We would very happily fully recommend the Engine Shed as a Wedding venue or for any other party you’d like to have!

From venue searching to aftercare, we have had a thoroughly positive experience celebrating our wedding here. Venue searching was the worst part of wedding planning for us as often venues make costs hard to see and a bit convoluted. However, with the Engine Shed we loved that everything was up front and easy to find through the website without needing to even email. Helping to save emails and time from the start. When we did go and visit for the first time, Lee (who worked with us throughout) was so relaxed and friendly and made everything feel really simple and easy. This ‘vibe’ continued throughout the whole process to the day itself where everything ran so smoothly and well - we had so many comments from guests about how well the staff/Lee ran everything! Nothing seemed too difficult to manage for Lee and the Engine Shed staff. Most of the vendors we used were recommended by the Engine Shed or we found them at one of their wedding fairs - all of whom were great and we would also recommend. It all made for a stress free planning process.

We loved the venue itself from the moment we walked in on our first visit - the space was so fun and different and just felt perfect for us. The venue stylist (Treasured Occasions) who came as part of the wedding package we went for, then made the venue look just beautiful for our day - they were really flexible and could easily work with our colour scheme and ‘look’ to make it all feel just right on our day. We absolutely loved how it all came together and again got so many comments from guests about how great the venue looked and worked for the whole day.

As part of our package, our wedding breakfast was a Carvery, which was perfect for us. It was also absolutely delicious and again we had lots of great feedback from guests about the food. There was also a fun twist, where we secretly chose a carver for each table who were ’surprised’ on the day - creating some fun and excitement around the meal. We then had ‘hot sandwiches’ for the evening food (e.g. sausage, bacon, fish along with chips) - and when we asked if we could source ‘square sausage’ for this (a scottish delicacy) instead of regular sausages, Lee immediately swapped this in and took on sourcing it for us, which was amazing! They could cater for all dietary needs regardless of the reason, which was great as we did have a large number of guests with different needs. We also really liked that we could go for a drinks token system rather than wine for the tables - to help more easily cater for those avoiding alcohol and those not so keen on wine.

Long story short - we had the absolutely best Wedding day at the Engine Shed and we can’t recommend them highly enough! It was so easy to see why they are award winning.

I don’t even know where to begin with explaining how amazing this place is!
We were scrolling through Hitched one day and saw that the Engine Shed was having a wedding fayre we decided to pop down as we knew we needed to start wedding planning and we immediately fell in love. The venue was so different quirky and just looked so beautiful all dressed up. We knew that a wedding would be expensive but the package we booked was such a brilliant price with so much flexibility for us to switch things around

Lee is such an asset to this place, he is kind, funny and willing to go above and beyond to make the day special
He sorted everything, making our wedding day completely stress free!
Every single one of our guests complimented the space, the staff and mostly the food! The chef absolutely out did himself with an amazing Sunday roast (we are still dreaming about that beef!)
I could not ask for a better wedding day and so much of that is down to the hard work of the entire team at the Engine Shed

There are not enough superlatives to describe The Engine Shed. It is the best wedding venue!! Lee is the most incredible wedding planner (and was defo why we chose the venue in the first place). He put us at ease and helped our day run perfectly! The chef is incredible. The food is delicious and the portion sizes are incredible for the price!

We had our dream wedding at the engine shed on 21/09/24; the day was so brilliant it far exceeded our expectations. What can I say? Lee is amazing; he worked so hard to make our day special; there were so many unexpected extra touches that he made throughout the day. I loved how he managed to get the timing for our songs spot on, and the comments he made after our speech were so touching. You could tell he was really trying hard to get it perfect. He makes you feel like nothing is too much trouble; we literally had last-minute guest, table plan, and music alterations, and he remained positive and helpful throughout. The staff were all polite and professional; we were showered with positive comments from our guests; we had quite a few “best wedding I’ve been to," “best party I’ve been to”, and loads of guests commenting on how amazing the venue is. There are some outstanding options for food. For our ‘wedding breakfast’ we opted for the carvery, which was brilliant. It’s unbelievable how much positive feedback we received on the food from our guests. We decided on the ‘best of British’ for our evening food, which was great. We were really surprised with the food service on the evening; we were expecting it to be self-service; however, we were pleasantly surprised that there was a full team on hand to offer out the meals to our guests. We opted for Tracey Williamson as our stylist, which was one of the options recommended by the engine shed in the package, and we opted for Paul Lockwood as our DJ. It’s hard to put into words how fantastic they were from start to finish. I could go on forever about all the reasons why, but to sum it up, we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. There were so many brilliant suggestions and ideas from Lee, Paul, Tracey, and Alan that helped make our day so memorable.

Lee and his colleagues were fantastic. They allowed us ultimate flexibility but were always on hand to advise us when we needed it.

Our day ran seamlessly and all venue staff were absolutely lovely.

A week has past since the wedding celebrations of our daughter and son-in-law at the Engine Shed,and I would like to send sincere gratitude to Lee and all the staff both front of house and those behind the scenes,the day was made so relaxing and enjoyable by the high level of professionalism show by Lee and team.Such a friendly and helpful team showing nothing was to much trouble.The guests at the celebration also praised the friendly service given throughout the day and evening.The whole event made very special and a day we shall hold very dearly.Big thank you Lee for the care and attention given to the" Little Ones ".Again FANTASTIC. Thank you so very much.We will highly recommend the venue you could not get any better than "The Engine Shed".

Our day was absolutely perfect and we enjoyed every moment. The food was delicious and the venue was great value for money.
The team are very efficient and professional. The day ran so smoothly and our glasses were always full.
