Before even having the wedding tour we knew this was our dream venue but Kerri, Jonathan and all the staff really are the best at what they do to make sure you have the best day of your life.

No question or request was too much and all communication replied to promptly. The meeting the night before helps to settle any last minutes queries or nerves and helps with what to expect - this means on the day you are just left to enjoy it all without a worry!

I think the phone call to confirm the ceremony was to go ahead outside will be one of the best in my life. The staff are amazing and we had so many comments on how our day was the best, most organised wedding our guests had experienced.

We cannot thank you all enough, we will most definitely be back to celebrate in the future.

We had a very short time to book a wedding as we noticed via Instagram that Inn on the lake weddings had a last minute cancellation in December on either the 9th or 16th so me and my partner went to look around it and met with Kerri to see what the package included. It was an amazing deal and We loved it and liked the slight alterations that came with the package deal. Therefore in April we booked our wedding for December. There was numerous emails sent backwards and forwards and we went to taste the menu by just going for a meal at Inn on the lake where we discussed more details and paid money off the bill. They were able to give us recommendations for supplier's and were happy for us to use the ones we found. Fast forward to the night before John gave us a run down of how the day would go and if there’s anything we wanted to change add ect and allowed us to use the cold room for bits that we have brought for the wedding such as flowers cake signs ect.. the venue kept a very big surprise for us which they worked tirelessly to make it happen and we were super greatful for this and helping and allowing us to do that! They also worked with us despite it being mid storm weather as guests and ourselves were getting the venue soaked as we braved the weather for photos. They allowed us to see the wedding breakfast and ensured we were happy with the layout and asked my husband about the smaller details as I got ready in the morning, they kept us up to date with who was arriving via phone calls provided amazing room service for the bridal party as they got ready in the morning. I’ve had nothing but compliments about how tasty the wedding breakfast food was, they even kept our meals heated and to one side if we needed to go out and take photos. They listened and provided amazing service an example is I asked for more gravy and they provided it.
All of the staff were incredible and polite and would not do enough for you. Loved the way John would check in with his team and us to make sure everything was going smoothly and i would recommend this venue to anyone getting married it’s beautiful in all weathers, it’s accommodating and it was a delightful experience working with them to make our dream wedding come true.

The Inn on the Lake is just the most perfect wedding venue, the setting is fantastic and the staff are just phenomenal. Two members of staff I must mention are Kerri and Jonathan nothing was two much trouble and they both made the day completely seamless. They had all the little details in hand and just organised everything to perfection.

Having travelled from Suffolk with our guests travelling from all over the country it was great to hear all their reactions to the venue when they arrived and them completely understanding why we picked where we did. The views are just breathtaking weather it rain or shine there is nothing more that you could ask for from a venue.

The best wedding venue with the most stunning surroundings and the best team of staff ever. Not a single thing went wrong or not quite to plan. Everything was as we wished for and nothing we asked was too much trouble. They are a credit to the beautiful venue and they made our day perfect. We were made to feel so special our whole stay and it really did make a difference to us. We really couldn’t have asked for anything more - Jonathan, Kayleigh and Kerri a huge shout out too - they are just beyond incredible! We are overwhelmed by how perfectly run the day was and we will be forever grateful. To anybody thinking of getting married here, don’t think about it - DO IT.

We got married at Inn on the Lake just over 2 weeks ago and we had the most wonderful day.

Everything was just perfect, from the bridal suite and the scenery, to the catering and service from the whole team.

Everyone there was super friendly and helped us feel at ease, (can be difficult when you've got a whole wedding coming up!) which made our experience so much more relaxing.

We honestly couldn't thank the whole team enough for doing such a fab job and can't wait to revisit this special place in the future!

We had our wedding on the 05/04/23. Our guests said it was the best wedding they had ever been too! The team couldn’t do enough to make it feel special for us. I can't recommend Inn on The Lake enough. They were so helpful whilst we had to navigate our wedding through Covid. After postponing twice, we finally managed to get married on 19 Dec. 2022. By this point we had moved to Dubai so having a venue that took care of so much for us and helped us pull everything together was beyond amazing. They took care of us from start to finish, each and every staff member was excellent and the venue and food was stunning.

We chose Inn On The Lake for its location, classic but modern wedding aesthetic and that its dog and family friendly. Our day was perfect from start to finish. Jonathan and all the team ensured the day ran smoothly and we didn't have to think about anything other than having a great time.

Kerri & the admin team were fantastic. They provided a great service from our first visit to checking out after our wedding day. Wedding planning was fun and stress free for us, and this was because of the professional service IOTL provides. All the businesses and wedding suppliers in Cumbria are excellent at what they do with efficient communication, so if you aren't local (we are Manchester based) don't let it put you off having a gorgeous wedding in The Lakes.

The food was delicious and plentiful and the bars have great selection beers on. The venue is stunning inside and outside, and you have the option of treating your guests to a ride on a steam boat after your wedding breakfast. All our guests had a wonderful day and commented on how fabulous the venue is.

Our wedding at the Inn on the Lake was absolutely wonderful! The venue is really beautiful, the staff are really friendly and helpful, it was all round a dream come true. The day flashed past in an instant, but the staff were really efficient in getting everything set up and getting everyone where they needed to be. The guests really loved the beautiful location and the different rooms you move through throughout the day. Really top marks!

Inn on the Lake has the most stunning location and incredible team which made our day perfect in every way. Kerri, Johnathan and their team did everything possible to make our day run smoothly and include all the special details we wanted from our day. We couldn't have asked for anything more.

My husband and I got married at this beautiful hotel in March and although it would have been a special day regardless, the location and staff made it exceptional.

We really can't thank the whole team enough.

Kerri was amazing from the first point of contact. Nothing was too much trouble and she made the whole planning and run up to the day completely stress free. She responded to any queries we had immediately and made us feel as though everything was under control and well planned even when we had last minute guest changes and food & drink requests.

Jonathan was our co-ordinator on the day. He met us the night before to make sure he knew exactly what our expectations were and to talk us through the day, which again made us feel so relaxed and comfortable knowing that the staff had every little detail planned out.
On the morning of the wedding, as promised, I got 3 separate calls to the bridal suite from Jonathan, letting me know that the ceremony was going to be outside (yay), letting me know when the registrar had arrived, then letting me know it was time to go down so I felt so organised.
We chose not to have live music during the day and instead opted for a playlist on our phones. We gave Jonathan our phone for the day and he made sure that the right music was played at exactly the right time, from walking down the aisle, signing the register, exit and wedding breakfast background music.

We had lots of decor that we wanted moving from the outdoor ceremony to the wedding breakfast room and then from the wedding breakfast room to the evening room. The staff moved all of the decor for us and the rooms couldnt have looked more perfect.

We brought things like sparklers, welcome signs, favours, name cards etc that were completely sorted out by the staff. Nothing was forgotten and everything was just as i had pictured. At the end of the night we didn't have to worry about taking anything down or collecting any of our things. From the leftover cake, name cards, welcome signs, decorations and cake knife, everything was boxed up ready for us to take home. Throughout the day the card box and present table were emptied by the staff and brought up to the bridal suite as well, which was lovely so we didn't have to keep running things upstairs ourselves.

We were too hungover/tired the next morning so the staff rang us and asked if we wanted breakfast in bed! We did and it was gorgeous.

All of the staff at the hotel were faultless and all of our guests commented on how lovely and accommodating they all were. They fluffed my dress up for me before going down the aisle and before going into the wedding breakfast room and were always nearby if we needed anything.

The whole day went without a hitch. It was absolutely perfect and I'm so jealous of all you future couples getting married here as I'd do anything to have our day again!

The Inn on the Lake is as beautiful inside as it is outside, we absolutely loved the decor. We were lucky that the sun shone for us and we got married outside and the views and the photos were absolutely incredible, what a back drop! The venue itself wasn’t the only reason we booked though, from our first look around Kerri was so helpful, knowledgeable and professional, every person we came into contact with spoke to us and was so friendly and this was a big part of our decision too as I think the staff really make a wedding. On the day of the wedding I felt so calm (which is not like me) I think because the venue were clearly so good at what they do, I knew that Jonathan would have everything in hand and it would be absolutely perfect and there was nothing for me to worry about and I was right! All the guests commented on how lovely every member of staff was and how fun the bar staff in the evening were as well, particularly Ross. The staff set everything up that I had brought perfectly. The food was gorgeous, everything from our morning breakfast in the room, canapés, wedding breakfast and the evening guests loved the festival food, I am just so gutted I was too busy dancing to have some. The wording on our dessert was a special touch. The hotel rooms were clean and just as beautiful as the rest of the venue. The only thing we could possibly pick out that would have been good (but not essential) would be a taster session before picking the food but having ate there many times previously we knew whatever we picked would be nice.

I can’t recommend Kerri and team enough, they were incredible for both our weddings. After 3 postponed dates Kerri was there every step of the way making sure so could do everything in her power to help us. She managed to organise our restricted numbered wedding (of 12) and then a year later our dreamed of big white wedding with all our guests. Both days were perfect - they think of everything. I cannot thank her and her team enough. From our first meeting and seeing the stunning venue - there was nowhere else we would want for our special day (or days in our case)

What a venue! - do not hesitate to book! We couldn't have asked for more from the venue or the team.

Venue wise - stunning location makes for fabulous photos - lake, garden and mountain views plus lovely options inside too; the hotel is tastefully, stylishly decorated and in good nic and needs minimal additional decorations for your special day; the bedrooms are comfy and lovely. The food is tasty and plentiful but with enough wow factor and the bars are well stocked with good variety.

Staff wise - the team at the IotL could not have done more for us if they tried (and they really tried!). From Kerri helping with the planning and preparations, always contactable (and getting in contact) and approachable, to the team on the day who went above and beyond to make sure the day went smoothly despite last minute changes to the plans on the day itself due to the weather. We were so grateful. They kept our stress to an absolute minimum and surprised us on the day too with lots of sweet additional touches.

All of our guests commented positively on the hotel and staff saying how great the venue was and helpful/kind all the staff were. Considering we had >100 guests I think that says something for itself!
