We recently held our wedding reception at The Vintry and had a fantastic experience. We had c.120 people for a 3 course sit down meal & an additional 50 guests in the evening. Even with staff turnover during the planning process the events team, particularly Layla, managed to maintain consistency and deliver a great service.

They were helpful at all stages, answering the millions of questions we had in the months leading up, letting us drop off decorations in the week before and even held off putting up their Christmas decorations until after our wedding (at the end of November) which other venues were not flexible on. The venue has a number of areas which can be used for a kids room/photo booth/evening food/cloakroom and this space and flexibility is hard to find in a relaxed pub venue.

On the day the team did an incredible job setting up the venue with our decorations and clearly dedicated a lot of time and effort to ensure it looked perfect, adding some lovely creative touches of their own. We were really blown away when we walked in. All our guests commented on the quality of the food and we were really impressed with the consistency and delivery given the number of guests. The staff on the day were all incredibly friendly and had huge smiles on their faces from when we arrived in the afternoon until we left in the early hours - this made for a really nice environment for us and our guests. It was clear Layla and the team cared about making the day special for us.

We thoroughly recommend The Vintry for anyone looking for a London pub reception - or any event! A huge thank you to all of the team - we will remember it forever!

We had our wedding reception in The Vintry in February and it was absolutely brilliant. As it was a Saturday The Vintry opened and we had the whole pub with 120 people seated for dinner then dancing. The staff, food and drinks were perfect. Incredibly good value for money, especially when you say the word 'wedding'! I couldn't recommend this as a wedding venue more!

The pub is a great space in a marvellous location, and the staff were without exception excellent - friendly, attentive, accommodating and extremely efficient. Our events manager Nicola was fantastic and helped us organise the event for 160 people in a very short space of time. Nothing was too much trouble.

All our guests said how much they'd enjoyed the day and how great the venue was. Huge thanks to The Vintry team for helping to make it so special.

My wife and I recently had our wedding reception at The Vintry and we really can’t speak highly enough of it.

Nicola dealt with us throughout, always with a smile on her face and always happy to answer any queries when we had them. Things like choosing the menus, despite having to cater for a variety of different dietary requirements, seemed fairly easy and everyone was catered for.

In the lead up to our wedding day, we were able to bring stuff down to the venue even when it was heaving with Christmas revellers. Every bar manager and member of staff we came into contact with made time for us and helped us prepare for the big day.

On the day itself, the pub was opened early for us to come in and start decorating. Nicola was there from the start and actually helped put the finishing touches to the décor and our cake. Everything looked perfect upon our arrival from the church and we couldn’t have been more delighted.

The canapes, evening snacks, mulled wine and main meals had everyone talking and the wine provided was excellent.

All in all, we feel we chose an exceptional venue for our wedding reception. Everything went so smoothly and everyone had a ball, we couldn’t have wished for anything more.

It’s always a sure sign of a great reception when people are still talking about it three weeks later. Needless to say, many of our friends and family were still raving about how great the food, service and décor were over Christmas.

Yes, it was a team effort, but it really wouldn’t have been the same without Nicola and all the staff at The Vintry – so thank you all!

Saturday just gone my new husband and I held our wedding reception at The Vintry. I can not praise the staff more for there hard work and determination to make our day extra special. The pub itself fit our vision and ideas so well, it is beautifully decorated and styled in a way that offers a vintage but modern atmosphere. On the run up to the wedding the events manager, Nicola was there whenever we needed her to answer questions. Vanessa and Nicola, made it possible for us to enter the City on that day as it was the Lord Mayors show. They liaised with the City of London council, which was a great relief. The food was spectacular, we have had so many compliments from our guest how gorgeous the food was. I can not fault The Vintry one bit and would recommend this venue to anyone who is looking for a somewhere to hold a private party/wedding reception. I'm an American who needed to arrange and book a wedding venue from the East Coast, while my fiance lived in England.Oh, and we had to do this in 5 months. With some online research for a romantic, rustic restaurant/pub in London, we came across The Vintry. Vanessa was our point-person, dealing with both my fiance and I for several months. She was very attentive and easy to work with - even through the Internet (email). We finally were both able to meet her in person together, about 2 months before our wedding. It was there that she helped walk us through the paperwork to plan the timeline, wedding details (seating chart, decorations) and menu options (we did a buffet). On our BIG DAY, we couldn't have been happier. Vanessa, Nicola, and the rest of the staff were professional and friendly. They were extremely attentive, especially when there was a "glitch" with our DJ (Vanessa stepped in so I wouldn't go all "Bridezilla" on him), and when all of a sudden 11pm came about and we all needed cabs back to our hotel on the other side of London (they made phone calls for some of us). If you're looking for a romantic, open-room plan setting with dark wood, white tile and Christmas lights - THIS IS YOUR PLACE. In addition, it's set back in a small courtyard, so you have space for pictures and if you have smokers, they have plenty of room to go out and mingle. The food was phenomenal. Our guests went up for seconds to get the pork belly and risotto. We also got late-night bacon butties for our guests, but they were too full from the buffet!
