Built in 1894, The Marine Theatre can accommodate 124 guests for a sit-down meal and 394 standing guests for your evening reception. Additionally, the theatre is licensed for ceremonies so that you can spend the whole day in one location. The main auditorium is well equipped for weddings, with a semi-sprung floor perfect for dancing, and the stage provides an area for your DJ or band. This property features two dressing rooms and two bars. A pretty balcony is a perfect spot for arrival drinks, set against the famous Jurassic coastline.

The Marine Theatre has a wide range of wines for you to choose from and a choice of caterers, including their patron’s restaurant HIX Oysters & Fish House. You may enjoy local craft ales and wines, sampling what the region has to offer. You will have exclusive use of the venue on the day of your wedding and the day before, and the morning after. So you will have plenty of time to set up and pack away. As an added bonus, you will also have access to all the theatre equipment, including the PA system, microphone, fairy lights and a mirror ball. There is a roster of bands and DJs available for your wedding day entertainment.
