rom the moment we first stepped into the Barn at Redcoats, we were blown away by the venue and the staff. Unlike a lot of venues where you go around on private visits when the rooms are not fully set as you would see it on the big day, the Barns was fully set up (as was the accommodation) on the open evening and it had a real wow-factor. While we have seen so many pictures of how other couples have decorated the venue for their day, we felt the barn really leant itself towards the colours of our Autumn wedding (October) and the grounds were also really beautiful at that time of year. The journey of planning the wedding was easy throughout, everyone in the events team were so helpful and well organised from the moment we paid our deposit to the day after the wedding. A big shout out to Charlie Brimelow, who kept us at ease and relaxed and had absolutely everything under control. Despite being popular and having lots of weddings booked, the Barns do a great job of keeping everything running smoothly and efficiently thanks to their experience, while still allowing couples to put their own touch on their wedding day. We never felt like we were on a conveyor belt and we always felt like the team were focussed on making our day spectacular and unique.
The day itself could not have gone off any better. While you hear from other couples at other venues that something always went wrong or was forgotten, we can honestly say that the team went above and beyond to make the day wonderful and smooth. We had so many comments from guests saying how much they enjoyed the venue and that they would be returning to eat or stay in the future. The accommodation was to the highest standard, the food is always exquisite, and the staff were always outstanding! We cannot recommend the Barns enough, we will definitely be returning ourselves in the future!

We recently got married at The Barns at Redcoats. And it was all we ever dreamed it to be. We viewed a couple of venues, but they just weren't hitting the mark - as soon as we looked around The Barns we knew it was the one. Once you enter the bar area and into the main barn - it's actually breathtaking, this was the showstopper!

Charlie, Charlie and Sophie + and the rest of the team were so accommodating and patient, answering ALL of our questions!! They were really supportive throughout the entire journey and it was so helpful having them on the day. Our guests commented on how smooth everything seemed to feel (especially the meals!) and of course were so complimentary with the venue!

I'd absolutely recommend booking your wedding at this venue - you will make the most amazing memories, and the entire process will be made so much easier working with the Redcoats team!

Seriously though, these guys were a dream! From the first open day to checking in after the BIG day, we only have praise. The team are honestly fantastic, so responsive, flexible and willing to hear all your ideas and individuality. We felt celebrated as a couple, they are genuinely interested in your story and help to bring together ideas as well as provide you with some guidance if you aren't quite sure on some decisions.

The communication is clear in the lead up to the wedding day. The meetings felt like a chance to get to know the venue more and they were always keen for us to have an explore where possible. We also really enjoyed special memories like out menu tasting and being able to drop off all our wedding bits the day before!

The venue itself is, of course, beautiful. We didn't have to do much to add to the atmosphere there. The place is clean, accessible for elderly relatives and the on site accommodation was easy to organise and just perfect for those late night partiers! We have had so many compliments on the food and wine since, it really was delicious.

A special thanks to our wedding coordinator, Charlie B, you are an absolute STAR! We really cannot thank you enough for your guidance in the planning, your joy and excitement for us on the big day and your willingness to help with almost anything- even changing my veil when I was struggling! We are so grateful for ALL of the teams professionalism, friendliness and care of us and our guests.

Our Wedding & Events Co-ordinator Charlie B was fabulous throughout the planning of our wedding through to the big day. It was great to have her expertise and support and our wedding day was everything we had hoped it would be! Also we wanted to mention Jake who was super helpful on the wedding day itself dealing with some of our wedding vendors. In fact, all the staff at Redcoats are great! The Barn is such a lovely venue and the restaurant and hotel rooms also come highly recommended. All of our guests who stayed the night loved it too.

Not only is the venue stunning, warm and beautiful but the staff are all out of this world! Their attention to detail, making sure that everything ran smoothly and passion for what they do was incredible! Charlie, our wedding organiser, was truly phenomenal!

Given that my husband and I hadn’t even planned a party let alone been part of a wedding before you can say we were in the deep end. When we met the team at Redcoats after an awful experience at the venue I had dreamed of for close to ten years we were swept off of our feet.

They honestly couldn’t do enough for us and checked in regularly, we never had to ask for any extra advice or anything to be explained, the team just supplied and somehow managed to read our minds.

I will never forget the final 8 weeks (they really do fly by) and the support Charlie Brimelow supplied not only me but my husband. She alone made it all so simple and easy. She will forever hold a place in my heart and I hope she knows how much of a treasure she is to us couples.

If you are looking for a quirky, relaxed, flexible and accommodating venue then The Farmhouse at Redcoats is definitely for you! Every question we threw there way was no trouble at all, they helped guide us through the process and kept in good contact with us to ensure our day was how we envisioned it. It is a beautiful venue, even when whether is not on your side and every staff member we had working on our day were on top form, friendly and nothing was too much for them.
Their food was delicious, all our guests went home with full bellies which is what we wanted! They set up the day so we could focus on getting ready and honestly their team worked magic making everything so beautiful for us. We can't thank them enough for holding our wedding day there. 100% recommend.

Simply put, I never once felt nerves or stress in the lead up to the wedding, and putting my trust in Charli was one of the main reasons why. We had the best wedding day we could have ever dreamt of last weekend! The whole team were amazing, and the day was beyond perfect. The team worked seamlessly and super professionally, all our guests complimented the venue and team for how flawless the whole day was and the food was unbelievable (highly recommend the braised blade of beef!). We are so grateful to Megan, Charli and everyone else who was a part of our special day. I’m sure we didn’t make things easy for them (namely asking them to open and pour the Salamanzar of champagne we ordered… sorry!) but they just went above and beyond to make our day beyond perfect, thank you!

We knew as soon as we visited The Barns at Redcoats on an open day that it was the venue for us. Every part of the venue is beautifully done, from the barn itself, the outdoor area, the bar and the bedrooms. We had Charlie Brimelow as our coordinator and we loved working with her to deliver our vision! Nothing was too much trouble, and she had amazing attention to detail. It's fair to say we were blown away on the day by just how brilliantly it went. The whole team there are just incredible, everything just quietly got done! As we have had great experiences on previous occasions at Redcoats we decided to have our small family wedding there in the Victorian room. Charlie the Senior Wedding & Events Coordinator was great, very attentive and made sure our day went perfectly for us and our 12 guests. The room looked great, the food was excellent (they even added a couple of dishes that were not on the menu for us but suited a few of our guests) and all the Redcoats Team were very welcoming and helpful and they even managed to sort the weather for us so that we could enjoy the beautiful gardens! All in all we had a wonderful day and would have no hesitation in recommending the Farmhouse at Redcoats for a wedding or any special occasion.
