About
Set in a quiet quarter of the beautiful spa town of Harrogate, The Old Swan Hotel combines traditional charm with modern elegance and impeccable service. With grand architecture that dates back to 1840, peaceful manicured gardens as a backdrop for your photographs, a choice of beautiful function rooms, and 136 bedrooms and suites for your guests, The Old Swan Hotel is the perfect venue for your wedding day.
Garden Weddings
At The Old Swan we can offer one of the only outdoor wedding venues in Yorkshire – a beautiful Wedding Pavilion in which to make your commitment to each other, surrounded by family and friends.
Set in the hotel’s private gardens, the Pavilion will accommodate you both, your witnesses, and the Registrar with guests able to watch your marriage ceremony seated on sashed chairs on the lawn.
Imagine Your Wedding at the Old Swan Hotel
As your wedding car arrives in front of the grand entrance, your photographer will have the perfect opportunity for beautiful pictures. Enter through impressive revolving doors into our fine hallway and the elegant atmosphere will lend an air of excitement and expectation.
The Old Swan Hotel has a variety of elegantly proportioned rooms that are licensed for civil ceremonies, so you can choose where you would like to take your vows, whether it is our intimate Rose Room, our stunning Garden Room or our gorgeous Garden Pavilion.
Your civil ceremony will be followed by reception drinks and canapes, on our front lawns or in our elegant Red Lounge, and of course those all-important photographs.
Our famous Garden Room is the perfect setting for your wedding breakfast. Surrounded by large windows, your wedding party will be able to take in our beautiful gardens, no matter what time of year you choose to get married, while enjoying a delicious three course wedding breakfast that you have selected from our choice of menus and fine wine to complement.
Our Garden Ballroom makes a wonderful space for lavish parties, with a permanent stage area for your DJ or band, and a large dancefloor so your guests can dance the night away! We have a selection of evening menus to choose from, from hot sandwiches, to a late-night BBQ on our front lawns.
At the end of the night, your guests can retire to one of our carefully furnished bedrooms, complete with generously sized beds, wide screen TVs, tea and coffee facilities, and of course en-suite bathrooms. You can then unwind in one of our large, elegant bridal suites, where you can reflect on all the memories of the day. You are welcome to invite your guests to join you for breakfast the following morning in our magnificent Wedgewood Suite with its fantastic glass-ceiling, before saying farewell.
Whether you are looking at a wedding for 4 or 400 guests, we have a variety of space and a selection of packages to help orchestrate your dream. We understand that your wedding day is the realisation of your dreams, so if there is anything that our packages do not cover, please get in touch and we’d be happy to put together a bespoke package for your special day.
