From the very first visit to Bowcliffe, we knew this was the place for us, beautiful grounds with a bit of quirkiness (which we really liked). Although the grounds and facilities are great, I have to say it was the Bowcliffe Team that made our Big day really special. Nothing was too much trouble and we always felt confident and reassured throughout the planning process. We wanted our day to be a fantastic experience for the both us, and for our guests....Bowcliffe Hall didn't let us down.

We had our wedding day on 06.08.2022, the ceremony at sledmere house and the reception in the barn. Sledmere provides the perfect wedding location with a fairy tale feel and amazing walled gardens for photographs. The library room is picture perfect and a special place to say ‘I do’. The barn allowed us to pick our own suppliers and decorate to how we wished. The staff team are professional, friendly, approachable and made the day run smoothly. Michaela Kemp is the wedding coordinator and is passionate about her job! We couldn’t have planned the day without her support. I would recommend sledmere for any new couples looking for a perfect place to get married.

We were lucky enough to have our wedding here in October 2019 and everything was perfect. It's an absolutely stunning venue and many of our guests commented on how amazing it was and how good the food was. The staff are extremely attentive and were excellent from the very beginning. On the day they helped us set up our decorations and were very good at communicating with us and letting us know what was happening and any decisions we needed to make. The whole experience was first class and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend the venue for anyone considering it.

In particular the service was outstanding, efficient and attentive to a degree of excellence many Caterers could only dream of aspiring to. The food was delicious, light and as Greg on master chef would say “yummy” . The Company too was great, quickly gelling, coupled with the splendid atmosphere of the house delivered a perfect evening. The house is unique. It casts a spell over you as you sit there to make you feel welcome, content and yet honoured to be there.
