The Hertfordshire Golf & Country Club is a country wedding venue in Broxbourne, Hertfordshire, located within an area of outstanding natural beauty. The venue is set within a stunning 18th century, grade II listed mansion, boasting spectacular views across the golf course. The impressive course meanders through the ancient grounds, providing an enchanting backdrop for your momentous occasion.

Facilities and Capacity

The bright and beautifully appointed function rooms at The Hertfordshire can provide the ideal atmosphere for your occasion. Couples can host their entire celebration here, with licensed civil ceremony spaces and plenty of amenities for a memorable reception. The venue offers a selection of gorgeous rooms for your wedding breakfast and reception. Up to 80 loved ones can join you in the Colonial Room or 110 with the interconnecting St James room. You and your loved ones can enjoy an exuberant affair with ample space for a dance floor, a seated meal, and live entertainment. In addition, the countryside location allows plenty of room and parking for you and your guests.

Just perfect ! Carol

A massive thank you to Jo, Karen and her team for the impeccable service we received at this venue for my daughters wedding
They all went well beyond our expectations to make this such a perfect day.
The wedding planner Jo worked her socks off all day and night making sure everything run perfectly.

Karen and her team were amazing ..everything was perfect . the food was absolutely lovely canapes were very tasty .we had so many compliments from the guests for the main meal too.

This is a perfect venue for a wedding , beautiful surroundings and lovely staff.
Thanks again to all the team for making it such a memorable day.

August 2014 wedding

Our wedding was a "smashing" experience. All our guests have said that it was the best wedding they have ever been too, the venue was dressed beautifully and to make it even more perfect the sun was shining. Jack Maclean was attentive and professional from the first meeting, he always had time for our endless questions and emails and was always available to give advice. He helped us create our dream day and all the hard work paid off, it was just perfect. The Hertfordshire team couldn't do enough for us and our guests on the day, and we can't thank you everyone at the Hertfordshire enough. Our wedding went perfectly without any issues and that's all down to the team. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Special place in our hearts

The reason we chose this venue was because of the beautiful location but also the flexibility you had. No one told us what we what we must have, they listened to what we wanted and they helped us make it come true. Jack in particular worked with us and helped me with everything. The result was amazing. I can't thank Jack enough, The staff on the day were friendly, polite. The BBQ just perfect. The Hertfordshire made our day, all our guest commented on the beautiful setting.

Fab

I cannot thank the Hertfordshire golf and country club more for all of their efforts on our wedding day. Jack was exceptional throughout helping with our planning and giving us ideas. The day was perfect and I cannot thank the staff enough who were involved from kitchen staff with wonderful food, the events team who made sure every aspect was planned with exquisite details and everyone who maintains such beautiful grounds. This venue and it's staff comes highly recommended by us and all couples will be sure of a fantastic day from this venue.

Dear Jack, and The Events Department,




I hope this email find you well.

I am just writing on behalf of my wife Gosia and I to express our many thanks and gratitude for an excellent service throughout our wedding day!

We are elated with the way the day went, and have received many compliments from our guests!

We were very happy with the level of organisation from making the initial booking right up until the day itself, and it was plain to see that you and your team did an excellent job in preparing the venue and accommodating all of our requests, making it such a personal day for us both!

On the day itself we were very happy with how things ran, the attention to detail in the table arrangements and the quality of decorations and food service.

Overall we believe we had the perfect all round experience and both agree that we will be recommending the Hertfordshire to our friends in the future!

All in all, we had a fantastic time, and we know that it was in part due to an excellent professional service from you and your team throughout the day!

so sorry for the time it has taken us, it's hard to put into words how much we appreciate all the help you have given us.

Thank you so much Jack for all the hard work you and your team put in to organising the best wedding day we could have asked for. From the moment we first visited The Hertfordshire with its lovely long drive, pretty lakes, gorgeous building and friendly staff we knew this would be the perfect venue for us. The food was delicious and the portions were very generous too, our guests all commented on how tasty it was. You happily answered all our questions throughout the planning of our wedding, you knew exactly what we wanted and nothing was too much to ask. We can't thank you enough for how lovely the rooms looked and for how smoothly the day ran. We truly had the best day ever and this was all down to you and your lovely team, we are sad it is all over!

We would like to say a massive thank you to Jack and his team at the Hertfordshire who made our day so special. From the first visit to the venue we were made to feel so welcome and that no question or request was too small or insignificant. Throughout the whole process of the planning Jack was always on hand to help and suggest ways to make the most out of the beautiful venue. The day went perfectly, the room looked simply stunning and every guest mentioned how impressed they were with the venue and the food, particularly the generous portion sizes. Summer wedding for 90 guests

Hi Jack,


Thank you for your email and for your kind words!


We can both honestly say arranging the venue was our most enjoyable experience when planning the wedding and this was only made possible by yourself and all the kind staff at the Hertfordshire.


We will send you some pictures when we come back from our honeymoon. (We may even pop in again if your not fed up of our faces)

Summer BBQ Wedding

On behalf of myself and Daniel we would just like to thank you once more from the bottom of our hearts. Our wedding day was perfect. We really could not of had such a special day without you. Right from the start you guided, helped, advised and supported us...but not once did you push us into doing something that wasn't right for us. You made us feel so relaxed about our day and was even on hand at the really nervous points. It's been such a pleasure to get to know you and to have you as part of our wedding. You have a very special place in our hearts. It's going to be so nice to look back on our day in years to come knowing we had the best wedding planner in the UK and have gained another friend. We also want to mention all the staff on the day we're so helpful and couldn't do more for us. They were all so friendly and one thing that made our day was the staff also having a great time at our wedding. The food was superb and the setting was awesome....wish we could do it all again.
