Tudor Barn Eltham is an idyllic, exclusive-use wedding venue located in Greenwich, England. This South East London hidden gem is nestled on 13 acres of exquisite parkland and overlooks a medieval moat. It provides a serene, scenic, and secluded backdrop for your celebration while remaining conveniently accessible to the amenities and attractions of Central London. Only 20 minutes from the city centre, the barn is one of only a few genuine Tudor Barns still standing today. It is all that is left of the country mansion that William Roper built for Margaret Moore in 1525. Its romantic origin story will serve to highlight your own happily ever after as you dine and dance the night away.
Facilities and Capacity
Weddings at Tudor Barn Eltham are held in the stunning Tudor Gallery, which features original beams and breathtaking stained glass windows. In the warmer summer months, you can also take advantage of several delightful outdoor spaces. These include the Moat Terrace and Tudor Lawn. The venue has a capacity of 180 seated during the day and 200 standing for the evening reception.
Services Offered
When you wed at Tudor Barn Eltham, you will be carrying on the tradition of celebrated nuptials hosted at the venue, including those of Hubert Bland and Edith Nesbit. Just because your wedding carries on this legacy, however, does not mean that it won't be original. The staff knows that your special occasion is one-of-a-kind and will draw upon their wealth of knowledge and expertise to ensure a bespoke experience. These professionals provide in-house catering and beverages, an entertainment team for your DJ or live musicians, and seamless service.
We do not allow outside catering.

Good wedding at Tudor Barn
The venue is great and it's beautiful.
We had amazing service from Darren for the Wedding Breakfast.
However, organising for the day at the venue is not easy as communication and meetings did not go smoothly. There is very little flexibility and during the day they did not play our march in song for the ceremony which was disappointing.

We loved our wedding at Tudor Barn!!
Great service, very friendly and proactive personnel. The only minor detail is that we tried our meals with a different chef than the one who cooked at our wedding day, but the food was still lovely. Highly recommended venue.

July 2024 Wedding
My husband and I got married in July 2024 at The Tudor Barn and had the most perfect day. Everything ran so smoothly from booking our day to the wedding itself. Suzie was brilliant with the planning and was so helpful whenever we had any questions. The staff on the day were incredible, everything was timed perfectly and Georgia made us feel so relaxed and we didn't have to worry about a thing. The food was amazing and all of our guests made comments about how much they enjoyed the wedding breakfast and buffet. The DJ was great and made sure our requests were played. The venue itself and the gardens are so beautiful and we were so happy with how everything was set up. Overall we just had the most amazing experience and would recommend this venue to anyone. Thank you to everyone for helping to make our day so special. I have tried to add some food and outside of the building photos but for some reason have only been able to upload 3 photos, which show how lovely the inside and gardens are.

Amazing wedding at Tudor barn
I honestly don’t know where to start with our review! We have just had our wedding at Tudor barn and it was truly the best day of our lives! Firstly, would like to thank Suzie who was honestly absolutely AMAZING and really helped my stay calm over our wedding planning! She was always happy to help! Really listened to exactly what we wanted and offered some amazing advice! I was actually extremely shocked at some of the comments made about her because from start to finish she has always been super helpful and just genuinely lovely! All of the staff at Tudor barn was extremely friendly with our guests, so professional and had quick service the whole day! A big thank you to the chef’s as the food was incredible and got lots of good comments about the buffet. We did decide to use the recommended suppliers and we are so happy we did! Staar and chic did an absolutely amazing job! Everything was very well communicated and we had exactly what we asked for! I’d like to mention we made a change to our entertainment a few weeks before and staar was more than happy to help! The barn and the grounds are absolutely beautiful! I couldn’t recommend a more magical place to get married! Again thank you Suzie and everyone at Tudor barn for making our day one we will never forget! We honestly would have not changed a thing! ❤️

Amazing wedding experience!
My wife and I were married at Tudor Barn in July 2024. From the start of our booking to the wedding day everything went seamlessly. The food was absolutely gorgeous and the DJ really good quality. It really was our perfect day, just as we'd imagined it.

Perfect London barn wedding
Thank you Tudor Barn Eltham for such a perfect day for our wedding! The venue and grounds are remarkably secluded given the surrounding area and how close it is to a station.
We always felt preparations were in safe hands with Suzie in the lead up and felt so well looked after by Georgia and Darren on the big day!
The food options are limited to what the venue caterers offer but there are plenty of choices and the food was all delicious and had lots of positive feedback from guests.
Overall we feel we made a perfect choice with this venue and wouldn’t change a thing!

Absolutely amazing experience from the moment we popped in and they agreed an impromptu tour through to the follow up after. Great flexibility and value for money compared to some other options we looked at. Such a stunning venue that doesn’t need any dressing up, the feedback from our guests was outstanding and everyone wants to relive the day as much as we do ❤️

Stunning! Zero stress, friendly and expert staff, the best day.
We had an incredible day for our wedding ceremony at the Tudor Barn! Everyone we worked with from the initial visit up to final bits of follow up after the day were so professional. The team at the Tudor Barn take the stress away from wedding planning and it was so reassuring to know that they do this literally every week. If you're not sure where to start with your planning, they will give you a structure of the day to help you get started. They're also so flexible with making it your own day, so it doesn't feel at all 'off-the-shelf' but you get all the benefits of a venue that can provide everything you need in-house. The planning meetings we had were really helpful and made sure we had thought of everything. On the day, they set up the venue for us exactly as we wanted, and the next day everything was nicely packed away for us to collect! On the day itself, the staff were amazing - so friendly, full of positive energy and really wanting it to be the best day it can be. The food and drinks were all wonderful, the dancing was fantastic. The Tudor Barn have all the elements of your perfect day under control, so you can sit back and enjoy it!

Amazing Venue!
Really lovely venue tucked away in Eltham, train station and main roads close by so easy to get to. Food was delicious and the staff really helpful. A wide menu to choose from and they let us choose our own evening food. Surrounding gardens beautiful and well kept, and are great for photos.

Perfect wedding
Tudor Barn is truly a hidden gem, the day could not have been more perfect. Everything ran as planned, the staff were extremely professional. It is a beautiful setting and the staff were very accommodating.

Overall great experience.
Overall our wedding experience at the Tudor Barn on Saturday 23 September 2023 was great.
Positives were:
- The venue itself and grounds looked beautiful on the day and were well maintained
- The running of the day was organised very smoothly by the staff without being in your face
- The staff were attentive, efficient and had a good attitude
- The canapés, 3-course dinner and evening food was excellent and got a lot of compliments
- The drinks reception music by guitarist J was just the right volume and played very well
- The venue-owned items like tables, chairs, post box etc. were good quality and it was nice not to have to think about a lot of those things
- The overall value for money I’d say was pretty good
Negatives were:
- We found it a bit tricky at times to personalise the day and the decorations as much as we wanted, and we felt a bit like the venue would prefer we fit into a ‘package’
- We’d said a few times we wanted no one to pay for drinks and a bar tab to be set up until the free drinks package started in the evening, but this didn’t happen and I had to ask the bar to start one before the ceremony, although this didn’t happen as I found out people were still having to pay for drinks
- The DJ provided by the events company STAAR wasn’t great. He messed up the first dance song, didn’t play all the songs we’d asked for, refused requests even though we’d said to allow them and the mixing between songs was awkward
- The selfie mirror operator, again provided by STAAR, pushed someone who tapped him on the shoulder to ask a question and grabbed a hat off someone’s head which pulled at their neck, so a bit aggressive

We had an absolute blast and will remember it for the rest of our lives!
Our guest adored the venue! We got married on the hottest Saturday of the year and the venue worked perfectly, the mix of indoor and outdoor space allowed the day to flow perfectly, creating a relaxed, fun atmosphere. Every guest felt so welcome and comfortable. The staff were incredible from planning through to the day, adapting to our requests, and had such helpful advise. Suzie, Georgia and Jade we can not thank you enough for such an incredible, happy day!

Great day!
My wedding was only a few weeks ago and I couldn’t have asked for more! The team was great, they have a wonderful place for weddings and celebrations, if you’re looking for a rustic vibe in London with accessible prices come here!
Had the place just for our guests, DJ, canapés and a lot of wine! Stressful months planing but at the end everything went well.

Beautiful wedding day
The venue has good flexibility as food and drinks is done by min spend, so we opted for buffet and canapes instead of a traditional sit down course. Suzie was great in the lead up to the planning and we had 2 long phone calls to go through everything. The team was probably a little too organised and i felt bad for wanting to add loads of things last minute but they were okay with all my last min additions and changes. You also drop off all your decorations the day before and they will help you set up everything! (or liaise with the suppliers to help set up everything!)
Everyone had a great time and loved the venue and food. The venue itself is so beautiful and is also surrounded by a pretty park which has a lovely bridge and water feature. It was a shame we didn't have much time to enjoy the food we paid for, husband got a little annoyed as he didn't get to enjoy much of the canapes and had to have the dessert cold as we were taking pictures and everyone kept going up to him to tell him how amazing the food was!
The only downside was that we couldn't jump during the dancefloor as it was right underneath where they kept the wine. Was a teensy bit of a buzzkill but overall a great day!
