Located in the heart of Thetford, Norfolk, The Thomas Paine Hotel offers a small and chic wedding venue for couples seeking an intimate celebration. This stunning boutique hotel provides a unique and charming backdrop for your momentous occasion and luxury accommodation for you and your guests. Facilities and Capacity

The Thomas Paine Hotel is licensed for civil ceremonies and provides a lavish and comfortable setting for your evening meal and festivities. The Franklin Room can host up to 30 guests for an intimate ceremony, or The Thomas Paine Room can accommodate 55 people also our new function room as well as our new The Royal Duleep Roosevelt which will accomodate upto 80 for marriage ceremonies and 90 sit down wedding breakfast & 160 for evening buffets.This room has LED lighting which has custom changing colours to match your wedding theme. Our room also has custom handpainted murals of the lovely Lebanese wine Chateau Musar, Thomas Paine himself and a history legend known as Marharaja Duleep Singh. After mingling with your loved ones, you can head to one of the chic function rooms for a memorable wedding breakfast. Up to 100 guests can join you in celebration of your milestone event. This homely venue is beautifully decorated with neutral tones and elegant furniture so couples can customise the space to meet their vision. With ample space for a seated meal, dance floor, and live music facilities, you and your loved ones will have a night to remember. After a long day of festivities, you and your guests can retire to nine uniquely-styled boutique bedrooms, all refurbished to a high standard.

Biker Wedding

The ceremony was fantastic. The venue is lovely. The hosts are very friendly, welcoming and accommodating as we had 40 bikes and trikes plus 100 guests. They really made our day special. Thank you Gez and family x

Our wedding ceremony and reception was recently held at The Thomas Paine Hotel and wow what an experience! Gez, Rosy and their staff looked after us so well. No request was too much and the setting was beautiful. We were extremely lucky to have the hotel to ourselves, it had such a lovely, warm and friendly atmosphere.
The food was beautifully presented and tasted wonderful.
I cannot highlight enough how beautiful this setting is and how well we were looked after.
Thankyou Gez and team for wonderful memories that we will cherish.

Best wedding venue with the best staff who treat you as family.. They made our day a day to remember and cherish for ever, hotel management Gez & Rosie catered literally for everyone and nothing they were asked was too much. Can't wait to go back over and over again for an amazing stay and company plus entertainment and the food was totally delicious. Thank you

Perfectly organised

Gez and Rosy took the time before, during and after to make sure everything we wanted was done. The organisation before made the day more enjoyable with every question I had answered and fulfilled. My husband and I felt like our guests and ourselves were well fed and looked after. If was also lovely after to have a room to relax in after an exiting but exhausting day. The attention to detail with our requests were Fantastic and I couldn’t thank them enough for going above and beyond to ensure our day went smoothly.
We enjoyed our day so much that we now enjoy our anniversary meal at the Thomas Paine which is lovely to reminisce over our day.

Our wedding

From our first visit to our wedding day, the support, guidance and professionalism shown by the Thomas Paine and the staff have been second to none. I had expected some sort of hitch on the day, even if only small – but hand on heart, the day went perfectly and the staff made each one of our guests feel important. A wedding is a once in a lifetime event and you need a true professional like Gez to make it a success

First and foremost what an absolute warm and friendly place too have our wedding gez rosie and schetal worked tirelessly too make sure we had everything we needed.Not only did they have our wedding they had two, too look after and pulled it off to perfection both wedding parties celebrated well into the night what a great day/night cant wait to return for first anniversary. Perfect in every way

Beautiful personal outstanding

We had our wedding recipient on August 22 at The Thomas Paine. We were meant to have this couple of years ago but due to covid, it was canceled. The whole way through the support we had from Gez and his team was amazing always put us first and kept us in the loop with any changes.
On the day it was very HOT... But that didn't stop us! Party all night long. His staff kept up all night with food and drink service and everyone was saying how lovely the venue and staff are. They made the effort with every single guest, we feel that Gez his team, and his family are now part of our family and the warm welcome you get every time we go over. The personal touches and the effort they put in were outstanding. We have made some lovely memories here that will never be forgotten. I would do it all over again there and change nothing ... Truly amazing and Beautiful .... Mr&MrsGreen

5 Star Service made our Wedding Day so special

We were lucky enough to have booked the Thomas Paine Hotel for both our Ceremony and Wedding Reception. From arriving on the Day before my wedding I was treated like a princess. Nothing was to much trouble for Gez and his team. They arranged a meal for the family staying the evening before the wedding and made everyone feel so welcome. On the day of the Wedding the team at the Thomas Paine Hotel went over and naive to ensure friends and family were welcomed and looked after. The Wedding Breakfast was amazing so many compliments from our guests. Gez helped us find a DJ who was fantastic. All I can say is Gez and his team made our day so special. They made us feel like one of his family. Words can not describe how they much we appreciated everything they did for us. First class service, food, drink and entertainment. 5 Stars all the way.

Fabulous Time for Our Wedding Celebrations at the Thomas Paine

Had a wonderful time celebrating our wedding day at the Thomas Paine Hotel. Thanks to the lovely Gez and Rosy

Had a lovely meal with friends and family the night before. Exclusive access for the weekend.. with guests staying at the hotel. They say you start as guests and leave as friends.. Certainly true in our case. Great attention to details.. Really friendly. Highly recommended
