About
Our beautiful period building, right in the heart of London, is the ideal intimate setting to organise your dream wedding for up to 90 guests. A combination of classic red brick with modern twists, the Royal Geographical Society’s building was designed by famous architect Norman Shaw and stands the test of time to remain iconic today. We look forward to working with you to make your big day one to remember.
We offer exclusive use of the Society’s venue spaces on weekends and bank holidays for your special day, which includes the Main Hall, Map Room, Education Centre and four small private rooms. The grand Main Hall is licensed to host civil ceremonies for up to 90 so do make sure to get in touch with Westminster Council to book your registrar.
A selection of spaces for you to use...
The grand Main Hall with original wooden floors and a fireplace is an elegant space to tie the knot. It’s the ideal spot for the ceremony, plus evening reception and celebrations.
The charming Map Room with its beautiful bay windows is a spacious area to welcome your guests and host a celebratory drinks reception.
Our Education Centre transforms into a lovely space for a wedding breakfast, opening out to our terraced garden to enjoy in fine weather.
You can also enjoy use of four private rooms, the Council, Lowther, Drayson and Sunley Rooms, throughout the day at your leisure.
To top the day off in style, gather your family and friends for a photograph on the Society’s prestigious Ondaatje Lecture Theatre stage
