My daughter got married here in summer 2017. Fabulous venue - even better now with the improvements they've made, but it was the quality of service that was stand-out and supported the planning and the running of the day so well. Highly recommended!

We were lucky enough to have our wedding here in October 2019 and everything was perfect. It's an absolutely stunning venue and many of our guests commented on how amazing it was and how good the food was. The staff are extremely attentive and were excellent from the very beginning. On the day they helped us set up our decorations and were very good at communicating with us and letting us know what was happening and any decisions we needed to make. The whole experience was first class and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend the venue for anyone considering it.

In particular the service was outstanding, efficient and attentive to a degree of excellence many Caterers could only dream of aspiring to. The food was delicious, light and as Greg on master chef would say “yummy” . The Company too was great, quickly gelling, coupled with the splendid atmosphere of the house delivered a perfect evening. The house is unique. It casts a spell over you as you sit there to make you feel welcome, content and yet honoured to be there.

Having the freedom and flexibility to plan the wedding we wanted, rather than being restricted by a set package, was most appealing to my husband and I. We wanted a day that was utterly unique and Birdsall House gave us that and so much more. Indeed, we are sure that Lady Cara and her team will make certain that no two weddings are ever the same there. Having exclusive use of the entire venue made a definite difference to us. We felt privileged to host our family and friends in a place that holds so much history and our guests could not fail to be impressed by the size and scale of the house. The grounds Birdsall is set within were also a beautiful backdrop for our photographs and gave us the scope to put up a party tent - allowing our celebrations to continue on into the night. Having a Church on the estate made our wedding all the more meaningful for us and brought an added dimension to our day. We had just what we wanted and Birdsall House will hold a special place in our hearts forever more!

We got married at The Hawkhills on 4th March 2017 and couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding venue! The wedding package at gives you everything you need and more - exclusive use of the venue for the whole weekend, freedom to be as creative and unique as you like in order to create the perfect wedding for you as a couple, and not to mention to continual support from all the staff before, during and after the event. Kevin the Toastmaster creates a extra special atmoshphere and keeps the day running smoothly, whilst also being entertaining in his role. Craig the chef cooks delicious food that was loved by all, and could easily cater to our requirements. Carla and the waiting staff were very accomodating and friendly, and last but not least Sophie the wedding coordinator went out of her way to make sure everything down to the last detail was exactly how we wanted it - we couldn't have done it with out her! We would thoroughly recommend The Hawkhills as a wedding venue - you won't be disappointed!

We were looking for a small venue for our wedding. We only had 27 guests and were worried that we would feel lost in a big venue - or worse, there would be another wedding there at the same time as ours. Markenfield was just perfect for us as ours was the only wedding and it was a lovely intimate venue. The Administrator bent over backwards to help us put our plans together, the catering was delicious and the the hall itself gave us a beautiful backdrop for our wedding photos.
