We had the most truly amazing wedding day at The Solent; it was just beautiful and everything we hoped for - and more!

Rio made the whole process feel like such a dream and it felt so special at every point! From the very first time we came in to look around, right up to the big day itself! We felt the service was so personal, we always felt well looked after and supported!

To give a summary, the biggest moment for us was when we walked into our decorated room (both for the wedding breakfast and the evening celebration) it felt like a dream come true! The food was incredible, and all of the staff did a wonderful job in looking after all of our guests! They all said how beautiful the hotel was too! It was just perfect!

Had our wedding here and couldn't be more happier with the outcome they gave us, the staff made sure that you had everything and they are amazing with help and advice.

Thank you so much to the Solent Hotel and their staff for organising and hosting our wedding. After being told by so many people that planning a wedding was one of the most stressful experiences they have been through, we can honestly say that thanks to the Solent Hotel, the whole process was a breeze from start to finish. Everything about the day was incredible and so many of our guests commented on how relaxed and friendly the atmosphere was throughout the day. The catering staff did an amazing job with the food and T'Anna, who ran the day for us, couldn't have been more helpful.
The ceremony was beautiful, we went for fairly minimal decoration in terms of flowers but the staff made the room look incredible never the less. After the ceremony the staff got to work in readying the room for the reception and we were all given time to enjoy the beautiful hotel and it's grounds. Plenty of photo opportunities. The reception in the was equally amazing, with the hotel working seamlessly with our suppliers to make sure that everything was set up in good time. Again, the food was incredible and there was plenty of it! The hotel's resident DJ, Steve had everyone up dancing and played every one of the songs requested.
A massive mention to our wedding planner, Rio, who helped us plan the whole thing in the year leading up to the big day. Neither my wife or I are particularly traditional or formal so we were a bit anxious that our fairly laid back attitude towards the wedding might be a shock to him but Rio offered amazing advice throughout and nothing was too much trouble. He always had a smile on his face and was quick to answer any questions we had. He is a massive credit to The Solent Hotel and we cannot praise him and thank him enough.
Thank you Rio and The Solent Hotel and Spa for making our special day all we had dreamt of! I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them to anyone planning a wedding in the future.

Well, where do I begin....
What a absolutely fantastic day , from beginning to end.
We booked the Fairy tale package and that is exactly what we got , and then some.
The food, the Carisbrooke Suit, the flowers, the DJ and all the suppliers the Hotel recommended , exceeded our expectations. I would also highly recommend booking the glam room for your hair and makeup, there is loads of room for the Bride and Bridesmaids, and we felt thoroughly pampered with the generous supply of bubbly and food and music in the background (we brought our own play list) whist the makeup and hair ladies worked their magic). Big thanks to Rio and the Amazing staff at the Solent Hotel and spar for making the day perfect.

We can't thank Rio and Adam enough for all your help with making our day so special. The venue was beautiful, the staff worked tirelessly and everything went smoothly. We couldn't be happier that we chose the Solent Hotel for our wedding and would happily do it all over again.

Not a week goes by without us recalling our wonderful wedding day. The preparation and attention to detail by Rio made the months leading up to our wedding very enjoyable. The final details meeting and being introduced to Caz made us both feel very comfortable knowing we were in safe hands.

On the wedding day we can’t thank Caz enough for an amazing day keeping us informed along the way. Everything felt amazing. The presentation of the evening function room set up was spectacular and we were so pleased. We'd like to thank Steve for also making the rest of the night a complete success for us. We loved the playlist and how everything worked so well with Jodie Vinall the singer. It certainly kept everyone on the dance floor.

Our bedroom was amazing!

All were friendly, welcoming and really nice people!

Louise, our wedding Co ordinator was excellent throughout the whole process of booking our wedding. She was always so very helpful and kind. She answered all of my emails no matter how many questions I asked and wasn't pushy at all. A really lovely lady!

Imogen the host was amazing. She was there with me throughout every step of the way on my day. She was really supportive and made our day. She made our dreams come true and is absolutely fantastic at her job! I am so grateful to her and genuinely feel speechless when I think how hard on our day.

The food was 5*+ all my guests are still talking about how amazing the food was and how full up we all were. It was delicious. Best Eton mess I've ever had!

The Carisbrooke suite was beautiful the team worked so hard. I was so pleased.

The team really did smash our expectations and went above and beyond. I'm going to remember this day for the rest of my life. I'm so incredibly grateful

My husband and I got married in The Carisbrooke room at The Solent Hotel and Spa in May. 18 months of planning and various emails to Louise, she was just absolutely fantastic, reassuring and patient with all of our requests at all times. All our needs and wishes were catered for. The venue looked stunning on the day, all the guests commented on all the fine details and how perfect everything was. Jake was also great, very calming and made sure everything went as planned. The food was out of this world, so many compliments received. We really couldn’t of asked for a better day, in a more perfect place, with people that made sure everything was as we wished. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts Louise, Jake, and the Solent Hotel and Spa for making our dreams a reality!

The day was absolutely perfect, it couldn't have gone better, and I really wouldn't have changed anything - it really was perfect. Thank you to Louise & Josh, you’ve both been absolutely lovely! Josh was great in our first meeting and on the day - he really made us feel like everything was under control. He was also a great Master of Ceremonies and was very helpful on the day, but also made sure we didn't worry about anything. The day felt like it was about us 100% and all of the staff were absolutely lovely.
The presentation of the dining room was beautiful, and it was nice to see it laid out before the guests arrived. The food was absolutely delicious too, and the portion felt very generous.
The evening was great, the DJ was fun and the bacon rolls hit the spot for what we wanted. The cake was absolutely delicious and our room was very lovely!
Everyone was saying how perfect the day was, and I know it was because all of the small details in the background! Each time I spoke with a member of staff and they were more than happy to assist me!
All in all, the day was perfect from start to finish, in no small part down to Louise, Josh and the rest of the team that played a part in our day. Thank you so much for everything.

Thank you so much for everything Louise and Jake did on our special day. The room looked gorgeous, from the draping to the centre pieces, it was just like a fairy tale. I really loved all the talks we had with Louise, who was so lovely to us! I have loved planning this with her. Jake was great on the day, who was smiling from the beginning!

We had the most perfect day and that was down to Louise, Laura & the rest of the team at the Solent. We would like to thank Louise for everything she had done for us to help plan an amazing wedding day, she was so friendly from the start and we are so grateful for all she had done! The day was perfect from start to finish! Laura did a great job dealing with all of our requests and helped keep the day completely stress free. All the team did a fab job with the quick setup and changeovers of the room which made the day go smoothly. We are also so thankful to the Kitchen Staff and the Chef as the food was incredible! We absolutely love the Solent Hotel!

We would love to thank Louise for playing such an important role in the planning of our wedding. It was truly fantastic. All of the staff and suppliers implemented our vision of the day perfectly. The quality of service, food and hospitality was exceptional throughout. Working with little lillies, inspiration cakes and VIP venues made our wedding planning far more stress free than we could ever imagined. We would not hesitate to recommend yourselves for any reason to anyone. We felt that Louise personally was always there to answer our queries and to ensure everything went smoothly!
