Our ceremony was conducted in the 1881 restaurant, in front of the bay window, so the views were to die for. It was incredibly well organised and the decorations were brilliant. My husband and I entered the room at the same time from either end, and walked up the isle together. It couldn’t have been better. After the ceremony, we were provided with cocktails on the terrace, which gave our wedding guests a fantastic chance to have a good chat. Our formal photos were taken in the gardens at the Grand, which overlook the entire bay. I’ve seen some previews, and the location is stunning. Inside there are also some fantastic locations for photos, such as the grand stair case in the lobby. The Wedding Breakfast was the best meal I’ve had in my life. The chef was able to make 54 meals taste just like the one we had at our tasting session. All of our guests commented on how fantastic the food was. The honeymoon suite, was, without a doubt, the best hotel room I could ever have wished to stay in. Comprising of 2 bedrooms (one en suite), a lounge, and a fantastic bathroom. The beds were certainly comfy, and after a day of standing up, walking and dancing, this was certainly welcomed. The Grand Hotel did a fantastic job looking after us on our special day, and the staff could not have been better. We not only have fantastic memories, but we also have friends for life at The Grand. I would, without a shadow of a doubt, recommend The Grand Hotel for your special day.
