Never been somewhere that seemed so much like a family!

We had our wedding at Storrs Hall on 26th March 2024, from the get go the team were so amazing, going out of there way and doing little things to make us excited for our big day, we even received a Christmas card the year before from the team! When we arrived we were able to get in to our room right away and they were so happy to have us, talking to us about the details of the day and getting everything organised. We had a meal with our guests the night before at the Bistro and the food was incredible! Service amazing and everything just hit the whole event off with so much positivity! The day of the wedding everyone was so organised and it really was like they were hosting a family members wedding, after the wedding and we returned to our room we even had a card and small gift from the staff as a congratulations. We can’t wait to return to Storrs Hall for anniversary’s just to be a part of that little family again ❤️

sincerely awesome

‘I thought it appropriate to formally write to you regarding my 50th birthday party at Storrs hall this weekend. I booked my party way back in Feb this year. From the moment I met you, Sarah, you made the planning so easy ……your efficiency and attentiveness has been superb and consistent throughout .
Then here comes the most important thing …my party this weekend was absolutely amazing …and I mean sincerely awesome. From the girls on reception who welcomed all my guests and helped with luggage and hosted everybody to their rooms [ Toni , Ellen …cannot remember all the names] to the staff who served my guests in the ballroom and of course “Fred” who ran the show with a big smile on his face throughout the night . He is a special man. The food that chef prepared was exceptional with everybody commenting on how delicious all the courses were …so please thank him and the team.
In summary Storrs hall delivered a world class event /party with levels of customer service that are up there with best I have ever experienced [ anywhere in the world ]
I will be back soon!

romantic setting

I got married at Storrs Hall March 2006. The hotel is stunning and has a real romantic feel about it. Married in the rotunda with some guests watching the ceremony from the circular balcony above, this was something different and made a good talking point!Food and drinks were divine, had bacon sandwiches for supper! As ceremony and reception under one roof, this made for a relaxed atmosphere. The amazing venue enhanced a perfect day. (scenery for photos is beautiful!)

Amazing!

I got married here on the 27th April and it is the most amazing place I have been to.
The service from all the staff is outstanding. The location could not be better and the food and wine fantastic.
The only place to get married in the Lake District. We will definately be visiting again!

Fantastic staff and an amazing location.

I am getting married at Storrs Hall in April 2003. After having visited many hotels in the Lake District,it was refreshing to visit Storrs Hall. The staff are so friendly and cannot do enough to assist and make you feel welcome and special. The location is amazing and feels like the perfect place. Definately worth looking at if you want to get married in the Lake District.

A beautiful building in a fantastic location

We stumbled across this hotel by chance on our way south to Newby Bridge (you can only see the sign from this direction) and what a wonderful find! The Georgian building is a lovely warm yellow colour steeped in history and is located next to the lake with it's own jetty if you wish to hire a cruise boat. The staff were very polite and helpful and gave as much information as possible in a professional, friendly manner. There are 2 locations for the wedding ceremony - the smallest with a circular balcony for guests to watch from! The decor was the best I have seen from all the hotels I viewed around Windermere - yet not the most expensive. There are also cottages for hire in the grounds if there are not enough rooms for your guests. The only downside is that the reception only caters for a max. of 65 (you can hire a marquee for larger groups) and as with most of the hotels in the vicinity you have to hire the whole hotel for 2 nights if you have your reception there. You could get round this and do as I am thinking and hire a boat for your reception and just have the civil ceremony there. Also, children under 12 are not allowed.

By far the best hotel I have seen. Could be the one for me!
