior, as well as on the day. Even the most micro-managing bride should rest assured that she is in very capable hands with the Drapers events team, and rather focus on revelling in the joy of the big day.”

If you want to feel like Cinderella, and have each and every one of your guests say WOW at the same time when they walk into your venue, then go to the Painted Hall. It has to be seen to be believed - it is quite breathtaking and without exception our guests were blown away by its beauty. Topped with the fact that the catering is done by Leiths, you can have one really amazing "do", and they are very good at catering for your exact budget so you don't even have to break the bank. The team at Leiths were quite simply wonderful - which was particularly important to me as I was arranging the wedding from New York, so didn't have time to chase people up all the time. The meal and drink service on the day was like a military operation, and so many of our guests commented on the fantastic food, and the fact that every time they turned around their glass had already been filled!! (Perfect for our friends!) After the meal that took 3 hours (we didn't want to leave the setting!) we went downstairs for dancing which was great as there's a bar that runs along the whole length of the room - with lots of staff as there's nothing worse than waiting for a drink! If I had to do it all again there's nothing I would change - apart from the fact I'm so sad that I don't have to speak to my contacts there again - they became firm friends in my 9 months of planning! Go and see for yourself the venue - words really can't do it justice.

We received amazing help and assistance from the team at Ironmongers' Hall and the caterers. Everything ran like clockwork and was faultless. Our guests had a wonderful time and it is a wonderful setting to get married. It is hard to know what else to say because it was all so brilliant.
