The Mansion House is a stunning, historic wedding venue. Located in Newcastle, the unique venue is ideal for a wonderful wedding celebration. The house sits within three acres of its own beautifully landscaped gardens, which provide the perfect backdrop for your big day.

Whether you are planning an informal ceremony or an extravagant celebration, the Mansion House is the perfect setting for your event. Our team of experts have over 40 years’ worth of experience to draw from in order to turn your dream day into a reality. The venue is licensed to hold civil ceremonies and partnerships, allowing you to spend your whole wedding day under one roof.

For your wedding breakfast, our award-winning chef, Julian Holland, will create carefully prepared menus for a delicious dining experience. Our menus can be tailored to suit any personal tastes, needs or dietary requirements, and we’d also love to hear any special touches or ideas you have for your meal.

We have welcomed guests to the Mansion House for over 60 years, so you can rest assured we will provide the very best service on your wedding day. When your special day comes to an end, there are five beautiful bedrooms with large, comfortable beds for a wonderful night’s stay.

Wedding 24th March

This is one of the best kept secrets in newcastle. we had a viewing 6 month ago and instantly fell in love....now married with the help of the mansion house from the word go these have been fantastic espically bobby our co-ordinator little things from the bar staff to the waitors and the food was fantastic a very high standard....even little things they are willing to get involved and help and great with the kids...after a lovley night stay in the house we woke up to and buffet breakfast that again was top notch food...would just like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at the mansion house we had a fantastic day and night

Jon and Beth Wedding 4th June

We'd had our Wedding booked for a while at the Mansion House, and were quite specific about what we wanted. A mixture of Bobby, Debbie and the rest of the Banqueting Team from Newcastle were superb. They ensured we had what we needed and more, whilst having that warm genuine touch throughout.

Mark and Helens Wedding

What a fantastic day he had in this amazing venue. From start to finish what a great day we had ... We arrived and was greeted to a wonderfull reception area where the wedding took place e..And a grand staircase for the bride and her bridesmaids to come down with her dad to her side.

I now have the wedding blues

Is it wrong that I want to renew my vows only a month down the line because I want to get married in this fantastic place again?! From start to finish, myself, husband, family and friends were so well looked after by the staff who accommodated our every wish at this venue. I can't express my gratitude enough and take my hat off especially to our wedding coordinator Kristina, she literally went above and beyond the line of duty to ensure our special day went off without any hitches. From answering panicked emails at silly o'clock, making our cocktail favours with Lee and blowing up space hoppers for our young guests to play with in the garden! She and the rest of the staff are really just a credit to this place. Newcastle Mansion House really is beautiful inside and out, you wouldn't think you were in the middle of a bustling city centre! Why travel miles out into the countryside when you have this gorgeous place on your doorstep?

Our Wedding Day

My husband and I held our wedding reception here in August 2016; we were absolutely delighted with the venue itself and the quality of service which was provided. The ‘feel’ of the Mansion House is really personal; we liked that the full venue is hired for weddings – so there aren’t any other functions on that day and also there isn’t the ‘wedding-factory’ feel we’d experienced at other places. You’re encouraged to feel at home for the day and the staff were very accommodating with requests we had- even opening up the Mansion House the day before so that we could set up.
The venue itself is absolutely stunning with lots of interesting artifacts and we loved the beautiful gardens.

Could not recommend them enough

We got married here last week and from the planning to the event everything was maticulous. In the run up to the wedding Kristina was there to keep me calm, she even replied to a panicked email at 1am, which was beyond her call of duty. On the morning when we were setting up, she was running round for me, she cut some flowers from the garden to use as table centrepieces. She also cut and arranged some flowers i have brought myself, before putting our the table confetti, her attention to detail was flawless, she put all the confetti up the right way so the pattern was up for people to see. All the staff were attentive and friendly. The venue was beautiful and the food was fantastic. There was LOADS of food. Everyone has commented on what a fantastic spread it was and how beautiful the house was

Fantastic Wedding!

Perfect venue for Chris and Faye's wedding. Both before and during the wedding the staff and especially James were excellent helping Chris and Faye have exactly the wedding they wanted. The whole building has so much character and the grounds are beautiful. It really is quite an "undiscovered treasure" and would recommend any couple consider it for their wedding

Simply perfect

This is simply a perfect wedding venue! We fell in love with the place the first time we saw it almost 2 years ago and immediately booked it for our wedding in August 2016. It was even better than we ever imagined it to be and we had the best day ever! The Mansion House has the most amazing character and atmosphere from the minute you walk in. The whole house is elegant, charming and very spacious, including the 5 bedrooms which we hired for ourselves and a few of our guests. The staircase is my favourite feature and can only be described as stunning! it’s a very grand entrance leading to an equally grand room where the ceremony is held. The beautiful gardens and the outside of the building make a wonderful backdrop for photographs, but don’t be disappointed if the weather is poor as inside is just as perfect! It rained on our day so Bobby arranged for our confetti shots to be taken inside and I must say these turned out to be my favourite photos of the day! After being spoilt for choice of food we opted for afternoon tea which was easily the best I’ve had! and for our evening reception we chose burgers served in beautiful brioche buns, pulled pork and a gluten free option of fish fingers. All of it was delicious and all our guests were extremely complimentary about the food and the venue! As if this wasn’t enough we enjoyed the most gorgeous breakfast with our families the next day. There was so much on offer, from a huge choice of fruit, cereal, pastries, toast & jams, to a delicious full English. It was just the finishing touch to what was the most perfect wedding day!
