Made our day extra specia

Management and Staff at the Gables Hotel Gretna

We would like to express our thanks and appreciation for the high standard of treatment we received when we held our Wedding reception at the Gables Hotel on 12th December 2008.

We cannot fault any contact with staff prior to the wedding and throughout our stat. Our wedding co-ordinator was Craig, who met us at the evening prior to the wedding, discussed final plans and who was present throughout the wedding reception. We feel that the attention Craig and all the other staff gave us made our day extra special. We would like you to pass on our thanks and gratitude to the staff involved in our day. The quality of the rooms, the food and the organisation of our wedding reception, including the tables was truly exceptional.

Our family, friends and we look back on our stay in Gretna with great memories and we genuinely think this is due to the care we all received during our stay.

Wonderful

To all the staff at the Gables Hotel

We just wanted to drop you a line to thank you all so much for everything you did to make our wedding reception such a wonderful event.

To the staff on Reception, thank you very much for your help, especially the lovely chap who was so kind and helpful in advising us where to get medicine for our little boy who was poorly.

To the Wedding Co-ordinators, thank you for ensuring our day ran so smoothly, you were brilliant!

The Chefs and catering staff – the food was exquisite and cooked to perfection.

The Housekeeping staff – our guests all commented on how lovely and clean the rooms were, and we were blown away by the amazing Ailsa Suite.

Finally we would like to thank lovely Linda for her patience with 2 high-spirited fathers and father in laws. She really is an asset to you not just because she works so hard.

Our guests were so impressed with everything and so were we, we would definitely recommend you to anyone looking for a quality hotel.

Once again thank you for being the icing on the cake on the happiest day of our life.

The wedding they dreamed of

Just to say a big thank you to all your staff for giving my son and daughter in law the wedding they dreamed of. (16th August 2008)

Special mention must go to the catering staff – the food was fantastic for the whole of the weekend – the cheesecake was to die for! Also a mention to the waiting on staff who must have been rushed off their feet but never showed it. You have left us with memories of a day we will never forget.

Thank you to everyone at the Hotel for all your hard work.

Everything ran like clockwork.

We would just like to say a big thank you to you all for making our wedding day so perfect. Everything ran like clockwork. Nothing was a bother to anyone. This meant so much to us both, as our wedding day was so fantastic. Thank you all again for a brilliant day.

Exceptional

Dear Sir/Madam

I felt I had to write this letter to inform you of the exceptional time we had at your beautiful Hotel.

We arrived on 26th February 2009 and stayed 3 nights to celebrate my sister’s wedding, and from the moment we checked in the standard of service we received from your staff was the best I have ever experienced in a hotel. Nothing was any trouble and for a party of approximately 60 people to all have nothing but good things to say about the service, to me that is exceptional. We had good fun on the Friday evening for my Aunties 40th Birthday and on the Saturday the staff where fantastic for the wedding. In particular I would like to thank the Reception Manager and David the Bar Man for everything over the weekend.

I would also like to praise the chef for the quality of the food. We ate at the Hotel everyday and I have to say that no-one had a bad word to say about the standard of the food. To me it was the nicest I have ever had. (Personally I loved the raspberries in the Caesar salad!) The meal served at the wedding was gorgeous. The best I have ever had at a wedding. The sandwiches and chips also went down a treat at the evening party.

I live in Wigan and drive to Stranraer a few times a year to get the boat to Belfast to see my family. I will now make a point of stopping at The Gables for a meal every time.

Thank you so much again, I really wish it was the weekend all over again.

Perfect

To the Staff

Thank you so much for all your help in the lead up and on our Wedding Day. Our day was perfect and all of your hard work made, it run smoothly. We understand you have a lot of other weddings to organise but you really made us feel as if ours was the only wedding important to you. We have lovely memories of our day. Special thanks also to Ellie, one of your wonderful wedding co-ordinators. We both appreciated all of your help also.

Thank you for making our wedding day so special on the 2nd May 2009. It all went so smoothly and this is a credit to your staff. We and all our guests had a great weekend and will have memories to cherish forever. Hopefully we will get back up to Gretna to celebrate our 1st anniversary.
