About

Nestled in the beautiful Dumfries, Galloway, and Ayrshire countryside is Dumfries' Torr House, a charming manor wedding venue. After undergoing extensive renovations, this gem is a contemporary haven perfect for celebrations with loved ones. Its traditional white exterior, stunning grounds, and chic but stylish aesthetic will bring an air of sophistication to your exciting day, where memories will be made to last a lifetime.

Facilities and Capacity

Light-filled, with chevron wooden flooring, calming hues on the walls, and a mix of rustic and modern furnishings, Torr House is the place where dreams come true. With a full ceremony licence in tow, its meticulously maintained lawns can play host to an idyllic outdoor union with the sun shining down on your love. On chillier days, The Library Room is a cosy indoor alternative so guests can feel the warmth from your vows and the stove fireplace. While you and your new spouse capture the "just married" photos with your photographer, your invitees can head to the bar for tasty nibbles and a glass of their favourite tipple. Afterwards, your feast will take place in the event space if you are envisioning an extravagant affair with an extended guest list or back in the Library if an intimate dinner is more your vibe. The entire venue has a 150-person capacity, ensuring all kinds of occasions can be accommodated. As the night draws in and you have danced your last dance, you and your nearest and dearest are welcome to stay in one of Torr House's seven beautifully appointed bedrooms so you can relax in serene surroundings without leaving the property.

Services Offered

Torr House offers their venue for private use for the entirety of couples' wedding weekends. Their dedicated coordinator will collaborate with you from your first viewing to dress it up as you wish so you can see your relationship reflected in every element. If you choose to have an outdoor ceremony, the team has a selection of rentals, like wooden folding chairs, a wooden arch, and outdoor matting, so it can be executed flawlessly. A great wedding would not be complete without food and drink that delights the palate, precisely what the catering team will provide. Their typical menu boasts hot and cold canapés, plated or platter dining, delicious desserts, and moreish evening bites. Alongside the usual table wine, cold bottles of beer, and bubbles for toasting, Torr House also boasts a quirky Prosecco Van with prosecco, Pimm's, or cocktails on tap.
