About The Lodge
Built in the early 1900s, The Lodge, Duxford is in the Cambridgeshire village of Duxford, England. Nearby attractions include Cambridge University, the Imperial War Museum and Audley End House. The Stansted Airport is located nearly 20 miles from the hotel, making it the perfect spot for out-of-town guests. Its quaint grounds and beautiful gardens make the perfect setting for an intimate dream wedding.
Facilities and capacity
The Lodge's restaurant overlooks the gardens and welcomes up to 50 guests, or 42, for a wedding breakfast. The upstairs Drawing Room is a more intimate setting that can accommodate up to 30 friends and family. This room is also great for a small gathering the night before the ceremony. The Churchill Room is the smallest of the three rooms, which is a great space for guests to enjoy evening drinks & cocktails. The beautiful and secluded gardens on the grounds make a great backdrop for wedding pictures, the Tipi area is located on the grounds of the hotel and accommodates up to 100 guests for a wedding breakfast and into the evening reception.

Small touches will be remembered such as place cards, table plans, your matching colour scheme and how youd like everything decorated. The Lodge, can provide recommendations for a local florist, cakes, photographers, balloons, hair & beauty.
The hotel offers 17 boutique bedrooms which can all be booked as part of its exclusive weddings package. Main House 1, Loft 3 or Loft 5 being the most popular for the honeymoon suite.

Beautiful summer wedding
While the communication in the months before the wedding was a little slow at times, which made me slightly nervous, in the week leading up to the wedding I felt everything was in hand and felt much more comfortable. The Lodge also had the added bonus of having 17 beautifully decorated rooms for overnight stays, which were included in the sole venue hire option we chose - with breakfast also included.
Overall, they couldn't do enough for us (recommending suppliers for music, photography and flowers - all local), and they made our day extra special not having to worry about any of the finer details - many thanks again to Kayleigh, Lee and Lucy, and the rest of the team!

The most magical day
Overall great experience
They were still finding their feet with weddings, so we had to give them the benefit of the doubt, but they were very flexible, understanding and pretty much allowed us to have exactly what we wanted. Communication was good.
Lucy was exceptional in her dealing with us, as well as Craig and the rest of the team. We never felt like a hindrance, and weddings can be stressful, from both sides. Very friendly, professional and relatable.
We believe the pricing to be fair. They set out a clear pricing schedule to follow. Everything was clearly shown.
We had several meetings before, to which all our questions were answered and it made planning the day and evening very streamlined.
Our wedding time line was organised by ourselves, we feel maybe they should keep an eye on the schedule of each wedding and ensure things ran as close as possible.
We didn’t end up cutting our cake till 10pm (we forgot!) but can’t hold them to blame.
Overall, great experience. Have returned since for meals. Always recommend the venue. It’s quirky and modernised.
