We got married on the 6th January 2024 at the Mayfair Library and hired a Routemaster to take us, and 76 guests, to the Elgin for the reception. It was exactly what we were hoping for and more! The staff were incredibly helpful since our first enquiry, and we planned the entire wedding in less than 3 months!

The pub itself has a cool, laid back ambiance to it, with great interior so doesn't need too much additional decoration. The additional probs we did bring along were all set up beautifully and brought our vision to life.

The food was outstanding and they managed to cater for a number of different dietary requirements. All of our guests commented on how impressed they were with the food - and will be going back!

The team were extremely attentive and helpful from day one. On the day they helped keep track of timings to make sure we didn't overrun before evening guests arrived. They also took care of the take-town and prepared everything to be collected the following day.

Highly recommend if your after a fun, relaxed reception with great food and perfect space to have a good time!

The team at the Elgin were fantastic from start to finish for our wedding. We hired the entire venue and chose a late finish.

Rob and Cara were brilliant at answering all my many varied questions and chasing me up when I needed it! We found the handover phone call with Cara to be particularly helpful as she has great advice on how to get the most from the time and make it a truly memorable experience for our guests as well as ourselves.

On the day itself, the place looked brilliant and there wasn't a thing out of place. I had several guests approach me just to tell me that the vibe and ambiance was wonderful and the food was the best they had ever eaten at a wedding (as we knew it would be!). A few of our local friends have said they will be back to enjoy a pint and a meal another time.

All of the staff were great too - everyone said how friendly they were and they all did a fab job at keeping the place clean and tidy. Tom and Sonny were super helpful throughout the whole process which took a lot of stress out of it. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Elgin.

The pub itself has so much charm you really don't need to have many decorations, and it's a great size that makes it feel full and buzzing all day.

Our day couldn’t have gone any better. We had so many compliments from our guests as to the venue and the food. A really well presented room with everything we needed for the day, and a bar offering a great variety of drinks. We really couldn’t have been happier with our choice!

Tom and the team were fantastic on the day and with all the prep leading up to the day. Nice and relaxed organisation, everything ran very smoothly.

It took me almost a year to find a wedding reception venue that matched our theme and that we truly liked. It was extremely difficult, especially since we were on a budget and venues here in London are so expensive. Surprisingly, a few months before our wedding, I found one—The Elgin. At first, I thought it was a scam because it seemed too good to be true. First of all, they were very quick to respond, and secondly, they had great offers. Well, since we really liked the place, we took the risk. And in the end, we had no regrets. From the moment I started emailing them until everything was done, their team was incredibly organized. A special thanks to Caroline because she made me feel secure; she gave me assurance and properly referred me to the appropriate team members who would handle things. I was also touched by the service they provided us, especially since our wedding was DIY, so we did everything ourselves—from the decorations to other planning aspects. But they were a huge help in decorating the venue on our behalf. I didn’t feel stressed at all in this regard, and I’m so grateful. I hadn’t even given specific instructions on how I wanted the decorations, but they pulled off exactly what I had imagined. I was nervous at first, but when we delivered the decorations and Robert said, "We’ll take care of it," I immediately felt at ease. They were very organized, and they even gave me a planner that was linked to them, and from there, they based everything on what we wanted and had planned.

We had our wedding at the Elgin in May and we couldn't recommend them more. The day was amazing and they ensured everything ran smoothly. Everyone raved about the food and the cocktail tanks. The service was excellent and all the staff were so friendly and welcoming. We're so happy we chose the Elgin for our wedding!

WOW - what an amazing experience start to finish! The service and responsiveness from the team before was SO helpful for someone who has no idea about party/wedding planning. We had useful google docs to help with budget and answered all my silly questions!
And the day itself was magical, the team at the Elgin couldn't of been more helpful and fun; we had a rowdy crowd and they took that in their stride.
I cannot recommend this venue enough for a wedding reception.
The FOOD btw, not biased, we had loads of comments of how utterly incredible it was for wedding food. The portions, quality, taste etc were impeccable.

The location of the pub is also perfection, a 2 second walk from Maida Vale station, and if you are doing your ceremony at Marylebone, its a 7 mins taxi!

We wanted a fun and relaxed reception with good food and a private area. The Elgin ticked all of those boxes, and delivered us and our guests a fantastic experience. The staff were super responsive both before and during the event, accommodating of dietary requirements and co-ordinated well with other vendors. We could not recommend them any more highly.

From our initial enquiry to the moment we left on our wedding day, the service was outstanding. Cara guided us seamlessly through the planning process, and Sonny, along with the rest of the staff, ensured everything ran smoothly on the 15th. Our guests are still raving about the food and the spiced rum punch. We had an amazing wedding at The Elgin in October. From our first email with Cara it was clear that everything would be handled so expertly, with the planner making everything very clear. Communication was excellent and turning up on the day to have everything done, with such brilliant and thoughtful decoration, was wonderful. The team helped the day go by go smoothly - and had the patience of saints during the flurry of espresso martini orders! Couldn’t have asked for anything to be better. The best day!

We held our wedding reception here in October and had the most amazing time. From the initial enquiry to after the event, I cannot explain just how incredible the entire Elgin/ULG team were in making our wedding even more special than we ever thought it could be.

When enquiring/planning the ULG team of Caroline, Robert and Cara were brilliant in answering all my many questions, so responsive and accommodating for whatever requests I made. We visited the pub a few times before the day and every time someone on site was there to help with questions. The online planner for inputting all the information is so easy and a great way to keep track of what you’re ordering/spending.

The onsite team led by Sonny are absolutely incredible. One of things which sold the Elgin to us was the fact we could drop the decorations in advance, the team handled all the set up (brilliantly as well!) and then stored them for us for a week after until we could collect. This is something not many venues offer (usually only the days either side of the wedding) and made such a huge difference to us and took such a worry off my mind in the days leading up to the wedding. But not only that the team took such care in setting everything up in line with my plans making sure things like place settings and memory displays for lost relatives were perfect.

On the day the team were even more fantastic, ensuring guests were well taken care of with plenty of food and drink and even dealing with last minute requests such as change in dietary requirements.

The venue itself is brilliant, set across two floors and barely needs any decorations. The food is fantastic – we had canapes, two course sharing meal and then evening food. All of our guests raved about how good everything was, and portions are very generous!

I would completely recommend the Elgin for a celebration venue!

Cannot recommend the Elgin enough. Caroline and Cara in the planning stages were beyond helpful, really appreciated the level of flexibility when it came to timings and always available to answer any questions.

The venue team are also amazing, everyone is so nice and accommodating, special mention goes out to JJ. The food was incredible, lunch and evening, we've had messages from our evening guests just to mention how good the food was!

A highlight for many of our guests was the incredible food, especially the family-style feasting boards! They were beautifully presented and really brought a sense of community to the meal as everyone shared and enjoyed together. It was the perfect way to celebrate with our loved ones.
