Wonderful wedding experience at the Dukes Head Putney

We recently celebrated our wedding at The Duke’s Head in Putney and couldn't be happier. The venue’s historic charm and riverside location provided a perfect backdrop, but it was Rhys and Rebecca's exceptional service that made our day unforgettable. From the start, Rhys understood our vision and offered inspired ideas, particularly for the table arrangements, creating an intimate and memorable dinner. He and Rebecca went above and beyond on the day, ensuring every detail was perfect and that everything ran smoothly.

The food and wine were spectacular, with each dish beautifully presented and delicious. Our guests are still raving about the meal and also the evening food that was provided. The riverside setting offered incredible photo opportunities with the Thames and central London skyline, resulting in stunning photos. We wholeheartedly recommend The Duke’s Head for any special event. Rhys, Rebecca, and the team made our day everything we dreamed of. Thank you for an incredible wedding!

Post wedding reception

We had a post wedding reception dinner in the Connaught room for 45 people which Sofia had helped us organise. We were able to choose our menu and pre order so that the food would be ready for our arrival. The setting was relaxed and we had an informal table plan which can't have been easy for the staff but everything was done without a fuss, we ate really well and we were met with smiles all the way through. Thanks to Sofia and the staff. The evening couldn't have gone any better. We were able to wander about freely in the room and by the river and it was a fantastic way to celebrate with our families. Thanks very much to the Duke's Head for all your care. I would recommend this place to anyone for functions of a similar kind.

Huge thank you

Lesley and I would like to say a huge thank you to you and your team for all the hard work you put into making our wedding on Saturday such a great success. The room looked amazing, the food was great and many of the guests made a point of mentioning how friendly and courteous they thought the staff were. Please pass on our thanks to Jake and Harriet.

I was very nervous before the event but in all our meetings you reassured me, quietly and calmly,"It will be fine" and you were absolutely right. We are very grateful and we would definitely recommend the Coxswain room to anyone thinking of planning a wedding reception.

Second to none

Our son and his new wife got married here. The service was second to none and nothing was too much trouble. The ceremony was held on the top floor, the reception on the next floor down - all overlooking the river, and the evening party was held in The Boathouse at ground level, opening out onto the small terrace. All very convenient! The food was excellent - you need to try their wild boar sausages.
The next day all the trappings from the party were ready for us to collect. Jake and the rest of the staff deserve a medal - they were on duty all day on Saturday and Jake was there early on Sunday morning clearing up from the night before, with a smile in his face
If you are looking for a relaxed wedding in convivial surroundings look at The Duke's Head - you won't regret it !

Attentive, professional and friendly

We had a lovely 3 course lunch upstairs in the beautiful Woolsey Room at the Dukes Head to celebrate our Wedding. The room was the perfect size for our 30 guests and the food was delicious. Sofia helped us diligently before the event and the bar staff and servers on the day were excellent; attentive, professional and friendly, willing to accommodate all requests.
Would recommend a large party here, but equally we will be back for a quiet pint and bite to eat!
