Stucktaymore is a magnificent house overlooking Loch Tay. The entire house and grounds near the Perthshire village of Killin is available to hire exclusively as a small, private wedding venue. It’s suitable for wedding celebrations and accommodation for up to 29 guests. Hold the ceremony indoors or outdoors, we have plenty of space. We also have a large dining table seating up to 29 for the wedding breakfast, and a party room for the evening celebrations. The house has 13 ensuite bedrooms, so all guests can stay on site.

The Estate

Stucktaymore has beautiful grounds extending to about four acres. There are lawns surrounding the house and rolling towards the fields leading to Loch Tay. A stunning setting for intimate weddings up to our occupancy of 29 guests with uninterupted views of Loch Tay.

There are woodlands to the west of the house and a tumbling burn cascade through the trees, crisscrossed by bridges linking the paths that meander through the magnificent variety of mature trees. Hidden in the woods there are three fire pits ranging from magnificent to intimate. The larger fire pit is perfect for a toasting marshmallows!

Accommodation

13 beautiful en suite bedrooms able to accommodate 29 people. All rooms are king with one twin and three rooms offering triple occupancy (king and single). A large high spec luxury kitchen with Aga is extremely well equipped and leads into our breakfast room. The sitting room offers stunning ceiling-high windows with views out to Loch Tay. An open plan room where we offer dining for up to 26 comfortably. Off this room leads you to our stone built Snug, one of the favorite rooms in the House with an open fire. Next door our Library, also with open fire and TV is an ideal quite room for a game of cards or simply read a book from our window seat and admire the breathtaking views.

There is a Mud Room/Utility Room with washing machine and tumble dryer and on a further washing machine on the Lower Ground Floor.

Entertainment & Party

On the entertainment level we offer the media and entertainment room with 80’ inch screen TV, DVD player, Xbox One, Sky Channels, Sport and Movies via Now TV. Games room with pool table leads you to the bar area ideal to set up drinks for your stay. A further entrance on this level leads you to the outdoor space offering a further large terrace with outside dining and a 7-seater hot tub all overlooking Loch Tay. We also offer Capercaillie Room which is on the ground floor and has many uses from a yoga studio, disco room with karaoke to play room for children.

Choose from our array of approved chefs which we put you in touch with to discuss either full or part catering for your stay. Some will also create magnificent wedding cakes if you wish.

Location

Loch Tay is a magnificent dark stretch of water, 15 miles (24 km) long and around 508 ft deep.

It’s the largest loch in Perthshire and one of the deepest in Scotland. To the north, the loch is flanked by the impressive bulk of the Ben Lawers Mountain range where you can enjoy magnificent walks with spectacular views. The main A827 road runs high above the loch, west of Kenmore. The contours are gentler on the southern shore and Sustrans Cycle Route Number 7 runs along a quiet unclassified road.

Loch Tay is popular with sailing and water-sports enthusiasts and a spot of swimming in the Loch can be enjoyed by walking from the House straight down to the Loch and Beach.
