My husband and I got married at The Lion Inn in October 2022.

When looking for a venue I was struggling to find somewhere that met all of our criteria that wasn’t unreasonably expensive! We visited other venues and felt so let down by our experiences.

I accidentally stumbled across this venue and from the second we got in contact, the professionalism and support offered was incredible. The separate Lion House Venue where our wedding was performed was just stunning and the private outdoor area for guests and art deco bar were just the most beautiful touches.

This venue and the amazing staff who work there were flexible, accommodating and really did everything they could to make our day so perfect. We loved EVERY SECOND!!!!

We had the best day ever at The Lion. From the moment we stepped foot in the venue Megan was so warm and friendly and seemed like she genuinely cared and wanted the best for us. The prices are reasonable compared to lots of other venues around and they were very willing to cater to our requirements (we wanted a vegetarian wedding and had lots of vegan guests attending too) - everyone commented how amazing the food was. Kaleigh was our wedding coordinator and she was so professional and organised, she made sure everything ran smoothly and we are so grateful to her. The accommodation is just gorgeous and we were treated like royalty by all the staff which just made the whole weekend feel so special. Special shout out to Jo who was so friendly and attentive, she took care of our grandmothers making sure they were comfortable and had a chair at all times, she checked in our vegan guests, she seemed to know what I wanted before I even asked and made us all feel so special. I wish we could do the whole day again! Everything about this venue is incredible - and especially the staff and the food are absolutely exceptional.

We had such a great day at the Lion Inn. From our first visit to our special day, Georgina and the whole staff were so helpful, accommodating and incredibly professional. Everything went flawlessly on the day and was so well organised, we didn't have to worry about a thing.

The Lion felt like home the first time we walked in. Attending the fair made it easy for us to get sober of our vendors. We knew what we wanted for our wedding and they executed it perfectly.

I fell in love with The Lion the second I saw the photos and the venue did not disappoint. It is not only stunning to look at but the service we received on the day was amazing. Everyone from reception staff, cleaners & events team were second to none. All of our guests commented on how amazing everything was and one guest even recommended the venue to her newly engaged brother! Honestly couldn't recommend this venue more.
Even when my daughter lost her bracelet on the day, the garden maintenance team kept an eye out and found it in a hedge weeks after the wedding!

My wife and I chose The Lion House after meeting there and having our first date at The Lion Inn and it only seemed fitting that our special day was held there. Ashton and all the team were so supportive and amazing from start to finish and the venue was fantastically dressed. They provided a relaxed and beautiful venue for memorable day with our family and friends. The venue catered for lots of photo opportunities with idyllic backgrounds. Couldn't have wished for anything more, it was perfect! Thank you to the whole team involved.

From the very beginning of the process we knew that The Lion was the venue for us, it is such a unique and stunning venue. From our first viewing to the day after our wedding the attention to detail was second to none. Corresponding with the team in the lead up to our wedding day was absolute perfection, never felt like a burden asking questions, there was a genuine care from the team to make our day perfect. We had the lovely Georgina as our Wedding Coordinator and we knew we were in safe hands from our first planning meeting, we felt so comfortable and confident that our day was going to go off without any issues in her hands which allowed us to enjoy the experience in the lead up to the wedding so much more! Nothing was too much, not once were we forced into any upgrades or purchases that weren't part of our plan. There is no set 'package' you build your day as you see it with their help and guidance. Our day was nothing short of perfect and we have the venue and staff to Thank. Every guest commented on how beautiful the venue was, how genuinely friendly and caring the staff were. My brother being a very important guest at our wedding is in a wheelchair and the staff went over and above to ensure both he and my family looking after him throughout the day were well catered for and seen to. The food was served piping hot to every single table and was fresh and delicious. We have had so many comments from our guests about the incredible food. The value for money truly is incredible here.

One of the highlights was the roast chicken dinner, which was simply outstanding. The meal was delicious, perfectly cooked and a wonderful selection of sides. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the food (and drinks!!)

We owe a huge part of our seamless experience to Georgina, our wedding coordinator. Her attention to detail, professionalism, and warm personality made the entire planning process a breeze. She ensured that every aspect of our wedding went off without a hitch, allowing us to fully enjoy our day and helped all of my plans become a reality.

Dan and I got married at the Lion House in August. From our first visit to the weekend of our big day we were treated so well by the wedding planning team and staff. Georgina our wedding planner was so friendly, professional and nothing was too much for her. Our day was amazing and all our friends and family commented on how good the venue was.

If you are considering The Lion Inn for your wedding day, I can wholeheartedly recommend them. Everything was amazing from the planning stage with our dedicated and friendly coordinator (Georgina) to the delicious food and smooth running on the day itself. It’s a truly spectacular venue with the art deco bar and intimate feel. We loved everything about the venue and staff. Our guests enjoyed our perfect day and many commented on the wonderful venue and the fantastic food.

We got married here on 25th October 2023, we had the most incredible day above anything we could have imagined! The staff went above & beyond, Megan our coordinator could not have done more for us throughout the process. Such an amazing venue!

Our wedding with The Lion Inn was just as we wanted it to be.
They kept in contact during the planning stages and worked really hard to make the day personal to us. They catered for our small wedding perfectly.
On the day itself everything went so smoothly and the ceremony room was set up so beautifully. The meal they provided was also so high quality and no one went hungry at all- so much food for value for money.

We were married here at the lion house in May 2023 and my goodness I could not have wished for a better wedding venue, from the day we viewed it right up until we checked out of the bridal suite the day after the wedding!
The staff were so friendly and attentive not just to me and my husband but to all of our guests, id like to give a special mention to our coordinator Megan she was an absolute star. She answered emails promptly and professionally and always in a friendly way, she was always happy to see us in the build up to the wedding and on the day, nothing was too much trouble for her she was perfect! The venue itself was stunning we had the whole day there and the staff were amazing at changing the venue from the ceremony to the wedding breakfast and then to the evening whilst making sure that the whole day was flowing perfectly for us
The food was out of this world and the chef was able to cater to a particular guest of mine with many many allergies. We went for the bbq buffet style breakfast and all of our guests said how amazing the food was the pork belly bites went down especially well! Also breakfast at the lion inn was delicious too.
The rooms were gorgeous and comfortable the bridal suite was beautiful the only thing I would suggest is maybe updating the tv to a smart tv we were buzzing after the wedding and could’ve done with some Netflix but it is such a minor detail it’s almost not worth mentioning.
The venue was also very reasonably priced we had quite a strict budget and we were able to stick within that budget all in all if you are looking for a wedding venue please consider the lion house I cannot recommend it highly enough
