Chef Harry Mackintosh draws upon his classic French training to create delicious dishes that will impress the most discerning guests and everyone is suitably impressed with the wedding breakfast. To that end, we always invite the bride and groom (and parents, if they wish) to enjoy a wedding taster meal as our guests. This ensures that you are absolutely happy with the food that you will have on your special day. If you want something different, talk to us, and we'll have fun creating your perfect menu together.

The Swan at Hay is licenced to hold civil ceremonies, and can accommodate up to 80 people in The Garden Room, overlooking our beautiful walled garden, while The Coach House Suite can accommodate up to 120 guests for the wedding breakfast. Alternatively, if your wedding is a more intimate affair, then you may wish to use The Garden Room for a wedding breakfast for up to 50 guests. With the ceremony complete, the gardens provide a perfect backdrop for photographs and a drinks reception. Alternatively, the hotel’s wonderful Georgian rooms provide an indoor location if necessary.

The Swan at Hay offers excellent evening entertainment facilities with its dance floor, well-stocked bar and access to the garden. With 17 en-suite bedrooms, guests can also stay overnight. You can all enjoy breakfast together the morning after the wedding and swap stories and happy memories.

We offer all-inclusive packages and do not charge additional venue-hire fees. Everything is automatically included in the price, just as you would hope for.
