The Seaside Boarding House at Burton Bradstock in Dorset, sits overlooking the majestic sweep of Chesil beach and the panorama of Lyme Bay. The sea-view lawn and South facing terrace and our dedicated event room make this a truly unique and original spot for the most memorable wedding.

Whether it’s produce sourced from the sea on our doorstep from local fishermen or the rich surrounding land, our kitchen can create simple but beautiful food from canapés to a feast.

Professional staff that are neither too formal or overly casual, will calmly & expertly oversee the whole event. The owner, Mary-Lou, ran London’s infamous celeb haunt ‘The Groucho Club’ for many years and so understands your needs and the correct tone for each individual wedding.

The Seaside Boarding House is licensed to conduct marriage ceremonies and there is a pretty 18th Century Anglican church in Burton Bradstock that can occasionally arrange blessings - subject to dates and prior commitments etc.

The Pitt-Rivers Room has its own private bar, sprung dance floor and can accommodate up to 60 for a seated lunch, dinner or breakfast and up to 150 for a party. There are currently nine beautifully appointed, fully serviced en-suite sea view bedrooms, so the most important guests, family or friends can stay in abject luxury.

There are some dates we can offer exclusive use of the whole building - which can seat 120 guests for the wedding breakfast and up to 250 guests for cocktails and dancing.
