Tucked away in the rolling hills of the Cotswolds, The Barn at Upcote is an enchanting set of Cotswold stone barns you can tailor for your perfect wedding day.
The Essentials
- The Barn is your exclusive use, blank canvas venue secluded in the Cotswold hills. With plenty of photo opportunities including our Secret Garden, your photographer will be spoilt for choice!
- Five caterers for you to choose from for your wedding breakfast, with the option of an external professional caterer for your evening food.
- You don't need to pay corkage for drinks you supply for your drinks reception / wedding breakfast / toast, and for later on we have our onsite bar run by the venue team with a wide variety of options!
- Your experienced, friendly, and professional team of co-ordinators here to help from booking, through to the morning after! From setting up of decorations to clearing down at the end of the night, we are on hand to create your perfect day.
The Extra Detail
Our lovingly restored barns, surrounded by picturesque countryside, provide a timeless backdrop for your celebration. Whether you dream of a rustic-chic affair or a classic country wedding, our versatile venue can bring your vision to life. Say "I do" in our serene courtyard, dine under the beams of our historic barns, and dance the night away under the stars.
As a licensed venue you can have your ceremony onsite where we can comfortably accommodate up to 100 people during the day for both this and your wedding breakfast. We can then host up to 140 guests in the evening to keep the party going to the end of the night!
The Barn at Upcote is an exclusive use venue with our wedding coordinators here for you right from the begining of your journey, to saying goodbye as newlyweds the following day after staying in the Honeymoon Suite.
For your guests, the venue has plenty of parking available, is wheelchair accessible, and has overnight glamping accommodation options.

Incredible wedding venue!
We couldn’t have asked for a better venue than The Barn at Upcote for our wedding! From the moment we started planning, the team were incredibly helpful and attentive, making sure every detail was taken care of. They truly went above and beyond to ensure our day ran smoothly, and their support was so appreciated. The location is absolutely stunning, with the beautiful countryside providing the perfect backdrop for our special day. All our guests had a wonderful time, and we received so many compliments on the venue. We highly recommend The Barn at Upcote to anyone looking for the perfect wedding venue!

The Most Perfect Venue + Team
The Barn at Upcote was the first and only venue me and my partner viewed for our wedding and we absolutely hit the jackpot.
The venue is absolutely stunning - intimate, rural + a gorgeous blank canvas that we didn’t need much decor. It rained on my wedding day and even in the rain, the venue just shone!
The team are so friendly, warm and accommodating. Nothing was ever too much trouble and they were absolutely perfect at responding and adjusting to our needs throughout the process.
I want to attend a future wedding at the Barn at Upcote as my guests said it was so great. They have a good list of recommended suppliers too who were all wonderful.
Even though it’s fairly close to Cheltenham, you really feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere. I DIYed my wedding but the team reassured me and delivered on the promise that everything would be set up with no hassle.
I couldn’t recommend them more!

The Perfect Venue!
We had our wedding here at the start of June and we can happily say it was the best day of our lives. From the moment we turned up to view the venue for the first time, Sophie and the rest of the team were fantastic with us and made the wedding planning process so much less stressful than it otherwise would have been. Their overall communication in the lead-up to the big day was also brilliant. The venue is an amazing place to host a wedding, and we couldn't be happier with our decision to marry at the Barn at Upcote. All our guests came away saying what a great day they had, and we will look back fondly on this day and the build-up to our wedding for the rest of our lives.

Dream come true

A perfect day and venue!
We had the most incredible experience from start to end with the Barn at Upcote! We looked at a variety of venues in the area for an outdoor ceremony, and as soon as we saw photos of this idyllic location we knew it was the place for us. As well as the incredible setting, what really sold us was the exceptional staff - from when we first got in touch they were amazingly kind and friendly, and made it clear that they'd be happy to shape the day into whatever we wanted it to be. Both the attitude of the staff and the layout of the venue allowed us to plan a really fun and unique wedding with lots of different areas for different activities. We have never been so happy as when we showed up at our wedding and it had been transformed into exactly what we'd pictured, and then to see our guests start enjoying themselves there.
We had planned out quite a particular day, but on the day we did not have to lift a finger! The venue staff absolutely understood everything that we wanted, and executed it perfectly, from how everything looked to the timings for everything. It was incredible to be able to communicate what we wanted and then not have to worry at all about it getting done because of the exceptionally kind and competent staff. All we can say now is thank you so much to this venue for giving us the best day of our lives. And they even managed to swing us perfect weather, too! Please do choose this venue for your special day, you will be so happy you did.

Absolutely Amazing!
We cannot possible recommend The Barn at Upcote any more if we tried!
From the first meeting they were amazing. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, but the team are what truly makes it. They are just wonderful, so professional but lovely, friendly and informative and always on hand to support with ideas and recommendations. I must have asked 100 questions in the build up, and was met every time with a quick response!
They go above and beyond in every possible way to make the day run smoothly, they acted as a real backbone to me and my husband both in the build up and on the day, and as a result, the day went perfectly. Even when things that happened (out of their control) like insane rainfall- they acted fast and smart. Between themselves and the caterers, they saw every single guest out of the ceremony in twos under umbrellas!
Nothing was too big of an ask or a trouble, and they did everything they could to make the day amazing. They have got both the set up and close down operation down to a tee, so everything runs smoothly. They are true professionals and you are in good hands.
We had a biggish wedding party, 106 day guests and it felt so lovely and intimate but not crowded in the barn. And everything is right where you need it, so it never feels like everyone is too spread out!
The surroundings are breath taking too, never mind the secret garden!
If you make the decision to book the Barn - you won't regret it.

Words can not describe how perfect this venue is. We first viewed the barn back in November 2019 and fell in love with it the moment we saw it even in the pouring rain.
We had our big day a few weeks back and I could not picture getting married anywhere else.
The staff are so welcoming and made us feel at ease every step of the way! (even when my husband's suit split they were on hand with a sewing kit for us)

The perfect venue
We had the most perfect day here and wish we could do it all over again! The venue is beautiful and the staff are amazing, so professional and couldn’t do enough for us.
Lovely addition of a bridal suite, meaning you can stay on site the night of your wedding.
Really responsive to messages leading up to the day which meant my wedding anxiety was kept at bay!

Best Day Ever
We had our wedding at the Barn at Upcote 2 Weeks ago.
It was the best day ever and that is all down to the venue and their team. The staff couldn’t do enough for you from when we booked to when we left the following day. The venue itself is beautiful and despite not having the warmest day it didn’t make any impact. The caterers (Epic) were superb and knew the venue inside and out.
Thank you Upcote for making my wedding day an event we will never forget. If you are looking for a wedding venue don’t look any further than the Barm at Upcote.
