About

The Royal Pavilion situated in the heart of Brighton & Hove’s Cultural Quarter, just a stone’s throw away from Brighton’s famous beach, it stands majestically the jewel in the cities crown. One of the most exotically beautiful buildings in Britain built as King George IV’s seaside pleasure palace when Brighton was at the heart of fashionable Regency society. It was also used as a royal residence by King William IV and Queen Victoria.

Steeped in history and heritage it has welcomed royalty and distinguished guests for centuries past to hosting some of the most beautiful weddings today. This breath-taking Regency palace offers a unique venue for civil ceremonies, partnerships and receptions. Restored to its original 1823 splendour with Indian architecture comprising of domes, towers and minarets contrasted with exotic interiors inspired by the Orient creating an unmatched romantic setting. There simply is no other venue in Britain quite like it.

Within the Royal Pavilion there are two rooms licensed for civil ceremonies, the elegant and intimate Red Drawing Room (for day & evening ceremonies accommodating up to 44) or for a ceremony that will certainly never be forgotten there’s the magnificent Music Room (available for evening ceremonies only accommodating up to 90). A truly dazzling room which you enter via the Chinese-inspired Long Gallery. You’ll be mesmerised by the lotus-shaped chandeliers and striking canvasses that adorn the walls.

Once you’ve said ‘I do’, you can then make your way out into the palace’s gardens for your all-important wedding photos. One of the few fully re-instated Regency gardens in the country, with groups of flowers and flourishing evergreens that frame striking views of the palace creating a picture perfect backdrop.

For your reception, the experienced and dedicated team at the Royal Pavilion can offer you the exclusive use of one of their two exquisite reception rooms that accommodate a max of 60 for a seated reception. Both the Adelaide Rooms and the King William IV room offer the perfect setting for you to celebrate your big day surrounded by the people you love.

Our weddings team offer bespoke and personal service that will ensure that the setting will be wonderful, the food and wine delicious and that a warm and gracious welcome awaits you and your guests.
