Under new ownership since July 2022, The Ragged Cot has been transformed into a modern and welcoming space. We pride ourselves on our shabby chic interior and comfortable bedrooms, which create the perfect countryside atmosphere for your celebration.

As an independent venue, we offer a truly unique experience. We focus on using the freshest ingredients and providing friendly and efficient service. We believe in allowing you to create your dream wedding, so we offer price guides instead of package prices. This gives you the freedom to tailor your day to your specific wants and needs.

At The Ragged Cot, we have several stunning venues to choose from. The Snug, our most private venue with its own bar, is perfect for intimate weddings and parties of up to 35 guests (or 60+ in warm weather). The detailed beam roof adds a touch of romance to the space, and you can also decorate it with hanging floral and light decorations.

Our restaurant is our largest space and can accommodate up to 45 guests (or up to 60, including the bar area). With its tasteful modern design and traditional Cotswold features, the restaurant is a beautiful space for your wedding cake, guest book, or photo opportunities. The patio and garden can also be accessed through the restaurant, providing a lovely outdoor space for your guests to enjoy.

Speaking of the garden, our spacious outdoor area is the perfect spot for wedding photos. You can pose under our floral pergola or even hire a marquee for added protection from the elements. Plus, we offer the option for customisations, such as a hog roast or buffet set-up, to make your day even more special.

For your comfort, The Ragged Cot offers nine spacious and comfortable bedrooms with modern amenities. These rooms are designed with relaxation in mind, making them the perfect place for you and your bridal party to prepare for the big day. Our boutique-style rooms have received an AA 4* award, and we take great pride in providing our guests with a home away from home.

When it comes to dining, The Ragged Cot has been awarded an AA Rosette for our high-quality food and dining experience. Our in-house kitchen team creates menus with fresh and innovative dishes using only the best local and sustainable produce. We believe in supporting our community and the environment, so we use biodegradable cleaning chemicals and recycle most of our waste.
