We can't recommend Crow's Hall enough. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, but most importantly you get the opportunity to organise a completely unique wedding - the owner Caroline will guide and advise you, but also give you the freedom to choose the style of wedding and providers that you want. Importantly, Caroline also doesn't accept many weddings during the year, so you don't have the feeling you're on a wedding factory line! Caroline is also absolutely lovely (as are the horses and dogs who also live at Crow's Hall) and we became firm friends throughout the whole process, and have kept in touch since the wedding.

Stunning location, beautiful setting overlooking the river Orwell. We loved the flexibility of the place and the fact we were able to keep going until 1am. We really made it our own with our personal touches.

We are so pleased we chose Lanwades Hall as our wedding venue. The building and the grounds are beautiful and the advice and support we received from Sophia was invaluable. We loved having the freedom to choose our own caterers, décor and entertainment in such beautiful surroundings and knowing that the hire fee goes to the Animal Health Trust was an added bonus. We were even able to have a vintage ice cream van in the evening, which was a real hit with our guests. We had looked at other venues and always felt that the ceremony rooms were an afterthought, but when we walked into the Morning Room, we knew instantly that it was special enough for the most important part of our day. Getting ready in the Old Library was an amazing start to the day and provided a stunning background for our bridal preparation photos. Sophia’s calm approach was just what we needed when organising our wedding. In the run up to our wedding, Sophia offered us advice and suggestions about suppliers, layout and timings and took a lot of stress out of the planning process. On the day, Sophia made sure that everything ran smoothly and ensured that we could enjoy our day without any added pressure. So many of our guests have commented on how well our wedding suited us as a couple and we truly believe that is because of the flexibility that Lanwades Hall offers.
