The Buttery and Glasshouse is a spectacular space blending old and new, discreetly tucked behind the 14th century coaching inn. It is a postcard perfect, one-stop destination venue offering couples all they need and a hidden surprise for expectant guests.
It is a venue like no other, this is not your average Kentish barn. Designed with spatial flow in mind, the wedding day moves seamlessly between spaces. The Buttery works in perfect harmony with The Glasshouse and the final result is an awe-inspiring, contemporary and innovative backdrop to provide a lasting impact on guests’ memories of the wedding.

All-Inclusive Indulgent Package - Our 'all singing, all dancing' fully inclusive packages provide a platform for couples to achieve the wedding day of their dreams.
Build Your Own’ Bespoke Package - Our exciting new style of wedding package offers our couples more of a creative lead. Our “build your own” style caters to all budgets and allows couples to select only the elements of the package that they actually want.

An all-inclusive package can make a very daunting venue search feel a little less overwhelming and can take a lot of the planning pressure away from a time restricted couple. Our all singing all dancing Indulgent Wedding packages, take an all encompassing bells and whistles approach to guarantee a wow factor wedding.
Designed for 30, 50 and 100 guests we provide a gold standard framework for the wedding day of your dreams, including the things you never even thought of. With effortless planning, your Indulgent Wedding will set a tone of quiet luxury.

We want to provide the opportunity for our couples to take their own creative lead in customising their wedding day, their way, giving them the financial control to maximise their own budget.
A bespoke package that can be crafted and moulded to a couple’s specific vision is the perfect alternative to a ‘one size fits all’ approach. A flexible package that can truly reflect the essence of a couple and their relationship.

Your own 14th century country inn
The Bull Hotel is the home of The Buttery & Glasshouse.
With a view to offer a spectacular weather-proof space, the whole courtyard was renovated in 2022 to create an innovative and unique wedding venue. On one side, the historic barn-style Buttery offers the most intimate ceremony space, full of character and six centuries of history, gorgeous light, beamed ceilings and ancient stone walls. Opposite to The Buttery, the newly built, ultra-contemporary Glasshouse with wrap-around glass doors that open up onto the alfresco terrace and a spectacular retractable domed roof - a space flooded with natural light.
With a plethora of options of spaces, weddings flow seamlessly from one area to the next. Couples feel the stress taken out of the planning process by dedicated wedding coordinators who prepare bespoken quotes and carefully organise the timeline for the wedding.

Excellent venue and amazing service
From the first time we dropped in for a drink to take a look at The Bull Hotel, to our initial meeting, to the wonderful wedding open day visit with family, to our actual wedding, the staff and service has been fantastic.
We didn’t want a DJ or sit down 3 course meal including wine. Nothing was too much trouble. We used their wedding packages as a guide, discussed everything at our initial meeting and they gave us a bespoke price for exactly the elements we wanted.
We were blessed with great weather for October. Our civil ceremony was at 4.30pm in the Buttery, with cocktails and canapés on the terrace and a delicious smokehouse buffet in the glasshouse, followed by cakes and a sweetie table.
For entertainment we decided to have a caricaturist The Artful Doodler and magic and mind reading by Robert Fox.
Despite being a Wednesday family and friends decided to book all the rooms and we gathered together for a delicious breakfast the next morning.
The Glasshouse and Buttery is a fabulous all year round wedding venue that is light and airy and gets a 10 out of 10 for service, location, comfort and the best cosmopolitan cocktails 🍸

Perfect venue with a amazing wedding coordinator
The food we choose was Texan smokehouse as we didn’t want the fuss of asking guests what they wanted to eat on a traditional type menu, everyone enjoyed the food and commented on how lovely it was and how we had found the perfect venue. The hotel rooms are all very welcoming and modern.
The staff can’t help enough and the wedding planner was on hand all day making every step go by without a glitch even though our guests were somewhat confused about wedding etiquette and order they still got everything to run smoothly, they came over to check how everything was going and if I needed anything, helped me with my dress, just went above and beyond for us.
The Perfect Day at the Bull
The food was exceptional - everything was absolutely delicious. But what makes the Bull such a very special venue that will always remain dear to our hearts is the team. Leigh Anne is quite simply a joy to have as your wedding coordinator. She is one of the loveliest people I have ever met and she and the team will do everything in their power to help create the day you want. We cannot fault our experience with the Bull and we wish them every success for the future as they thoroughly deserve every accolade and award they win!

The rooms are spacious impeccably clean and very comfortable.
My grandmother is in a wheelchair and they made sure throughout the day that she was able to take part in everything and were there with the ramps whenever needed.
I would 110% recommend this as the perfect location for a beautiful and memorable wedding. They also do a mean Sunday roast as well.
Thank you Dionne, Leigh Anne, Sacha and Martin and all the rest of the staff who made our special day just perfect in every way.

‘WATTS’ a Wonderful Wedding Venue!
Prior to booking our wedding, we knew of The Bulls excellent food menu, however, what was provided on the day well and truly surpassed our expectations, catering exceptionally for both Vegan and Meat options.
The hotel rooms were perfect for our preparations and guests all enjoyed the convenience of staying on site. The ceremony and reception venue allow for a truly intimate wedding experience - Everything was seamless from start to finish.
We honestly couldn’t have wished for anything more, and would recommend The Bull to anyone booking their special day.

Wonderful wedding venue
Beautiful venue for intimate, low-key weddings!
We were blown away by the whole day - especially by the food which was incredible!! We also got to have most of our family and friends stay over in the hotel rooms and join us for breakfast the next morning.
I would highly recommend The Bull for any couples looking for a small, low-key, fun wedding - we absolutely loved ours.
A massive thank you to Emma, Leigh-Anne and Sangita and everyone else at The Bull!
