The Oak Barn is a high quality bespoke wedding venue overlooked by the medieval St Andrews Church in mid Devon. Surrounded by picturesque gardens and the rural Devon countryside, this venue is ideal for couples looking for a relaxed rural wedding celebration. Katharine and John run The Oak Barn which features four converted historic barns.

Facilities and Capacity

Situated in an 18th Century granary, The Oak Barn has been transformed into an elegant hall. It still maintains its rustic charm with its oak cruck trusses and romantic interior. Couples can hold their ceremony in The Oak Barn, the smaller Acorn Barn, outside or in the adjacent St Andrews (booked separately).

The venue accommodates up to 90 guests in the day and 125 in the evening. There are eleven bedrooms in the various barns offering high quality accommodation. There is a self contained bridal suite for the bridal party to prepare for the ceremony.

Services Offered

As a venue only rental, The Oak Barn welcomes outside vendors and other arrangements to transform this space into your own. John and Katharine will be available throughout should you need any help or advice. You will have access to the property from Friday mid-day until Sunday mid-day. The venue comes with 17 oak trestle tables, 90 chairs, garden furniture and use of a sound system.

The Oak Barn is well established, opening in 2012 and has hosted over 300 weddings. It is ideally suited for relaxed, more informal weddings with good personal support from the owners.
