This historic hotel was built in 1854, and it features a magnificent Cotswold stone facade. The building is surrounded by acres of lush gardens and woodland, and it is conveniently situated near the Royal Highgrove Estate and the National Arboretum. The hotel has 42 guest bedrooms, including several dog-friendly rooms. Guest rooms are located in the Main House, the Coach House, and Silkwood Court. Newlyweds are invited to stay in the romantic Gamekeeper’s Cottage, which features a private garden and a hot tub. Facilities and Capacity

The Hare and Hounds Hotel has four areas licensed for civil ceremonies. For weddings, we offer one part of the hotel exclusively, with direct access to large garden and decking space, a private indoor bar, and an outside bar!

The Westonbirt Room

The Westonbirt Room is the hotel’s largest event space. It seats 120 ceremony guests and up to 150 for an evening reception, with plenty of space for a disco and dancing! The Westonbirt Room is decorated with sylvan wallpaper, and the room’s neutral colour scheme complements a variety of styles, suited to both winter and summer weddings. Just outside the Westonbirt Room is a private bar, and direct access to a substantial amount of garden and decking space, reserved for weddings.

The Beaufort Restaurant and Lounge

The effortlessly-stylish Beaufort Restaurant boasts a high-beamed ceiling and large windows that look out onto the garden. The restaurant can accommodate up to 120 ceremony guests. The cosy Beaufort Lounge is furnished with comfortable couches, and it is an ideal gathering spot; this area is reserved for your drinks reception, and can be dressed with signage, tea lights and flowers to create a warm and welcoming entrance for your guests.

Breeze House - Garden Ceremonies

The timber-framed Breeze House is perfect for outdoor ceremonies. Located in the beautiful hotel garden, Breeze House is surrounded by immaculate lawns, winding pathways, and delightful flower beds.
