Set within the charming grounds of Little Bradley Hall, Haverhill, The Garden Barn is a beautiful venue for a country wedding. The charming 18th-century timber-framed barn creates a wonderful atmosphere for your celebrations.

The barn's high ceilings and timber beams, combined with neutral modern décor, epitomise rustic elegance. This charming space can accommodate up to 80 seated guests for a formal wedding breakfast and up to 125 for a more relaxed event. For longer guest lists, an adjoining marquee can be arranged to provide additional space.

The Garden Barn opens out onto the beautiful grounds and looks out across the open fields and paddocks. The picturesque gardens boast blooming floral borders, creating a delightful setting for your day as well as gorgeous backdrops for the all-important wedding photographs.
The Garden Barn allows you the freedom to choose the perfect suppliers to create your dream wedding celebration. We are happy to recommend a variety of trusted suppliers to help you with your plans.

Little Bradley is a small hamlet set within the beautiful Stour Valley. While in a peaceful location, removed from the buzz of a city and undisturbed by passing traffic, the venue is located within easy reach of Cambridge, Newmarket, Haverhill and Bury St Edmunds. The venue offers ample private parking, ideal for travelling guests.

Stunning grounds with breathtaking country views are perfect for your wedding photography. Garden Barn benefits from under floor heating for a warm and inviting setting. The perfect venue

We had our wedding reception at The Garden Barns in June 2018. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking to get married. We searched high and low for our perfect reception venue in/around Cambridge- wanting somewhere we could put our own stamp on, use our preferred suppliers, our own alcohol, with a laid-back vibe in a private area, preferably in the country side. We were starting to think there was no such location close to Cambridge, but there is! I am so glad we stumbled upon Emily and The Garden Barns.
First, the venue is really beautiful and exactly what we wanted. We lucked out with the weather and had a glorious summer day and evening in the beautiful gardens, followed by an night dancing away in the barn. It was everything we had dreamed of!
Secondly, Emily was the ideal owner - very responsive, full of ideas and suggestions if needed, while being supportive of our own ideas, and on the day she made sure that the venue ran smoothly (something that we didn’t even notice her doing at the time!). She was also very clear on pricing, which had no hidden extras and we felt was very fair.
So, in summary, we would (and have) recommend this to anyone looking to get married in this beautiful part of the world.

The Perfect Choice

We booked The Garden Barn for our wedding in October and having researched lots of venues for the day, I can honestly say we made the perfect choice that was just right for us. We wanted to find somewhere that would allow us to personalise things but we didn't have the time to completely redecorate a village hall or kit out a whole marquee. Even without any decorations, the barn is stunning with fairy lights already strewn around and lovely uplights all over. We just did some really simple decorations at very little cost and the place looked beautiful.

Emily is the perfect host - helpful but not intrusive. Other than asking us to respect the venue there were very few rules - we could put decorations up, pins in the beams, bring our own alcohol (there's no corkage) and use any of the decorations and seating that they have in the barn at no extra cost. She has recommendations on suppliers, but there is no obligation to use them. It was so flexible.

I couldn't recommend the Garden Barn more highly. If there were 6 stars, then I'd rate it higher. All our guests said how beautiful the location was and it definitely provided the backdrop for a lot of lovely memories.

Best Venue for a relaxed wedding

We had our ceremony and reception at the Garden Barn on June 29th 2019 and everything went perfectly! We planned the day from overseas so only got to meet with Emily, the owner, once before the wedding but she was so flexible for us and responded very quickly to all of our emails. Her presence the day before the wedding and on the morning of was welcome and she was so helpful; answering all of our questions and ensuring we had everything we needed.

We also rented the cottage on the property for the Bridal party to get ready and Emily generously stocked it with food and drinks! The cottage is very cute with 2 double bedrooms and a spacious living area; perfect for doing hair and make-up in the morning. We also got to stay there the night of the wedding which was ideal.

We cannot fault the venue at all; the barn is beautiful, the gardens are spacious and contain lots of garden furniture for guests to use and Emily's organisation was fantastic.

Emily also recommended a caterer and a marquee supplier and they worked together to ensure the day ran smoothly (although you can make your own choice, which is also useful!).

A fabulous place for a wedding!

We had our ceremony and reception at The Garden Barn and it was spectacular. As soon as we met with Emily we were immediately sold. It is a gorgeous venue, Emily is wonderfully helpful and it is ideal for those who want flexibility in their approach to their wedding. Caterers, bar, entertainment etc. is the couple's choice. We used several of the recommended suppliers (although absolutely not required by the venue) and were really happy with them. Emily is keen to make sure couples can have the wedding they want whilst making sure the venue is protected for future weddings. We were able to have the venue the day before and after our wedding to give us ample time to set up/pack away which allowed us to personalise the venue just as much as we wanted.

Thanks to the beautiful weather we were able to have our ceremony in the outside area, it was absolutely perfect for us. It was really simple and just what we wanted. Emily co-ordinated this and made sure it ran smoothly and without any hassle for us. The fountains were a lovely touch and the portable PA system meant we could personalise the ceremony with our own music etc.

Our reception was between the barn and a smallish marquee attached to the side - we also made the most of the beautiful gardens as we had such lovely weather. We hired the Lodge Cottage for the weekend for some of our guests and this too was absolutely stunning - the little touches and added extras made sure the stay was exceptional.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Garden Barn for anyone who wants a beautiful, relaxed day in a gorgeous rural setting.

The perfect place for our day

We had an absolutely perfect wedding at the barn. Emily was amazing, and couldn't have helped more. The barn itself would have been perfect on its own, but we were allowed to personalise it with some little touches that really made it special to us. We honestly couldn't have asked for more. Thank you so so much! Worth every penny and then some.

The wedding reception was a tremendous success, exactly what we wanted.

After initial enquiries it was clear that you offered what we wanted in terms of own catering, drinks etc. When we visited it was clear that we needn''t look any further - it is such a stunning venue. And when we started organising the wedding it became clear that Emily would help us as much as possible. The wedding reception was a tremendous success, exactly what we wanted. We would have no hesitation in recommending you to anyone. We just would like to come back to see the place again - perhaps for our 50th.

The day was wonderful

The day was wonderful and a big part of that was to do with the venue and the weather. All the children enjoyed themselves as did all of the adults.

The garden Barn is truely a beautiful and unique venue.

The Garden Barn is a beautiful and unique venue and the perfect setting for our wedding reception. So many of our guests were completely ''wowed'' by the barn and it definitely made our wedding all the more special.
