Welcome to our British restaurant and pub, with gardens, in the picturesque countryside of Cornwall, between Truro and Newquay. We offer sustainable British pub food with a luxury approach. It's a simple offering but showcases the best produce from in and around Cornwall.

The name 'The Tartan Fox' is inspired by Chef Adam Handling MBE's Scottish roots and the location of the pub, which is nestled in the middle of a Cornish forest. Much like a fox's home, the pub is a den to escape in the countryside. A group of foxes is called an earth, which ties into Adam's commitment to sustainability. He's all about celebrating the history of this stunning 400-year-old Grade II listed building.

Our menu gives a new walk of life to the classic pub dishes – refined with more luxury ingredients and a touch of Scottish influence, too. Focusing on seasonal produce, we have created a regularly changing menu, working closely with local producers from in and around Cornwall. We can adapt our menu to suit what you're looking for for your special day or create a bespoke menu for you.
