If you want the perfect wedding venue this is it. Most of the guests booked to stay. The rooms/suites are clean tidy. The staff go out of their way to help, above and beyond. The food was delicious too!

We stayed at this hotel for a friends wedding and had a great time! The service was great and staff were very friendly! Our room was spacious, clean and had beautiful views. The breakfast was lovely and filling, all in all a great stay! Highly recommend!

I was fortunate enough to stay at the Petwood Hotel, when my best friend's daughter was married there. With over 150 miles to travel to get to the wedding we treated ourselves to a room there for the night before the wedding too. As soon as we arrived we were made to feel at home by the friendly and professional staff. The room was one of the four poster rooms and it was simply stunning, lovely little touches such as the lovely fluffy bath robes and slippers provided made us feel right at home. Plenty of hanging space and an ironing board and iron provided in the room were much appreciated to enable us ensure we looked our best for the wedding. We ate at the restaurant the evening before the wedding and the food was excellent. The arrangements at breakfast were superb early arrivals for the wedding were seated together and even though we hadn't met the groom's parents this enabled us to get to know them before the main event.

The arrangements for the wedding itself were perfect and were run with exacting precision by Janet who looked after the Wedding party all day, Her professional and friendly approach ensured that everyone enjoyed the day.

The setting of Petwood is simply stunning the gardens are beautiful and there are several hidden gems to discover. With the strong connection to the RAF having been the officers mess for 617 Squadron (The Dambusters) it was wholly appropriate as the groom is in the RAF. The collection of artefacts and paintings relating to the RAF is fascinating.

One very important guest at the wedding was Cleo the bride's boxer dog and as a pet friendly hotel and holder of a Rosie award there was no issue with her attending.

I was fortunate to spend the day and night at this excellent hotel due to my daughter choosing it as her wedding venue. The service that the wedding party received was second to none. All of the staff went out of their way to make it a beautiful and very memorable occasion. The staff were friendly and helpful. The wedding meal and buffet was delicious. The following mornings breakfast was very substantial and offered lots of choice. Our rooms were clean and tidy. There was lounging robes provided and also a gift of comfortable slippers. The drink making facilities in the bedrooms were excellent and offered a numerous choice of various blends of teas. The collection of RAF memorabilia on show was very interesting to see. A fine tribute to the 633 squadron who carried out the dam busting operations. The grounds are a delight with well stocked and neatly manicured gardens. They are a pleasure to walk around and made a delightful backdrop for the wedding photos. My daughter chose to have her pet dog present for some of the wedding celebrations. It is good to know that dogs are accommodated at this hotel. I most certainly recommend this hotel to visitors.

From the day we booked it, we had total confidence in Janet and her team, and she certainly came through for us. Every little detail was remembered, everything we wanted was done, in an efficient, professional, yet friendly manner.

The hotel and grounds are stunning, and speak for themselves, but the staff really made it extra special. As I was wandering the hotel from very early in the morning of the wedding, all the staff greeted me by name, and wished us luck and made us feel like we were the owners of Downton Abbey!

Our guests have been saying what a great wedding it was, what a lovely place the Petwood is, and how hard all the staff were working. They are a credit to the Hotel.

We couldn’t have wished for a better day. The food was brilliant, we chose Afternoon Tea as the main meal, which was presented very well and was delicious.

The rooms were all so nice, our family and ourselves all had rooms with a stunning view over the gardens. They were clean and cosy, my wife was excited to have Penhaligons toiletries.

Janet the General Manager was on hand through the whole day to make sure we had everything we wanted and certainly we have never been made to feel so special before at any hotel. (Not that we get married all the time)

We honestly cannot praise the Petwood enough for our special day. We have been numerous times for food / afternoon tea, and it’s always been very good.

If you are thinking about the Petwood for your Wedding day, don’t hesitate, because you will be given a very special experience in a very special place, by very special people.
