The Hospital of St Cross & Almshouse of Noble Poverty is delighted to invites couples to its Norman Chapel wedding venue situated in it's gorgeous manicured grounds that lie in the Southside of Winchester; Hampshire's Cathedral city. Founded by Henri de Blois almost 900 years ago, this stunning building is one of England's oldest & finest Almshouses that is still in use today. Gothic architecture, chalk steams, meadows, all amidst verdant surroundings creates a gorgeous backdrop for your special day.
Facilities and Capacity
The Hospital of St Cross can host up to 250 guests for your ceremony, wedding breakfast, and evening reception. After saying 'I do' at the altar in the exquisite Gothic church, enjoy drinks and canapes in The Master's Garden immersed in natural beauty. Couples can host an outdoor wedding with a marquee on the lawn or head inside the Hundred Men's Hall for an intimate occasion of 40 to 60 loved ones. The Brethren's Hall offers a more spacious room for an indoor celebration for up to 100 guests (60 seated). Each venue provides flexibility for seated and standing events with creative dining solutions and bespoke layouts. There's ample parking for travelling guests and lovely hotels nearby for overnight accommodation.
