Nestled in the heart of Snowdonia, North Wales, Talhenbont Hall Estate is an exclusive wedding venue. Built in 1607 and set within 100 acres of private, ancient woodland and gardens this is a truly enchanting backdrop for your big day. From the moment you come through the historic iron gates and drive down the driveway you will really feel the exclusivity of this venue. Talhenbont Hall offers a completely private, exclusive, and beautiful country estate.

Facilities and Capacity

With a terrace area outside the Hall, it is the perfect place to celebrate come rain or shine. You can enjoy canapes and drinks, and snap those all-important photographs, before heading indoors for your wedding breakfast. The Coach House can accommodate up to 150 guests for the wedding breakfast. It is a beautifully renovated Coach House which oozes character and history. The rear of the Coach House features an outdoor terrace with magical views and a firepit which is fabulous for the evening. For weddings larger than 150 guests, there is plenty of space within the stunning grounds to erect a marquee. The front lawn in front of the house provides the perfect setting for this. For a simply stunning outdoor ceremony, our pagoda overlooks the River Dwyfach. It's a simply breathtaking place to exchange your vows.

The Estate and Hall is a family-run business offering a personal and bespoke service, which is tailored to meet your specific needs. Talhenbont Hall is proud to work exclusively with Cheeky Chilli Events, the award-winning catering, and events company. Their experienced team will use their expert knowledge of the industry and local suppliers to advise and guide you. With a wide range of menus incorporating everything from fine dining to funky street food, you’re guaranteed to impress your guests with a memorable feast.

Accommodation

Talhenbont Hall Estate can accommodate up to 42 people for overnight stays. There are six properties on the estate, all of which are available for exclusive use. The Hall has five bedrooms including the magnificent wedding suite and can sleep 10 people. The Gardeners sleeps six, The Woodbury eight, The Bothy four, The Conifers four, and The Lodge 10. This 17th-century Elizabethan manor house with stunning grounds is an ideal setting to celebrate your special day.

If Perfection was a venue it would be Talhenbont Hall

We got married here on 13th April 2022 and to say it was absolute perfection was an understatement.

Venue: We had the whole estate for 3 days (3pm Tuesday - 3pm Thursday), including all the cottages on site for our guests (4 cottages; including the house the venue sleeps 42) - all included in the venue cost. The estate is simply beautiful, with ducks and Snowy the peacock, many bridges, a lovely river, lush greenery - the option to marry outdoors under an arch (weather dependant) or indoors in the new Coach House. We were advised by Alicia to wed in the Coach House due to bad weather the day before, and it in no way compromised anything. The rooms were/are all beautiful, with many bathrooms - everything was so clean and fresh. The night before the wedding we all had a chippy tea from a local shop (Allports) recommended by Alicia which was fantastic, but there's an option to cook with the Aga oven (ovens in cottages too). All cottages and thw main house have all amenities; we wanted for nothing. Alicia even provided us with a breakfast hamper!

Staff: juat flawless. So incredibly helpful and took care of everything. The service was second to none, really friendly, they all felt like old friends. Bethan sorted everything on the wedding day, making sure everyone was where they were meant to be when they were meant to be, and took care of all the suppliers when they arrived - the day went without a hitch. Cheeky Chillis food was amazing and their staff incredible, accommodated a special diet for my dad too who has kidney failure. The turnovers of the rooms from Ceremony, to wedding breakfast, to dance floor were swift, no one had to worry about a thing. They made us all feel so special, even taking guests back to their rooms after the reception.

The day after the wedding checkout wasn't until 3pm which gave us enough time to pack up and enjoy the venue and grounds with out loved ones before starting our new married life. We all had tea on the new terrace overlooking the river as a new family and spoke so lovingly about everything. It was truly perfect.

I couldnt recommend Talhenbont enough. It felt like i was in a Jane Austin novel, I wasn't stressed at all - the staff enabled me to just live and enjoy our special day. I'll cherish the memories for a lifetime.
