The Holiday Inn Ellesmere Port is the ideal choice for a simple and elegant wedding venue. This beautiful waterfront location is ideally located just 8 miles from Chester's historic centre. The hotel is within a 30-minute drive of Liverpool, and Manchester. Couples and their loved ones will be able to reach this space with ease, no matter where they are coming from and will be pleasantly surprised of our waterfront venue on our own private Island.


Facilities and Capacity

You can host an intimate ceremony or reception in our Manfred suite or celebrate on a grander scale with up to 200 guests in our Mercer suite. You can also choose to say your "I dos" against our waterfront backdrop, ideal for romantic scenery.

Our unique location on our private Island will leave you and your guests feeling relaxed and excited for your special day to unravel. The stunning scenery is perfect and gives the idyllic backdrop for wedding portraits you and your guests will love and remember for years to come.

Holiday Inn Ellesmere Port such a perfect wedding venue

Wow what can we say about our wedding party. We celebrated our wedding on Saturday and from start to finish the whole Ellesmere Port Holiday Inn experience was perfect. The location is absolutely stunning and made the perfect backdrop for our photographs. The whole team were so friendly and exceptional in ensuring everything was just right for us and our guests. All our guests haven’t stopped talking about it saying it’s by far one of the best venues they have been to. A big thank you to Nadya our wedding coordinator who was so organised and gave us excellent advice and guidance, Rachael & Craig (All about you photography) and DJ Steve (Amore events) for all making it so perfect.

The most incredible wedding day

Our wedding planner Claire was absolutely incredible from start to finish. After postponing twice due to covid she made our transition so easy both times. Nothing was too much trouble and with my constant questions, she made me feel so at ease! Claire and her team work so hard. On the run up to the wedding Claire was in touch regularly and Jorja was great on the day making sure everything went to plan and was perfect! The day went without a hitch and everything was perfect. The food was incredible and the staff were just amazing. I can’t thank everyone, especially Claire enough for making our day so perfect. Thank you so much!!

Perfect Wedding

We had our reception/evening do at the Holiday Inn Ellesmere Port on 30/07/2022. The day could not have gone any better.
We were really impressed with the venue from the very beginning. Claire was really enthusiastic about our wedding and wanted to do everything she could to make our day special. Her planning was really thorough as well.
When the day came, the service was excellent and the food was enjoyed by everybody. The Manfred Suite is ideal for Wedding Breakfasts and the view out over the waterways is really nice.
The evening do was the best that either of us have ever been to, all the guests thought Stephen the DJ put an amazing party on. The dancefloor was never empty - even during the buffet!
We are both really grateful to Claire, Jorja and all the team who gave us the perfect day. We couldn't have had a better time anywhere else - we definitely made the right choice.

You wont regret it!

We booked our wedding here back in 2019, we fell in love with the venue straight away, it has good transport links, the staff were super friendly and the reception room with the view of the water and the narrowboats was a dream! Our co-ordinator Claire was just amazing! We decided to postpone our wedding to this year from last year and nothing was too much trouble and within the day we moved everything over! We had several meetings with claire throughout this time and several email catch ups inbetween, in the weeks leading up to the wedding claire arranged a meeting with us and took all our suppliers details and then contacted them all to arrange times and arrivals, and liased with us wonderfully to ensure our day went off without a hitch! Which it did! Our day was perfect! The staff were so incredibly attentive and friendly, the food was amazing, the room looked incredible and every member of staff went above and beyond to make sure we had the most fab day, I may be biased because it was so amazing but if your looking for a reasonably priced venue where you can pur some of your budget in to other things but still want that expensive feeling then honestly go and give this place a look! You really wont regret it.

Our perfect day

We can’t recommend the hotel enough as a wedding venue! From day one we were treated like V.I.P’s and were made to feel like nothing was too much.
Claire was excellent! She was there for all our needs and any worries we had were swiftly cleared up.
Whether it be over the phone, in person or in an email, Claire made us feel like the most important couple on the planet. It was a real shame that she was on holiday the week of our wedding but she couldn’t have put us in better hands by giving us Adam to take charge of our special day.
Adam was fantastic and made the whole day flow in the order we wanted it to. Again, nothing was too much for him and we really felt our happiness was the most important thing. It was the little touches he added that really blew us away and made us feel really special and extremely well looked after.
The food was exceptional and all our guests commented on how delicious it was. We had guests attend who had dietary requirements and again this wasn’t an issue and their meals were just as wonderful. For our buffet, the guests with dietary requirements were really looked after as ours was all meat, they were asked what they would like and were given a selection of food fitting their needs that went down really well.
The whole day was just absolutely perfect and we both had such an amazing day.
Every member of staff we encountered from day one were superb. From reception, bar staff, chefs, waiters and waitresses, cleaners, Adam and Claire and everyone in between were all so warm, friendly and an absolute credit to the hotel.

Amazing venue

Amazing venue. Wedding was perfect and the staff were amazing. I had my whole wedding there and they did an amazing job. Highly recommend. Michelle, the wedding coordinator, kept in contact throughout the whole planning phase and was always on hand to answer all my questions. She was a massive help and worth her weight in gold.

I loved loved loved my wedding here. All the staff were amazing and looked after us all day, if anything went wrong we didn't know about it. All of our guests still comment on how beautiful our day was. Food was beautiful, rooms were lovely. All our needs were catered for. The Holiday Inn EP will always be my favourite place on earth and Leanne and Laura will always be my fairy Godmothers xxxx

it was fantastic from start to finish, nothing was too much, we were running late and it was no problem, the food was lovely and piping hot,, the staff were so friendly, alot of family hard come from out of town, they all loved it. not one of my guests complained, they all loved it, the bridal suite is so worth the extra money it made the whole experience amazing, i would recommend every one to try here , It was more than i exprected, they made it amazing.

Truly the Best Day Ever!

The weekend was amazing and was more than we could of ever hoped for! Thank you to yourself and Adam for looking after us so well. We were just in a whirlwind the whole time ??

Just incredible!

I honestly don’t know what to say Claire.

It has been the most incredible 4 months, not to mention the last few days.

We have just sung your praises to anyone that will listen.

From booking last minute to ringing you every week ??
The biggest compliment that I can give to you is that I always felt like Number 1. I’m well aware you had 1/2 weddings a week and yet every time I called to ask something I felt like I was like a priority bride. It felt as though I was the only bride.

Your kindness and willing to help has absolutely blown us both away and it meant so much that you went out of your way so that we could both surprise each other.
We are just sitting in our little getaway thinking how it must have been for you knowing that we both wanted to surprise each other.

The day went perfectly. It was just magical. I wouldn’t have changed anything about it and I’m actually so bloody glad that our first venue closed down!

Everything happens for a reason and it brought us to you and the holiday inn.

We have all our gifts and cards to open tonight and we are just so loved up, and a bit teary.

Please do stay in touch if you want any of this wedding stuff but also just because you are amazing.
