The Arches is a charming industrial wedding venue located in Halifax, in England's West Yorkshire region. This Victorian property, originally known as Dean Clough Mills, was once the largest carpet manufacturer in the world. It was then lovingly restored by the Hall family and established as an event space in 2014.
Facilities and Capacity
This striking setting is licensed to hold civil ceremonies, so you can spend your entire day in one convenient space. Inside the Arches, couples and their guests can be charmed by vaulted red-brick ceilings and Yorkshire stone floors. Exposed beams cross the ceiling for an added touch of historic charm. It offers a versatile backdrop for a variety of colour schemes and decor styles. This venue has a versatile setup and can comfortably accommodate events with up to 300 guests. More intimate gatherings with as few as 60 people are also welcomed. A special area can be set up with games for younger guests.

Couples can work with the exceptional in-house Executive Chef and team, who can create exactly the right food and drink options to suit your vision. Everything we wanted and sooo much more!! ***HIGHLY RECOMMED*
I myself found 'The Arches' via 'Hitched' and from the very beginning the staff were amazing!
On trying to find our wedding venue, The Arches speaks for its self and that is why we booked it on our first visit.
Booking just three months prior to the date, it was a little out of the ordinary and with such a small amount of time the staff were so supportive and super organised.
The Arches is so beautiful, it was exactly what we wanted, everything under one roof, stunning industrial look, feel and amazing architecture.
On our wedding day the staff were exceptional, the food was outstanding (we will defiantly be booking in at the True North restaurant to re live our menu!), everything was so relaxed and ran so smoothly.
My myself, my husband and our guests were made to feel so welcome and never had an empty glass!
Sam (a member of staff) was fantastic!!! He brought my vision of a old school 'Hed Kandi' party to life! Along with our saxophone and bongo drums players it was a night to defiantly remember!
Highly recommend the campervan photo booth, so much fun and the photo guestbook is hilarious to look through of all our guests having such a good time.
I cannot recommend The Arches for your wedding or special event, you will not be disappointed.

The best day of our lives
The best day of our lives! We both wanted a laid back and relaxed wedding experience where everything was taken care of, this was exactly what we got with The Arches. Sam, Kat and Jack were on hand every step of the way to answer and questions and to help us create the wedding of our dreams. Jack was running the show for our day and everything went perfectly, a true professional. The venue is so unique and beautiful - we opted for minimal decor as the room just speaks for itself, this is the beauty of The Arches. The food, drink and service were absolutely incredible, all of our guests have commented on this.
We felt completely taken care of throughout the whole experience, nothing was too much, we even created our own starter to fit with what we wanted.
If you are looking for an industrial vibe with fantastic food and staff then The Arches is for you, you certainly won’t regret it.

Flawless. Perfect. Amazing.
Could not fault the Arches in any way. Our wedding was the very best day in every single way. Kat, Sam and the whole team go way beyond anything we could have expected. Such a stress free enjoyable experience.

We very recently got married at The Arches. After seeing a few different venues, we adored the industrial, laid back vibe The Arches offered and the responsiveness/helpfulness of the team was the deciding factor vs other venues.
The venue is so unique, minimal additional decoration is needed but looked amazing with our bright/colourful touches. The team had pages and pages of instructions from me and decorated/turned around the venue, with no input from ourselves - it was effortless and allowed us to really focus on preparing for our special day.
All of our friends and family were stunned by the venue and food. All of them said it was refreshing to go to a different type of venue they have never been to before vs a church or a barn!! So many of them said they could see why we chose The Arches and how 'us' it was, and that is a reflection of the team really encouraging you to pur your personal touch on it. Yorkshire has been our home for many years and it felt so special to have a venue (and multiple vendors) that reflected this.
The food was fantastic. We had visited True North prior to booking, and for our menu tasting, but were still blown away on the day. The quality and portion sizes were like nothing we have had at any wedding before - which many of our guest echoed! (The onion bhaji canape and sticky toffee pudding were particular incredible).
All of the team really looked after us and cared for us so extremely well. Kat, Jamie, Sam and Jack are a credit to The Arches, and just made us feel so at ease. We truly cannot thank the whole team enough!

Wow! what an absolutely stunning venue, it was the first one we looked at and nothing compared after.
Our Singer that we booked cancelled with a few hours to spare which was so disappointing but the team did not allow this to spoil the day.
The team at The Arches go above and beyond to make sure your day is perfect.
The food, service and everything was amazing so much so that I want to relive it all again.

The day couldn't have been more perfect!
We got married at the Arches on Saturday (16.07.22) and it could have not been more perfect. We booked back in 2020 so had lots of time to plan - The Arches team kept us up to date with the ever-changing Covid landscape and then when it got closer to the date, Naomi was just amazing at going through every detail with us, without it ever becoming overwhelming. The team helped with every aspect, from deciding what food to choose, to calming my nerves about impending 40 degree weather, to catering for a multitude of dietary reqs!
The venue itself is stunning and as a DIY bride, I really appreciated not having to need to add a lot to the venue in terms of decor / styling to have a big impact - and even then, Naomi helped on the morning to ensure everything was just right.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Arches as a wedding venue - we've had so many compliments from friends & family about the venue and surroundings - and the food, one guest said that they'd remember the Sticky Toffee Pudding for the rest of their lives, and another was quick to note how well V/Vgs were catered for - which they'd not had at other venues. Special shout out for Naomi who had an early start helping us set-up, re-arranging timings on the day when we fell behind and just generally being amazing! We had the perfect day, thank you.

The most magical day a bride can ask for
If you wanted an amazing day look no further than the Arches for your wedding venue. The best service from the moment we went to view the venue to the day of the wedding. It was perfect, the staff were amazing, the management amazing, the support, food, drinks all just perfect which is what you want for your special day. Nothing was too much trouble and every time I contacted Jamie (which was a lot) he reassured me and made sure he responded quickly which is what a bride needs. You made our day perfect just like a fairytale and made sure that it was the most magical day to remember. The venue itself was like a dream which anyone who looks at the photos can tell. I am so glad that we chose the Arches for our special day because you made our special day even better than I could ever imagined

Thank you so much to everyone at The Arches for making our wedding day so special. The venue is stunning, all the staff on the day were so friendly and provided great service. All the backroom team who helped with the preparations and planning were so helpful and made things go so smoothly for us, we would recommend The Arches 100%.

Fantastic venue, incredible food and the most attentive staff
Choosing The Arches in Halifax as our wedding venue was easily one of the best decisions we made for our special day. The venue itself is simply fantastic. Its arched ceilings and expansive windows create a stunning ambiance, providing a picturesque backdrop for our reception.
One of the highlights of our experience at The Arches was the incredible food. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the culinary delights served at our wedding, and neither could we.
Moreover, the staff at The Arches were the epitome of professionalism and attentiveness. From our initial inquiries to the big day itself, the staff went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was taken care of. They were responsive, accommodating, and genuinely invested in making our wedding day special.

First class experience and amazing customer service
We had the perfect wedding reception with the Arches after getting married at the nearby church. Jamie and the team were incredibly accommodating and communicative, and worked with us to arrange our ideal event, taking care of all the suppliers and set up and sorting extra touches that made the whole thing so stress free. The food (we opted for buffet 'feast tables') was amazing and they also put on a small kids food station as we had lots of under 10s in attendance - a bit hit with the parents. They even arranged the karaoke we wanted with their in-house DJ! The venue is stunning, with a fairy light ceiling, and the space works with or without additional decoration (we opted for some set pieces like large glow-up letters and a sparkly stage backdrop from an external supplier, but mainly let the room speak for itself). We received so many compliments on the service, the food, the venue aesthetic, the entertainment. Also, the parking is extensive and free. We thought it was incredibly well priced for what we received. Highly recommend.

Personal and Excellent
Our experience with the team at the Arches was phenomenal from start to finish.
After initially securing a 2023 wedding date at The Arches, we made a last minute decision m to push our date forward due to family circumstance and married on 12/08/2022. We were taken aback and truly appreciate Naomi and Jamie’s flexibility in helping to make this happen which meant that special family members were here to watch us marry.
Throughout consultations, Naomi provided us with options from table plans, to menus, to vendor recommendations. Dietary requirements and alcohol preferences were all accommodated and the venue enabled us to bespoke a children’s menu. As we don’t live local to the venue, we appreciated Naomi’s prompt and detailed email responses.
As a DIY couple, we were able to attend the venue the evening before the wedding (with a cohort of helpers) to dress it - meaning we didn’t haven’t to stress on the morning of our wedding. All of our equipment and belongings were also safely stored the night of the wedding which we were able to collect the next day. Meaning we could go home straight after a night of partying!
Naomi also took the stress off our shoulders by liaising directly with our vendors, so we had nothing to worry about on the day.
Thank you so much to Naomi, Jamie and the team for making our wedding so special.
