The Honourable Society of Gray's Inn is a wedding venue located in Central London. If you are looking for a traditional space with a historical past, this is the perfect venue for you. The building was established over 600 years ago and today offers an exclusive and impressive setting for your wedding day.

Facilities and Capacity

The Honourable Society of Gray's Inn has four event spaces available for you to choose from. The impressive oak-panelled Elizabethan Hall seats up to 176 of your guests for a seated wedding breakfast. The Walks comprises five acres of beautifully manicured greenery, one of London's most extensive private gardens. Beautiful and historical, the gardens are an idyllic spot for summer celebrations under their Marquee, which can accommodate up to 300 guests. If you would like to host your wedding service at Gray's Inn, they are licensed to perform civil ceremonies and partnerships for an audience of up to 180 guests. Wedding ceremonies and receptions can occur here all year round, including weekends and bank holidays. If you are a member of the Inn, you can even host your ceremony in the on-site Chapel.

Services Offered

After booking your wedding here, the venue's dedicated event coordinator will work with you to explore your options. Your party will get exclusive access to the property on the day of your wedding, and free parking is available for all your guests. The wedding party will be able to relax and prepare before the event in two private dressing suites. Their dedicated team will work tirelessly to create a bespoke event for you that is tailored to your budget requirements. With their superb menus, attention to detail, and faultless organisation, you will be able to relax knowing that everything is taken care of.

Truly excellent

Gray's Inn is a fantastic venue with atmosphere and great character. Its Banqueting Team are clearly concerned to support and assist you in making the most of both of those elements, whilst also being flexible and willing to look to meet your own wishes to personalise your event. The quality of the service provision, and of the food and drink served, is very high. Our wedding was magical and highly complimented by many people. Gray's Inn had an integral part in that.

The results looked effortless!

We were very pleased with the catering and service at Gray’s. The staff were very professional, efficient and friendly and you’d made the room look great. Thank you very much to you and the team for your work - the results looked effortless but I’m sure lots of hard graft goes on behind the scenes to make things go so smoothly. To George and the team at Gray's Inn,

A huge thank you for making our wedding so memorable. George you were brilliant in all of the help you gave us in preparations and it was great to see you on the day. Simon, thank you too for all of your help and please thank the staff.
George, no stone was left unturned; the furniture and flowers in The Walks, the table settings, the food and 'place cards' when I knew they were a challenge!

Exceeded expectations!

JP and I wanted to thank you, Yuri and your staff for the wonderful day we had at Gray's Inn. The service was impeccable (as I expected), the food delicious and the atmosphere intimate. Further, thank you for Yuri's history tour and the written French/English print out, which was a huge hit with our guests who were all suitably impressed.

Overall, our high expectations were exceeded for which many thanks.

Best day of our lives!

Dear George,

Thank you very much indeed for your kind email.

Thanks to you, Anthony, and the entire team, we had the best day of our lives.

All of your arrangements were absolutely flawless and we can only say thank you so, so much for everything. You may have already heard, but we were so lucky with the weather which made the day even more perfect.

All of our guests were very impressed with Gray’s Inn as a venue, and so many people came up to us to compliment the food – apparently it was the best food they’ve ever tasted at a wedding. This wasn’t a surprise to us having tasted it previously, but please pass on our compliments and sincere gratitude to chef and entire catering team.

We were sorry to miss you but Anthony looked after us and he was absolutely brilliant. Please pass on our thanks to Anthony for an unforgettable day.

Our only regret is not being able to afford to have a wedding at Gray’s Inn every weekend!!

Fabulous - Everyone Had A Great Day

Got married at Gray’s Inn in May 2014 and had an amazing day. Julie and Anthony did a fantastic job on the day and in the lead up to the wedding Julie was brilliant from providing lists of bands and florists to even collecting our Wedding Cake. The comments I have had back from my guests are fabulous, everyone had a great day and loved the location not only because it was so easy to get to but also because it was so tranquil for the centre of London. I would highly recommend Gray’s Inn as a venue, from start to finish my wedding preparation was completely stress free and the service provided was second to none.

Amazing day & amazing venue

If you want the most amazing wedding experience look no further than the Honorable Society of Grays Inn
From the first to last contact the entire team could not have been more helpful and gave us a day the nobody will ever forget.
Everything was superb, the service, the food, the venue, the ambiance, the professionalism I cannot praise it highly enough.

The perfect venue

We had our wedding in Gray's Inn in August 2013 and it was absolutely perfect. The venue is beautiful with an array of stunning rooms to use and secluded gardens (the Walks) where we held our drinks reception and canapés. We used the Hall for the ceremony, dinner and for dancing afterwards. The team seamlessly changed it meaning that it felt like a different room and was perfect for each part of the event. The food was fantastic and the staff are incredibly attentive and really provide a fine dining experience for every guest. The wedding planning was handled incredibly professionally throughout, our friends and family were surprised by the lack of pre- wedding stress, but there was none thanks to the incredible work of Julie. On the day Anthony ensured that it ran to plan and we did not have to think about anything, he was fantastic, as was the Commissionaire. I have received so many compliments from guests on the location, food and service, I can not recommend Gray's Inn highly enough.

A dream day made possible

We got married at the Gray’s Inn in May. I think it’s fair to say it is the ideal venue! The great hall and pension room provide spectacular venues for hosting guests for dinner, and just right to have a dance venue with bar all in one area. Simultaneously the bride and groom are afforded some tranquillity in the associated green rooms. The food was excellent – each course brought more compliments and gushing statements of appreciation. The staff exceeded our expectations – discrete, accurate, thoughtful throughout. We had Anthony as the duty manager – if you get a chance, request him, he is excellent! Julie was brilliant at keeping us informed and asking all the right questions in the lead up to the day, so that everything went smoothly. We would highly recommend the Gray’s Inn for the level of service and quality throughout.

Exceptional

This is my family's 5th wedding at Gray's (My parents in 1968 and 3 siblings!)
We couldn't have been happier with how everything went.
Nicola went out of her way to help and had some great ideas of her own. the food was delicious and service impeccable. Thank you all

Beautiful gardens in central London

We hired the marquee in the Walks for our wedding reception this summer. We loved the open space and tranquillity of the gardens at Gray’s Inn. The option to have a summer bbq menu also complemented our relaxed garden party style of reception. The food was delicious and was praised highly by our guests.

The staff at Gray's were wonderful throughout, both in the lead up to the wedding and on the day. Nothing was too much trouble and they made sure the smallest of details were perfect.

We would recommend Gray's Inn.

An amazing venue complete with excellent staff

Thank you to the staff of Grays Inn! From the start, the staff at Grays Inn were excellent. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them, and no detail was left unattended. It made the build up to the wedding extremely easy and stress free. Julie and her team on the day were exceptional, and the venue itself looked amazing. The Great Hall is a fantastic venue - formal and grand, but small enough to be personal. The food was excellent and the option of bringing your own wine was great to. The venue is perfect for 100 + guests and the disco at the end sounded great (organised by Grays Inn).Once again, a massive thank you to Julie and her team - what a great day!!!

Absolutely wonderful

From the first time we met with the team at Gray's Inn and saw the stunning venue we knew it was the perfect place for our wedding reception. The team at Gray's Inn worked tirelessly to enable us to have a seamless and bespoke reception that we absolutely loved. It truly is one of a kind - and there is a genuine feeling of a bespoke service
