This venue is absolutely stunning, the photos do not do it justice. The woods are a perfect place for any event, they’re big enough to feel like you’re in the wild and can explore and small enough that you can’t lose anyone! You immediately feel at peace when you arrive, it’s either in the air or in the water but I can assure you that you’ll have the best time in the woods!

This isn’t just a venue though, Lindsay and Charlie were absolutely phenomenal the entire time, not only did they help set up, make the place look amazing, build new benches the day before the ceremony but they made us feel at home which was so important to us, they even helped us find our runaway dog!

We will be forever grateful for them having faith in us to host our wedding festival, in all of its craziness.

Lindsay and Charlie were more than welcoming, open and honest. They helped create a magical day and were more than accommodating with our needs and requirements, making the day less stressful.
With honest conversations and an open approach the event was arranged and organised with the most stress reduction possible. Nissan hut was such a great addition to the package as getting ready room as well as 5 luxury bell tents.
We had a magical day in the woods, and and event to forever Remember.
We will also send our love and wishes to Lindsay and Charlie and will always have be open for a catch up or glass of wine.

The woods are perfect, beautiful, relaxing and tranquil. The whole experience from my first email correspondence with Lindsay to the day after our wedding ran like a clock work dream. Lindsay and Charlie are so helpful, they have thought of everything in depth and no expense has been spared in the touches they have put into the woods to make things extra special without ruining or taking away the natural beauty of the woods, it is perfect and in turn we had the perfect wedding.

The Woods at Oakley is a magical location in its own right and a beautiful wedding venue. My husband Robin and I had our ceremony and reception here in June 2024, and we highly recommend choosing this place for your wedding. It is a stunning natural forest with lovely additions for a ceremony and reception.
Lindsay and Charlie are incredible people who we've loved getting to know, and they helped us whenever we needed it. Their dogs, cats, donkeys, sheep, horse, and mini horse are all adorable and so fun to hang out with.
The venue was more than sizable enough for our small 22-person wedding. We think it could support plenty more people.

What an incredible place and incredible owners. We could truly make our wedding our own with how flexible and understanding Lindsay and Charlie were. They made our day so fun and got fully stuck in with helping us get set up. They were so friendly fun and joyful to us, our family and our friends and we could not have asked for a more beautiful venue and beautiful people to help us achieve our wedding dreams. Where to start?! We were completely blown away by how wonderful this venue is and how truly lovely Lindsay and Charlie are. They are so friendly, kind and understanding. We first visited in the winter months and could already see the beauty of the venue despite the lack of leaves on the trees. We were instantly made to feel welcome and knew that it was the venue for us. Our wedding rings were themed around Oak leaves and acorns so it really did feel right. And finding out we could plant an oak tree really cinched the deal.
We had great communication with Lindsay throughout and no query was too much for them.

We booked the Nissen Hut for the night before and the night after the wedding in order to have somewhere for the bride and bridal party to get ready. It is a brilliant space and such a great location as well.

We were encouraged to collect local greenery from the woods for decor which was a lovely touch as the flowers we'd ordered from elsewhere weren't quite what we hoped. We had lanterns for the bridesmaids rather than bouquets, and it was a lovely sight to see them all in their dresses, foraging for leaves and flowers to decorate the lanterns just before the ceremony.

On the day of the wedding we had so many people telling us that the venue was wonderful and perfect for us. The groom is on the autistic spectrum and loved that we could go wandering into the woods if we felt overwhelmed. We had a few guests who also find big groups overwhelming and they also appreciated the space and freedom.
The groom also had a few worries and queries about where we could access in the woods if needing an escape from the all the sensory overload, it was really calming and reassuring that Lindsay was very understanding without being condescending and answered each and every question.

The new kitchen is brilliant and the big walk in fridge was just right for our needs. We did a bring and share buffet so can't speak on access for caterers but it all looked great for that too.

The toilet blocks are also brilliant. So nice to have real toilets rather than a portaloo.

We are big fans of fantasy books and films so enjoyed taking photos in the woods. The groom also teaches historic fencing with long swords, so we had a sword arch as part of the day which was very fun!

We (the bride and groom) booked the bell tent for the two nights after the wedding, which we can highly recommend! We also booked breakfast which was a lovely touch. The tent was comfortable and the toilet and shower block with electrical outlets right next door were great. Lindsay and Charlie were patient with us getting out of the tent a bit late due to panic attacks and we were told there was no rush to leave the woods.

All in all a fantastic experience and if getting married in the woods is your dream, this is the place to do it!

Literally the perfect venue for us - we couldn't have chosen a better one for us. It's obviously the woods rather than a manicured hotel lawn so don't expect to wear stilettos or similar but Lindsay and Charlie were upfront about this from the start. We booked the airbnb on the premises as well which was a massive help for hair and makeup stuff and also just as a base of operation given we ended up having to do a lot of stuff ourselves (which again was fine and expected).

Lindsay and Charlie are absolutely lovely as well and made the experience as good as it could have been.

We're already planning on going back next year to celebrate our anniversary :)

The Woods at Oakley was the perfect location to host our outdoor wedding. We are nature lovers and really struggled to find a magical setting that would fully embrace the magic and beauty of the countryside, until we found the Woods at Oakley. From the breathtaking bluebells to the oak arbour, the campfire to the little fairy doors on trees, everything about the woods was perfect and you could see the love and care for its conservation from the wonderful owners Lindsay and Charlie. As part of our wedding, we were also able to plant our own tree to add a personal touch, so that we can visit the woods in the future and check in on our little oak tree. We are just so sad that the day has been and gone so quickly, we absolutely loved it and it will always be our special day!

Our wedding was made that little bit more magical because of Lindsay and Charlie, sharing in their little pocket of nature at The Woods at Oakley. Our day was better than we imagined, laughing, crying and dancing with our friends and family under the trees. We were able to transform the woods into a space that reflected us as a couple, it felt so personal. Lindsay and Charlie helped make that happen. We’ve never met more lovely and accommodating people. We didn’t want for anything and we will be eternally grateful.

If I get married again (hopefully not!) THIS is where I am getting married.

Our wedding at the Woods at Oakley was simply magical. The venue was beautiful with so many detailed touches. Lindsay and Charlie were so kind and friendly, answering all our questions and helping us through the whole experience. They did so many things for us that we hadn't even asked for that made the day even more special. We had the perfect wedding there and can't wait to return to the accommodation on our anniversary!

Look no further for a very special woodland wedding venue. Very relaxed atmosphere. Communication with the hosts was very easy and helpful. We couldn't have wanted for better venue resulting in our wedding day exceeding our expectations.

We visited so many venues looking for our perfect woodland location. We felt we were just on a conveyer belt of weddings and a bit of an afterthought with all the venues we found until we found The Woods At Oakley. Such a beautiful location. Lyndsay and Charlie are brilliant and they make you feel like your special day is their first wedding, with their enthusiasm and excitement. Cannot recommend enough.

We had so many guests making comments on how perfect this venue was, the ceremony area with dappled light and bird song filtering through the lush forest and the summer garden party vibe in the reception area just made the whole thing so magical. Lindsay and Charlie are both wonderful and easygoing people who took a huge amount of stress out of the process. Could not recommend this more as a wedding venue - the perfect fairytale setting!
